"MEMBER ESTIMATE WAS MAILED TO HER AS I WAS INSTRUCTED TO DO . WE NEVER HERD BACK FROM HER WHICH IS COMMON WHEN A HOME OWNER DOES NOT WANT WORK DONE AND I DO NOT MAKE FALLOW UP CALLS ON REPAIR ESTIMATES HAD SHE CALLED BACK I WOULD HAVE MORE THEN GLAD TO BRING HER A COPY. THANK YOU SAL BARBIERI"
The roofing installation team was amazing; they arrived early and wasted no time in getting to work. You can tell this team has worked together for a long time. They were all knowledgeable, skilled and efficient. No standing around for this team, they got to work and stayed at it until the immaculate cleanup was complete. This team has a great work ethic. . The team leader, Chris, was wonderful in answering questions and making sure we were pleased with the finished product. Clean up included removing small marks on the siding and a nail magnet to assure any loose nails were picked up - Important to a grandma with small grandkids around.
The gutter installation team was just as knowledgeable, efficient and concerned for customer satisfaction. This is another Northside team with a great work ethic. We were amazed at the speed and neatness of the installation. We are so pleased with the look and efficiency of the new gutters.
In summary, if you want a firm that provides an excellent product, no high pressure, great employees that know what they are doing and is concerned with customer satisfaction than be confident in selecting Northside Roofing.
p.s Northside made sure I would no longer have a problem with my flat roof section. Installed a system that included running the protection up and under the siding for added protection. Looks great and provides peace of mind.
"In response to the member's statement, we did call him back and on his first phone call to us we did explain that we "do not do estimates on speculation of occupancy" (a property that you “might” purchases) and if we did there was a fee for a “None Home Owner Occupancy Quote“. Other wise the estimates are always free. If a customers "does" pay for the quote given on a home they “do not own“, and then hires our company, we "deduct" that amount paid from the contract price as a "credit" back to the customer. We did offer to provide a quote in this manor, he did not agree with our policy and felt he should not have to pay. Our estimates are quit through and involved. They can be time consuming, also we need access to the attic of the home to inspect the underside of the roof for damage such as mold or improper ventilation and or exhaust fan venting as to provide a competent estimate. Being that Mr.Godoy did not own the home we would not have been able to do a full inspection as he could not provide us access. In attempt to try to help the member, I had mentioned that if I could find time in our busy schedule, the following day we might be able to do a quick ball park estimate if we happened to be in the area of his perspective property at "No CHARGE". We did call him back, left message. He did follow up with us, and I had let him know that we did not have a chance to drive by his home and if by chance was in the area in the next few weeks I would give him a call with a quote again at "No Charge". This may seem like we were not attending to the member's needs but we have a very large customer base, that do occupy there residents and were in more urgent need of our service’s. Once again we did offer to make an appointment with the member but as state above he did not wish to pay for our services as this manor dictated. In closing we feel that the member's rating of our company was unjust and unwarranted ,simply because he disagrees with our company policy. And for this we are truly sorry. As always Norhtside Roofing continues to provide excellent service and quality craftsmanship to our large customer base, and we look forward to continuing our business with all of our Angie’s List clients!!!"
"In response to the member’s comments in regards to the work we preformed at her home, we would like to make the following statement. First and for-most we are a “Certified Master Elite Contractor” and authorized by “GAF/ELK”. No subcontractors were used on her project. We do admit that our crew did jump the gun and get to work earlier than we would have hope. The weather was calling for rain later in the day and our foreman made the decision to star at 6am, but not 5:30. For this we do apologize. We did send a fair amount of our employees to her home, but not 15! That would have included everyone in our company, we did have other jobs to do that day so there was no way we could of sent that many employees. “Yes” I’m sure there was a lot of noise. I’m not sure what was to be expected. Of course there was a lot of noise to be heard we were tearing three layer of roofing off of her home, and the base layer was cedar shake. Its definitely a project, but nothing were not accustom to. I’m not quit sure how we could avoided the noise. As far as the amount of soffit vents that were installed we did estimate 28, and 26 did get applied. This was done in the interest of aesthetics to keep the vents evenly space and look balanced but the function of the vents was not compromised. The member's house had three layers of roofing on it. There for when removing multiple layers of roofing that had been on the home over a number of years inevitably there will be what appears to be a some sort of gap. Its more or less a reveal of the siding (cedar siding) that was covered up by the multiple layers of roofing over time. In regard to the “step flashing”. It was installed, and installed correctly! We spoke directly to the inspector who admitted he made a mistake on his own inspection. He admitted that he did not lift the shingles up high enough to do a proper inspection because he was afraid he would damage the shingle and disrupt the sealant that was applied along the exterior wall where it meets the roof, due to the fact that the roof was “freshly installed” There for not being able to have the step flashing in full view. We asked him to go back and do what ever he need to do to verify to the home owner that the flashing was there and installed correctly. If need be feel free to contact “Gunther Home Inspections” at 585-349-3900. Ask for the Inspector who preformed the inspection at the above address. There was a statement made that “we turned around a big job in two and a half days”. Her home was only a 20 square job, an average job at best! The timeline of two days was not unreasonable…..at all. We did break two small branches on her hydrangeas an again we do apologies for that. Our foreman did make us aware of the incident and we did inform her. I must say her yard was immaculately keep and landscaped beautifully with many, many plants. And we did take extreme caution in protecting her yard as we do on every project The probability of having absolutely not one broken small branch though out the whole project is very low. Were not saying that it is expectable but we feel that we took the most extreme efforts to ensure the protection and safety of her property and it was a minuet incident. If the statements made by the member in this report yielded and concern to our future client base, please feel free to call us at our office or drive bye the above address to observe the work we had preformed. We would be happy to discuss and questions you may have. In any event, Nothside Roofing is committed to excellence in the industries and will continue to serve our customers to the best of our ability as we have been doing since 1987. As our Angie's list report reflects we have earned the highest of accolades from our past customers and we appreciate there continued business."
"the request the for the quote was for an ice damming problem the home owner was looking for an inexpensive repair which i was not interested in due to the fact that i felt it would not work and would live me liable for a problem later on. i was not upset at all just not interested in the job."
