I got them from Angie's List and they were highly recommended. My experience with them was dissatisfactory. The job was done good, don't get me wrong, but the problem was they changed crews three times on me. Then it took them three years to complete it; there were a few things they did not complete. To this date I still have not gotten the final bill that I paid in full and that everything has been resolved. None of my warranties have I received. I received blank paper. The guy I was dealing with was a guy named Marshall, he was the main salesman. He left and left me hanging. When I tried to reach him several times he finally said for me to just call Northside and have them give me my final bill and the warranties. So I was left hanging and am very frustrated. I haven't dealt with it yet. The final crew that got here was headed up by a guy named Gary and they did a wonderful job on the siding. He and his partner were very enthusiastic, worked very hard and did a great job. The gentleman who installed my windows did a beautiful job and did a great job as well. I am satisfied with the work; I am dissatisfied with the other attentions that should have been paid. It took three years to complete a one year job. They kept having to come back and come back. The workers in the first two crews I was not too thrilled with. It was just a bad experience in that aspect. The personal aspect of it was lacking. This remodel was for my daughter's house and she has special needs so the warranties are important. I wanted to put a new porch on too and I wanted to continue, but I elected not to because of that. The workers were excellent.
One disappointing thing was that after Marshall collected the balance of the money we never saw or heard from him again and that was before the job was completed - no inspection of the work the siders did or anything. He did, however, contact us by phone after the job was completely done to tell us he'd moved to another company. Not the classiest move.
The work done was good. The house looks great and we're very happy with the final product, however the guys left a fair amount of garbage in their wake. Tons of cigarette butts, pieces of siding (small and med. sized), old siding, nails, etc. Marshall had bragged on his siders and their work was nice but they were not very neat about it. By contrast the roofers practically combed our grass to ensure not a nail or piece of roofing was left behind.
Overall I would recommend Northside and Sal, if we need further work on our house they'll be the ones I call first.
"Mr. [Member Name Removed] has a private number that does not show up on our phone system. When we would call him there was never any answer. We were also to be paid with a 2 party check from his bank then we received a call from his bank stating that Mr. [Member Name Removed] had told him to make the check out to him because we had been paid in full which was not the fact. We also made many trips to his home to collect and the door was never answered. We eventually were paid in full 2 months after repairs were made to his home. Thank You Sal Barbieri"
In spite of some record heat they worked very hard at the main roof tear off with layers of shingles. We have tongue and grove on the main house, and plywood sheathing on the addition. Both of them look fantastic!. They also took a look at our sky lights and added a little calking for no charge. The job cost just what they had bid on the job with no extras (even though they warned us if the decking needed to be replaced, it would cost extra.) The crew was courteous, and very patient about answering our questions.
They cleaned up after themselves, and even swept the sidewalk! They also honored the coupon for Angies list, and saved us $250.00! We will definitely be using them for other projects that we have planned for the future.
Very knowledgeable about roofing products and their quality and lifetime. New roof installed quickly and professionally. Clean up done to our satisfaction. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Great job!

"Mr [Member Name Removed] was given a estimate over the phone prior to us going to his house later in the day he called us back after calling other contractors who he said were charging a lot more money. When crew went to his house he was qouted a price based on the work which he requested once work was completed and we resolved his problems he payed our crew the agreed on price> It was after they were done that he called to ask for money back for the work that we had compeleted and i did not feel was fair. Thank You Sal Barbieri"
Work was begun on schedule and completed ahead of expected timeline. Careful work and immaculate clean up, respectful and quick work on our old historic house.
