Description of Work: I called them to fix the running toilet for which they installed a tank replacement kit (which I purchased at Home Depot)the previous year, and two leaking sink faucets. On 8/26/15 the repairman (who originally installed the kit) fixed the kit, but said he couldn't do anything about the leaking faucets because the water would have to be shut off to the entire building (I live in a co-op), so nothing was done. For this I was charged, and immediately paid, $156. | |A few weeks later the toilet wouldn't stop running, so I called around 9/8/15, told them the fix didn't hold, and arranged for a plumber to return the morning of 9/11/15. I received a call around 9:00 that morning saying that they were backed up and asked if it was OK for them to come that afternoon. I agreed and told them that if it was easier for them, they could come on 9/14. They said they were sure they could make it that day (Friday), but would call me back either way. Not only did they not come on Friday morning, or Friday afternoon, or Friday night, but they didn't call me as promised. I waited around all day Monday (despite my need to attend to other matters) for what turned out to be a NO-SHOW and a NO-CALL. This was exceptionally unprofessional, inconsiderate and overall unacceptable. I obviously debated for many weeks whether to blast them on Angie's List because I was too disgusted with them to call them directly. As an Angie's List member, I felt compelled to provide this review. | |By the way, several Internet sites (including This Old House) describe in detail how to fix a leaky faucet, only needing to turn off the water supply to the sink itself, and not to the entire house (read "building"). Perhaps Marinelli should look at these websites to learn a thing or two.

 + -1 moreThe city of White Plains can be a bit daunting to deal with when it comes to Bldg Inspections, etc. Though I was unaware - by "rolling in" a portable hot tub under my deck - I was in violation of White Plains building and plumbing codes. Go figure - as I didnt' "build" anything - nor did I install any "hard water" line. I did, however, make sure that I was in electrical compliance by filing for a permit, and installing a dedicated electric line. Apparently, an "Electrical" inspector came by to inspect the power, but in short order found me in violation of plumbing and building. Long story short - Billy did his home-work, immediatly called White Plains Bldg department to get his "ducks in a row". He understood what they needed, got me compliant, and was able to "speak the same language" to the folks at the Bldg department. He's obviously well respected there, and was able to get things done, and approved very quickly. I recommend Billy very highly.
Description of Work: Installed a Vacuum Breaker Hose Bib - a requirement for passing my plumbing inspection on a hot tub.

 + -1 morePlumber came promptly, was courteous, efficient and explained in detail the problem with the toilet.Fixed the problem quickly and in almost 50 years of dealing with plumbers, he was the only one who told us to call him if the problem was not resolved. His price was not out of line with other plumbers and he gave us a senior discount. I will certainly call him if/when we have other plumbing problems.

 + -1 moreMy call was returned promptly. I was asked a fair number of questions about the new sink and the problems in the kitchen so that the plumber would be prepared. He still, however, had to run out twice to get parts. This is an old house and certain things were not in the current standard formation. He was prompt ,effecient, and friendly. The sinks look great. The bill came 2 days later. The labor time was listed as an hour longer than what was spent doing the job and the hourly labor charge was a bit more than had been quoted. I called the boss and a correction was ,made very easily. He was very responsive to my concerns and questions. My husband noticed later that the sink did not appear to have been bolted to the wall despite hardware being enclosed in the box. Nothing was mentioned during the visit but when I inquired about this by phone the boss spoke to the plumber and got back to me with the explanation - the faucet hardware was too close to the spots on the porcelain where the bolts were meant to go. He offered to come out and take a look as well.
Description of Work: installed a pedestal sink and faucet in our bathroom and removed the old one, changed the valves and replaced the piping so it fit the older outlets. He also removed a rusted kitchen sink faucet and replaced it with a new one. He changed some of the dishwasher piping to bring it up to code.

Description of Work: I had to have mold remediation, and I needed a plumber to tell me if my sump pump was the culprit. Plumber found the sump pump in good order, and they never tried to sell me a new one or make any charges except the service call. I also called Friday afternoon and they came very quickly, within the hour.

Spoke to Billy and explained what needed to be done and he could not have been nicer or more accommodating. He called when he said he would call and he came on time. He worked steadily and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. Small, family-owned company with fair prices and responsive, nice people who really know their business.

Description of Work: We had cooper piping for our natural gas. Billy came and changed our entire gas lines over to meet code. It took 1/2 day. He came twice. Once because we smelled gas. He came, spent about 3/4 hour checking and talking with us. He charged nothing for this visit. The initial estimate for the work was $ 2000.00. He ended up charging $1350.00.

 + -1 moreI can state that this is one of the most professional contractors you will ever find in Westchester County or in the world for that matter. I have used them many times for various jobs, like replacing my entire basement pipes, to anything related to plumbing. In terms of price, they normally estimate at around the middle price and that s just fine with me, as they are the best at what they do.
Description of Work: We had an emergency gas problem and they were the only contractor in the area that came right out with two people to assist Con Edison with the shut off and work necessary to bring the system back up to passing grade. They waited there the entire day to ensure that the inspector, who finally came out, would pass the house s gas line. This was successful.
