Adam was great! First looked at a picture of the problem that I sent him via text was able to tell me of all the possible problems- good and bad- via telephone. I brought the tv in and left it so he could test it in person. He checked it out right away and learned the problem could be fixed. The TV was repaired in less than a week and the picture is great.

Fixed. Cost of service call deducted from final price. Adam was responsive and could not have been nicer. I highly recommend him and would go back to him with any other electronics problem.

Adam was very responsive, courteous and professional. He gave an estimate that seemed reasonable to me and explained the situation thoroughly. Given the age of tv I opted not to have the repairs done in the end but but there was no pressure from him. They disposed of the tv but removed a lamp for me that still had some life left that I could reuse or resell. Excellent service all around.

Answered the phone directly himself. Set an appointment and met me at his business. Did a free diagnosis and estimate for the problem. Told us he guaranteed his work and that he put a part in and it didn't fix the problem he would remove the part and their would be no charge. At any rate his diagnosis was right on, he tested the tv for a day to make sure we were ok and everything is great. We are very happy and would highly recommend him.

We've used Adam for previous issues on our now 14 year old 73" rear projection TV.    He is responsive on the phone, punctual on visits, respectful of our home and belongings and has always been able to get our TV operating again with minimal cost. 

In a world cursed by planned obsolescence, Adam continues to find ways to save his client's money by repairing as opposed to leaving them trapped in the endless circle of buy till it breaks so you can buy another. 

He's good and trustworthy and on top of that a good person.  We need more fixers like him.

I awakened this morning with no picture on my television and no idea why. I called Adam from my office and he made a same-day appointment to come to my home and diagnose the problem.

Adam diagnosed and the problem (a faulty receiver in my home theater system) almost immediately, restored my television to and quot;fully usableand quot; (by re-running some cables to bypass the defective receiver) quickly, and made some incredibly valuable suggestions about next steps I should consider.
Beyond the and quot;technicalsand quot;, Adam arrived on-time, was courteous and professional, and I found the price for his services to be eminently reasonable. As I told him when he was leaving, if I should have any television problems in the future I know who I'm going to call.
I couldn't recommend this company more highly!

I was skeptical that I could find a TV repairman that was honest and competent. Adam was both and more so. He picked up the TV, diagnosed the problem as a faulty power supply board and called me with the estimate. I thought it was reasonable and the TV worth fixing so i told him to proceed. He promptly repaired the unit and delivered it all inclusive in the price. I highly recommend Engel A and V service.

I just want people to know how kind and generous Adam was to offer his advice over the phone. I will definitely call him if I ever need his services again.

I brought in my mother's 22 year old 15and quot; Zenith TV to see if it could be (or should be) repaired. The shop is owned and operated by the same individual. When I brought it in he told me that he would check it and see if it can be or should be repaired. If not, there would be no charge. That statement in itself was surprising, given that many other places charge a minimum of $50 or more just to assess the repair needs. He called the next day and said that this TV was indeed worth repairing bu he cautioned that I should not expect the sharpness and clarity found in computer monitors or HD flat screen TV's. I was pleased with his honesty and told him to proceed with the repair. The repair was done quickly and the TV is back in my mother's kitchen where it had stood for 22 years. She's thrilled with the picture quality and I'm glad that she's happy and that the entire transaction was so smooth.

Brought it to Engel, described the problem, and Adam (?) responded that it was probably the main board and that these modern sets dont have many separate componets in them. Gave me an estimate on verifiing the problem AND what a new main board would be. While thinking about having it repaired (the set has been a solid performer), he also said a new set to replace this one would not be that much more than fixing this one. Definitely did not feel any hard sell. Decided to have it fixed, he wrote it up, gave me estimated dates to get the part, and completion. On the estimated completion date, got a call from Adam, that the set was finished, tested and ready to be picked up. Went to pick it up, he demoed the set, I paid the bill (just what he estimated) and helped me load it in my car. Completely satisified.
Note: do not expect this establishment to be a polished, spotless place of business (that sends the units out to be repaired elsewhere). It is a combination small front counter and large active workbench. There are many, many units neatly either awaiting repair, being repaired, or awaiting pickup. Do not be turned off by the look.
