They came on a weekend and did a temporary fix (Thanks to you Randy) and needed to come back once the compressor defrosted to clear the lines and secure the drip pan in a more secure manner.
The technicians, were fun, informative, and professional.

I was always pleased with this company.  They were on time, neat, and in all the years we never had an issue with this company.  I recommend them for HVAC work and repair.

Avoid this company like the plague.  They require, before they will do any work, that you sign a form that absolves them of any responsibility for consequential damage that may result from their actions (other than to the equipment that they are servicing).  So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when they destroyed some sensitive electronic equipment when they were testing circuits.  They charged almost twice the list price for the part that they needed to replace.  They charged an additional $65 for shipping that part to them (the part was shipped domestically and weighed less than 1 lb).

I find that they tend to send out inexperienced technicians. My last encounter with them it was very hard for them to understand what the issue was. They weren't able to immidiately fix the problem and after several calls I used a different company altogether.

There technician come as per my service plan. This was for routine air conditioner service. I specifically asked why the condensing unit was ?on? despite my turning off the air conditioning. Together we looked at all the wall thermostats (both on the main floor and in the attic). He instructed me to make sure they were all set to ?off? on the left side and ?automatic? on the right side. Together we looked at each thermostat and set it accordingly. He assured me that the condensing unit would not go on. However, the condensing unit continued to be in operation. I call AMHAC and spoke with them. I explained that the technician showed me how to set the thermostats. I called and spoke with AMHAC and they scheduled another technician to come. I told the technician who came that the condenser unit kept going on. He looked at all the thermostats and then explained that, in the attic, the round thermostat did not control the AC; there was another box right next to it that did. He explained that we had to set this to 90 degrees and also turn off the corresponding air handler. I asked why the previous technician did not tell me this?he said that the previous technician may have been mistaken. I had to take another day off from work for this second visit and also continued to loose money paying for AC in my attic (while my windows were wide open) during the hottest weeks of the summer. On top of this?you were prepared to charge me for this second visit! I feel that the first technician made a mistake and I should not have had to take a second day off from work, loose more money in electric bills?and then be charged by AMHAC. They responded to my appeal saying that my call was a "nuisance" call and I would have to pay.

We used this company because the previous owners of our house used them. This year we paid for a maintenance contract and had the air conditioning serviced. We ended up paying an extra fee on top of the yearly service contract to have the system flushed. Three weeks after the service our air conditioner stopped cooling. I called the company and they sent a technician to evaluate. He found that our unit had no freon and found a leak in one of the valves. He refilled the freon and tightened the valve, but 2 days later the unit was not cooling again. I again called the company and they sent another tech who essentially did the same thing. When I tried speaking to him about the problem, he wouldn't answer my questions and told me I needed a $600-$800 test to figure out where the leak was. I contacted his supervisor who said he would speak to the technician and get back to me. He didn't call back, and after numerous messages he finally answered my call. I find out that the unit is 14 years old (which they knew since they did the installation and service) and the supervisor tells me the unit must have a big leak to be losing freon so rapidly. He recommended replacing the unit. He told me that he will send a salesman out to give me a quote, but so far no one has called to schedule that appointment. I am really upset about paying a bunch of money for a service contract and then getting charged a lot to do very little! I have my suspicions about the first technician being responsible for this leak, since our AC worked just fine last year when we didn't have it serviced. Even if he wasn't responsible for the damaging our system, I think he should have given me some more information about the condition of our AC unit and not done a lot of unnecessary work if we were going to have to replace it in the next year or so.

It was a great! The gentleman was very personable, and arrived on time. He did a fabulous job, cleaned up after himself, and the cost was very close to the estimate.

I have been pleased with them, except this time around I will be paying the same amount for them to do less work. They used to come around twice a year to check the heat and air conditioning, and now they will only come once for heat and once for air conditioning. There are A rated technicians and technicians I would give a C to.

My heat went off on a Friday afternoon, i had seen there truck around so i called them. They said i needed a hot furnace ignitor. He spent 2 hours walking around, back and forth to the truck...etc They then told me i needed a new furnace board which would cost me $300. i investigated online and the part normally runs for $170. They then wanted to charge me exorbitant amounts of money to try and ship this part. I said i would not like to have the worked completed until i receive estimates. The whole procedure was sketchy and i didn't feel comfortable having them doing the work.

Our system broke down in the summer of 2006 and AMHAC took almost 4 weeks to figure out what was wrong with it. They sent the same clueless technician back five or six times. I was always very polite when dealing with them but the service manager is very unprofessional. Finally they sent an experienced guy who diagnosed the problem. It could have/should have been fixed in a day or two. Very frustrating. So overall, I would never recommend them and I'm happy that the warranty is up so I don't have to deal with them any more.

Their rep came out and I spent over an hour with him. He was courteous and seemed reasonably knowledgeable, but he missed problems found by other vendors, and he never followed up with a quote. I called up and was told they had sent out the quote. Later I even called and spoke to one of the owners and still I never got a quote. Very disappointed. They wasted my time.

THEY WERE OK AND GET THE JOB DONE. SOMETIMES THE QUALITY IS GOOD, BUT IT DEPENDS ON TECHNICIANS. THEY ARE OK. IT DEPENDS ON WHO RESPONDS TO THE CALL.

THE TECHNICIANS SENT BY AMHAC WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. I WAS GIVEN A SERVICE WINDOW OF SEVERAL HOURS AND THEY PHONED PRIOR TO ARRIVING WHICH ENABLED ME TO AVOID SITTING AND WAITING FOR THE SERVICE CALL.
