2016-2020 Super Service Winners! Owner Duane Carr has worked in the HVAC industry since graduating from Thaddeus Stevens State College of Technology in 1997. Duane started Prime Heating and Air Conditioning to provide Syracuse and the CNY Region with a local, independently owned HVAC company that earns the trust of its customers by doing quality work at reasonable prices. With Duane's commitment to family and community, he's built his business to include his two brothers, Neal and Eric, to provide outstanding service and local community support.

For residential customers, Prime installs furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, control systems, duct work, water heaters, and more. On the commercial side, Prime Heating and Air Conditioning does new construction and retrofit jobs. In addition, Prime is also a 24/7 emergency service provider for both residential and commercial.

On July 1 I called him about my 2 family that has hot water baseboard heat. One of the bleeder valves on the 2nd floor had started leaking, and I knew the 1st floor boiler needed a new expansion tank. When I checked the basement I found the 1st floor boiler leaking and I was worried I needed a whole new boiler. Duane came out the next day to look at the boilers and see what parts he needed. He drained enough water out of the 2nd floor boiler so that the bleeder valve stopped leaking until he could fix it, and told me the leak in the 1st floor boiler was just the pressure relief valve. Duane came back with the needed parts on July 5th and performed the repair work on both boilers, and cleaned both boilers.
I'm sure the HVAC companies I've used in the past would have charged me at least $100 for a service call for the first visit to assess what was needed for the job and then at least twice what Prime Heating and Air charged.
I plan to use Prime Heating and Air for all my future HVAC needs.
