MONRO MUFFLER BRAKE & SVC

It was a different man on the desk who didn't seem very competent, he continually had troubles with name, computer, pricing, etc.. Later, Corey, I believe a manager, also helped. One of the things I didn't like was now, after they already had me signed up for the tires, I'm informed that I will really need an alignment because of putting on new tires. I'd alraedy been told I would NOT need one, and felt they were just trying to upsell me. The less competent man (I didn't get his name) said he'd check to see if I needed one after the tires were on. Meanwhile, I left, and they called saying the tires I had agreed upon, and which were supposedly ordered, were somehow not the right ones or something (it was very unclear) but they were "upgrading" me to a better tire for the same price. Not a name brand but supposedly better. At this point I could only take their word for it and agreed.
The were quick to get it done and I went to pick it up, within about an hour. The incompetent man didn't even recognize me - after an hour! Anyway, now we're talking about the final price and lo and behold, he'd gone ahead and done the alignment without my authorization but "reduced the price by $40" as if that made it ok. He then talked me into a road hazard coverage for the 4 tires. Every time he quoted a price it was as if that was the final price - and then at the end it would be infinitely different! He never included tax, so as to make it seem a better price. I called him on it and said from now on just give the actual, total, final price with everything included.
Now I go out to drive away, and immediately notice that my steering wheel is STILL crooked, which was one of the problems going in, and when I got on the highway up to 60 mph, the steering wheel was vibrating terribly. I was furious and went right back. They were very solicitous, had the technician drive it, etc. He swore the steering wheel was straight (it still is not) but allowed that perhaps a "weight" had fallen off inside the wheel making it vibrate. They immediately put it up on the rack and sure enough, this was the problem. Apparently the glue hadn't held or something rather flimsy. 
I finally got out of there - the employees were all nice and helpful, but I was completely unimpressed with the way the tires themselves were presented and sold to me, the way the prices were all over the place, the apparently shoddy work with the weight, and the fact that the steering wheel is still crooked. I would not likely recommend or go back to this place.

I like these guys a LOT. That said, I don't find their work to be wholly consistent...sometimes it's great, sometimes not so much. Overall I have been pleased with the service, but have had a few setbacks.
