When I called, I told them I thought the upstairs air conditioner was low on refrigerant. The serviceman looked the furnaces over, then went to the air conditioners (2 separate units for 2 apartments) and looked them over. They looked in good condition so he had the tenant (my son) go up and turn the 2nd floor unit on. The air conditioner was running but not working. The repairman said it was low on coolant. He had us check out the 1st floor's unit and found that was running properly. After filling the air conditioner with refrigerant, the serviceman told me there MAY be a leak and what they would charge to trace that down. And of course that didn't include the price to repair the leak--there was no way to estimate that. I thought that meant that there MAY or MAY NOT be a leak and that it could lose refrigerant for another reason. (Stupid me for not asking.) He itemized everything on the bill including the estimate to trace a leak and my refusal (for what I thought was only a possibility). It was obvious there was a leak when my son turned the air conditioner on the next hot day and it did not cool the apartment. We had a window unit and he used that instead because I just didn't have the extra money to fix it not to mention replace the once-again-missing refrigerant.
Fast forward a year later and it's now time to repair the air conditioner AGAIN. A family member suggested I look on Angie's List to see who got good ratings. I started reading through them. I found Murray's H&AC had a review dated about the same time with the same problem. I felt really ripped off when I read that they KNEW there had to be a leak and Murray's serviceman had explained that if they couldn't find the leak after putting in the refrigerant and running it that they charged such-and-such to trace it down and that they couldn't estimate the cost to repair it.
I called Falso and talked to the manager. I told him that I felt ripped off because the serviceman did not make it clear that there was definitely a leak. He said that there is ALWAYS a leak when the air conditioner needs refrigerant. I reiterated that the serviceman did not say that. He told me that he did because it was written on the bill. I explained that he never mentioned it until after he filled the refrigerant and he had used the word "MAY". I thought he should give me my money back. He refused to but said he'd give me a $75 credit on the next bill. I chose to hire Murray's H&AC instead...and am I ever glad I did! (Read my review.)
It turned out to be a problem with the wiring being crossed-- a problem the previous tenants (who rented both apartments) would not have noticed if they ran both air conditioners at the same time. The only reason the 1st floor's air conditioner worked is because the 2nd floor's air conditioner was "on". Had we turned on the 1st floor's air conditioner before trying to run the 2nd floor's air conditioner, it might have worked.
I now wonder if it was ever low on refrigerant. I truly feel ripped off.

The master plumber did not install hot water heater as customer requested and the sales rep. wrote. He was there to do a replace and that was it. I had expected that the gas line would have been relocated out of harm's way as was in the order. When the plumber was doing the work I asked if he would relocate the pipe and he said " It will go back in the same as it was installed"
I talk to the office manager and he said he would make it right but he needed his sales rep to tell him what material they needed.
the sales guy arrived an
d did nothing.

"We had a miscommunication in our office about re-routing the gas line for the customers water heater. It was supposed to be done when we replaced the water heater. I explained to the customer that when we sent the original salesperson back to look over the quality of the entire installation as we normally do, He would take a look at what needed to be done to correct the gas line for the water heater. There appeared to be a misunderstanding on what was discussed when the salesperson went back to look over the job. He thought the customer said he was ok with the gas line the way it was and there would be no more follow up. I just called the customer again and explained we are still willing to come out and change the gas line the way he wanted it originally for no charge and I apologized for the problem with communication. He stated he did not want us to come back to change the gas line. I told him if he changes his mind we will still be more than happy to come out and change the gas line at no charge."
**May use Service Experts again in an emergency or perhaps for routine matters but probably not for repair/replacement. A representative from Service Experts called the next day and quoted me a price of $600. + tax to replace the motor. I found another provider on Angies List who did it for $325.
sees33333a33sss 3s3aaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. Put pipes on outside of house so when wind blew the right way would blow fumes into house. Furnace installation started being installed on the 15th of October and the pipes were finished on the 21st of October. I would never have anything to do with Bob Ryan again. Be warned . Paul w allace is a peace maker and honest man to work with. Have all the respect in buying from him.
