With the 1st scheduled appointment, I was advised that the appointment would be approximately 09:00 -09:30 AM. At approximately 11:30, I called the office and was advised by Anette that she forgot to scheduled the appointment. I gave up an Overtime Oppurntunity to stay home for that appointment. My wife had to change her schedule so she could be home later day. A representative did come over and inform my wife that the Timer needed to be replaced on our sprinkler system.
I contact the Office and made an appointment with Anette for Friday-May 31, 2013, almost a week later, for 08:30 AM. Again it was my day off and I forfeited an oppurntunity to work Overtime so I could be home for the appointment. I received a phone call from Anette that morning advising me that the Tech had car trouble (FLAT TIRE) and would be a little delayed. I thanked her and changed my plans to stay home till he got there. After spending the entire morning waiting for the TECH, I contacted the office at 12:30PM and was told that Anette would call me back. I was thinking to myself, there is no way she could have burned me a second time. Anette called my back and advised me that the TECH who is the "NASSAU GUY" didn't come to work due to his FLAT TIRE CRISIS and she would try to have someone there by 04:30PM. 8 hours after the original appointment. I could have worked 8 hours Overtime and been home by 04:30PM, I could have seen my mother in the Hospital or actually get something accomplished at home without looking out my front window ever 5 minutes for DUANE the SPRINKLER TECH. I guess I should be happy that Anette called me at all. I informed Anette that my Son had a LAX Game at 04:30PM and would it be possible to get someone to my house by 03:30PM and I was told "NO". On both occassion I had to contact the office. My time was wasted and I truely feel that TENDER LAWN CARE did nothing to try to correct the problem. They lost my business."I would be more then glad to change the timer but this is not under warranty. This system was installed on April 5, 2005 and we give a 2 year warranty on all parts and labor. On May 17, 2007 the previous homeowner upgraded the system and the current timer was installed, again it came with a 2 year warranty. Member was not the home owner at that time. Member became out customer on October 22, 2010. I went there this year on May 3rd, 2011 with another mechanic and did his opening for this year. I was there for 2 ½ hours going over the entire system and programming his timer. I called my partner Ed to ask him a few questions about the timer to make sure everything was set properly and went over this with Member. He then called and said it was going off multiple times so we sent a mechanic back, at no charge, to go over it with him again. Member made him go thru the entire system again head by head which took almost another 2 hours. It was evident to the mechanic that somebody had tried to program the clock after we had originally been there. He then called again and wanted to have Ed come to look at it, but he had been out of work since April 7, 2011 with major back surgery, so we sent the other mechanic back again to check it & he would not let him look at it. He only wanted Ed. This is the so called low level employee who has been working with us for 12 years that he would not let look at it. I have been in business for 37 years and never have received any complaints like this and I am a member of the Better Business Bureau and have always satisfied my customers. If he would like us to charge the timer the cost will be $600.00 plus tax, and, if anything there will be an additional charge. If you would like to talk to me call me at 631-242-1933. Sincerely, Michael J. Prenderville"
