Franzoso Contracting

I was happy with them. They charged me about $25000, but I am not quite sure about it. It was probably a little more expensive than the average price, but they have a long guarantee or a warranty. They are fairly large and that?s why I went with them. They were great and punctual. In fact, they had to come back this summer because they hadn?t done the ventilation properly. So they came back and put in the soffit vents afterwards. I believe that is positive since the other guys would have charged me to do that.

They put a new roof on several years ago and we had a leak around the fire place through the roof, so we called and asked them to come and check their work. We did so after we had other contractors come out and they indicated that the ceiling wasn’t done correctly around the chimney flashing. They came and acknowledged that it wasn’t sealed correctly and did it and did not charge anything for that. They weren’t real happy to hear from me and were adequately professional.

They did an outstanding job. I have no complaints. I was totally satisfied. It is reassuring to know there is a large company who I can trust to do all kinds of work on my house. It is not easy finding someone so trustworthy who still takes pride in their work.

I called to arrange an estimate to have my roof replaced-the woman I spoke with asked many questions(age of house,roof...) and told me she would have someone get back to me to arrange an estimate I informed her that I was only available on Saturday...-I waited 3 days and called again- I spoke with the same woman who informed me that she had passed my information on to a repair person (she had listed my need as a repair not a new roof) even though she and I had had a long detailed conversation about my job during our previous conversation- she then stated that no one could give me an estimate on a Saturday for at least two weeks. Wow- if this is how I was treated as a potential customer I can only imagine how I would have been treated had I called with a problem or concern if I had hired them to do the job! Very disappointing.

Mark Franzoso is a stand up owner. There were a few difficulties in replacing my siding. Mark personally got involved when I was not satisfied. He fixed all issues and went beyond. I would recommend his company unequivically.

We needed to use Franzoso because of our home owners association. We could have used someone else for everything, but Franzoso needed to be involved due to the siding (I'm assuming there are warrantee issues). It worked out fine since they knew the type of windows that were allowable, etc. We used them twice -- once for the deck and a few windows, and then had them replace the others. They were professional, prompt and I would recommend them.

I met with Glenn to determine the best course of action on what I wanted. He offered good suggestions and I made a decision on the day we spoke. They asked for 1/3 down and that was fine with me. On the day of the work, the team arrived on time and were there all day. They were quite knowledgable, insured everything was done methodically, neatly, and exactly to specifications. I was quite happy with the overall experience.

My original roofer didn't put ridge caps on a section of my house that started from the ridge and had a low slope. When the winds during one of the winter storms picked up it turned out that the membrane roofing wasn't attached properly. When the wind would pick up the membrane roof would raise up from the wood underneath and a piece about 6 feet flapped above my house and then would fall down with a thump. Called Franzoso and told them what was going on. They scheduled the appointment quickly and charged a fair price to promptly replace the roof and flashing around the chimney. After that experience am keeping a very close eye on the roof but am glad that Franzoso is around to help me when things really get out of control.

I have done a few projects with Franzoso now and they did a great job on the roof install so I decided to have the gutters cleaned and some minor siding repair. The gutter cleaning was done OK the first time because some of the gutters appeared dirty so after I sent pictures to Jonathan the guys were out again and did a good job. The siding fixes also took a few tries to get right but I wasn't home when they did the work so didn't mind that they had to come a few times but in the end their work turned out very well. They are very responsive and a pleasure to work with as they don't argue with you or play blame games - they look and address the problem. This I admire.

On the windows, it went well. We used them mostly because they have a showroom where you can see the window you're buying and where you have a choice. Others wanted us to just let them choose the window. The windows were installed on time and this was a fine experience. Seven years ago this company had replaced our roof. It turns out they did not seal the flashing around the chimney properly at the time and I had a leak but unfortunately I didn't call them soon enough because I didn't realize it could be their responsibility. The leak just got worse and I now have an expensive repair. When the sales rep was here to talk windows I showed him the roof problem and he sent a couple of guys to fix the problem. It was sealed with silicon and seems, as far as I can tell without major downpours yet, to have solved the problem. I was not charged for this repair. So overall fair. Though best would have been had they offered to pay for the repair.

They were prompt, professional and very neat. They were very conscientious about keeping the area clean. The employees that came out behaved professionally. Very similar to the door company. I'd say it took about a day and a half.

Franzoso prepares a portfolio for you that tells you how to prepare for the work they are going to do, what to do while the project is in progress, and also how to maintain the highest quality of the product when they are finished. The workers showed up on time. They didn't make a disaster of the place.

They were great. They were timely, responded well, and they did the gutters. We didn't like it so they changed it for us. I would say that there pricing was competitive.

They were excellent. They didn't ask for any money up front and they did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

Very professional, but most importantly they completed the job correctly.

The workmen were very competent, they worked very efficiently and neatly. The cleanup was very good.

The project went well. The removal was messy but the crews did a good job cleaning the site and removing the dumpsters from the driveway when they were full. The new shingle work looks good and has been leak free. The flashings were all replaced and the gutters were installed well. So far no leaks or problems. The crews were professional and courteous.

Franzoso has also done my roof for me, windows, and renovated my kitchen. They have been excellent! The game room looks great! They did a wonderful job! They advertise as roofing and exteriors, but they also do indoor remodels as well. They do give you an estimate and they will not go over it. They will give you a quote based on all possible things that could go wrong so that there are no surprises.

These guys advertise everywhere and they really are top notch. I hired these guys because I had these tiny doors I wanted replaced and they were the only ones that could do the job. I shopped around and these guys were excellent. The site manger was so helpful; I could call him for anything.

Franzoso Contracting really did a great job on our house. Even though, they were late a few times and ordered a lower grade of product than we wanted, we were okay with that. They felt bad of course and in the end they did a fantastic job for us.

A neighbor had used this company. We inspected the work and then called them to give us an estimate. After some initial difficulty scheduling a time when both my wife and I are home, they called back with a much earlier appointment. Mike Babit showed us the samples and how they work, and inspected the house. The work was begun one month after our down payment. Someone named Gary, did the installation; I don't remember his last name. He came a week or so after we signed the contract to take detailed measurements. He called on a Friday evening and left a message that he could begin the following Monday. I would have appreciated more lead time, but he said he could delay the start by a few days if necessary. It turned out not to be necessary. His work caused very little disruption in the house. He left the work areas cleaner than they were before he started. We are very happy with the result.

Franzoso did an excellent job with a talented and careful, even painstaking, work crew. Understand the following minor criticisms in light of our overall great satisfaction. (1) I told the salesman of my concern that a previous homeowner's extra attic insulation might block attic soffit ventilation. He said workers would push it back if necessary. This was not done nor could it be done with the series of approximately 4-inch holes drilled in soffits. (2) Without asking me, workers buried vertical phone and cable TV wiring UNDER the siding; it "looked better", but if a neighbor's tree falls on the horizontal span of the wires from the street, there's a good chance the wires will rip off the house taking the siding with them. Franzoso was more expensive than other bids, and while I regret having to pay the higher price charged I am reasonably well satisfied that the extra money went into the careful time consuming job and was not simply extra "Westchester SOB" pricing!

We still have the same problem, we have no idea now if it is a problem with the installation, or the windows themselves. They were professional. They were clean and neat.

The work was done within one month of estimate. He was a very compenent and professional sales person and installer. Based on previous experience, I will use him again.
