Description of Work: Two techs came to my home, they were great. Very nice, knowledgeable, & they diagnosed problem. 1st tech changed out a part, (a capacitor to start the fan motor for the compressor) & my central air system seemed to be working. Next day, again, it wasn't. I Called back, & 2nd tech came out, told me I definitely needed a new fan motor. When I called to get an estimate of the cost, I was given a price by the service manager, I think, that turned out to be exorbitant compared to the price I was given by a different company I contacted whose name I got, who I'm going with, and who was VERY highly recommended by your organization.

Description of Work: Frank Jr. came over to my house on time and was very professional. He answered all of my questions and was helpful on the telephone afterwards. We did not go with this company because the price was extremely high (and for only 1 zone!) but he was a nice guy from what seemed to be a reputable company.

+ -1 moreOur heat has truly been working fine ever sine this company worked on our system. That tells me they knew what they were doing. We were very content with them. They seemed to be good guys. They accomplished the end goal of getting our system in line, so we were happy.
Description of Work: The heating system in our rather large two story house essentially died. This company came in and replaced some parts. They diagnosed what the problem was and completely rectified it.

Description of Work: My gas heat boiler was not working due to a burned out wire. This was due to a a leak in the coil. They fixed the electric and walked away. Two weeks later when the leak became really bad the furnace stopped working. At this time after repeated request to come and fix this, Taconic denied to take the project.

+ -1 moreWe'd never worked with Taconic before, yet during the heat wave of Aug. 2006, they added our name to the list of a worker already in our town. Sammy arrived within 2 hours. He knew his stuff and quickly had the system up and running. (He even told me the Egyptians were the first people to have AC. A repair and a lesson in AC-- who could ask for more?) The office staff were kind, organized, helpful, and down-to-earth. We will work with them again.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased. Despite the fact that I am not a regular customer, they were very accommodating and sent a technician to my house within a couple of hours of my call. He got to the heart of the matter right away and my heat has been working fine every since.
Description of Work: I have two-zone heat and during the coldest part of January 2006, I suddenly had no heat upstairs in my home. Taconic tested the system and made changes to it to get everything working again.

+ -1 moreTHEY ARE GENERALLY PRETTY GOOD. THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE, BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD. THE PEOPLE WERE FINE. THEY WERE VERY NICE. THEY WOULD DO WHATEVER YOU ASKED.

Description of Work: FIXED A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF OUR A/C UNITS WHEN IT BROKE DOWN. ADDED FREON TO THE UNIT.
