I called The UPS Store since Vistaprint has pulled back on their freebie and lower cost items. I needed these bookmarks tomorrow, so I knew that wouldn't happen with an online company without me going into bankruptcy.
I'm an author. I was doing a book signing and really wanted to have a little swag on the table. When I called the UPS store, I spoke with Janice. I told her what I was looking for, and she asked if I could send her a picture of what I wanted on the bookmark, and any line of text. So I did. Within 20 minutes she emailed me back with a proof of the bookmark, which was stunning.
I called back with verbal approval on the order and told her to go ahead with it. She asked me how many I wanted. Trying to keep in a starving author's marketing budget, I said 50. She let me know that 50 would be ~$30 but 100 would be ~$35. (This being due to the fact that three bookmarks printed on one sheet of card stock.)
I told her to go for it, 100 it was. I asked her when it would be ready, and she said by 3:00pm. I suffer from seizures so at about 2:00pm I called and asked if we could get them earlier since I wasn't feeling well. Janice told me to come right on over and they were ready and BEAUTIFUL. I will definitely go to The UPS Store for more of my marketing needs.
