He was fantastic. I wanted white carpet, Home Depot had the color I wanted and it was one of the least expensive and the quality was nice. It wound up inexpensive.
Description of Work: Home Depot. I used a handyman for carpet installation. The guy who came to measure he worked for Home Depot and the carpet installers also came in, two guys and they did it in a few hours, but it was like two flights of stairs and three rooms plus a huge landing. It was the standard looks like smooth thick carpet, it hasn't got a pattern in it, a plain plush carpet.

Went shopping for a new front door for our house and storm door. After much shopping finally found a nice door at Home Depot. They gave me an estimate for the door and for installation. We ordered the door and they said we would get a call from the installer to measure. He called and came for an appointment. it was not a convienent time. I found out later that he was a postman doing installations on the side. I was extremely disappointed since the salesman at home depot said it was a Home Depot employee that would perform the isntallation. I was quoted in advance a price for both the doors and the installation. I gave them the sizes in advance and they said it was a standard install. I install other home items for a living so I know my measurements were good. The installer came to measure. He said he was a postman doing side jobs and the installation would be no problem. I was worried but promised he would do a good job. We went back to the store to pay for the door and installation and we were told that there were additional charges. The up charges were completely bogus. We had a written sales order with the price they said they would not honor! I was shocked. I asked to speak to the manager and complained. He said the Home Depot person that took the order never should have quoted us the price until the measurement was done. i said that was not right because I never would have ordered the door unless I knew what the price would be. I told the manager to give me the regional manager's telephone number. He would not do it. They gave me the corporate telephone line that basically just sends you to an automated system and gets you nowhere. The costs they tried to upcharge were all on the isntallation. They tried to raise it from over $200.00 dollars. We cancelled the order. The manager didn't seem to care. I than told him to cancel the home appointment we had made for the following day to order new windows and new vinyl siding for our house that would have totaled over $30,000.00. His jaw seem to drop a bit. They lied and it cost them. They tried to nail me for $200.00 and they lost out on a $30.000.00 job. I will no doubt go someplace else and get it done for a bit more but it would rather pay $200 more to an honest company with a professional installer rather than a postman.
Description of Work: New front door for our house and also a storm door to go with it.
