We recently hired Bernard to remodel our den. We have hired many different contractors over the years and this was the best experience we have had. Pricing was reasonable, the workers showed up on time (or early) and were always polite and mindful. The job was finished ahead of schedule - a first for us! In addition to the work we initially intended to do, Bernard pointed out a structural repair that we had not noticed was needed, and even that work was performed quickly and at a reasonable price. The transformation of our den was dramatic enough that it has generated unsolicited praise from friends and family who have visited since. We would definitely recommend Bernard and crew for any work required.

I am extremely happy with the service and quality of work from Bernard and his team at Tool Time Home Improvements. In December 2016, we found that the previous homeowners had hidden extensive termite damage along the back of our home. I had numerous contractors evaluate the damage. Most were not able to provide an estimate and did not instill confidence about how they could fix it. Bernard was completely different. He immediately began identifying the actions that would be required in order to restore structural integrity. He was able to provide a written estimate before leaving. The amount of work was extensive. The house was jacked in sections from the basement in order to replace the entire back wall sill plate. New beams were added and sistered to existing beams. In order to do this, my paver patio was removed along the back wall. Inside the house, the tile floor was removed and areas of the subfloor were replaced. The wall and windows of my kitchen dining area were completely reframed. Electrical and plumbing work was required during the repair. Two bathrooms had to be partially dismantled and restored. New sliders and a new back door were installed. A new engineered vinyl plank floor was installed in place of the old tile floor. Intricate molding was replaced. New baseboard covers were added. All of the sheetrock cracks from the termite damage and jacking were repaired. Throughout the process, Bernard and his crew were professional and courteous. They addressed any of the concerns that I raised. They showed pride in the quality of their work. Bernard had initially believed the job would take 3 weeks. Despite finding additional damage that was not known until the project progressed, the team still finished on schedule. Bernard even had a cleaning crew come in on the final day to clean all of the dust that was generated from removing the tile floor. I would highly recommend Tool Time Home Improvements and plan to use them again myself for future projects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 02/09/2018 This was the second time I used Tool Time Home Improvements, and the experience was outstanding both times. Bernard immediately returned my call, evaluated the project the same day, and had a great crew on site the following week ahead of the initial schedule. The quality of work was exceptional. After 8 months after the remodel we have certain grout cracks in the bathroom which I'm not happy about

Our plaster ceilings were a disaster! Bernard's crew did beautiful work on the plaster ceilings in our 1931 home. Every time I look at the ceilings, I marvel at their skill and patience in doing such a big job. Thank you, Bernard and Crew! Excellent work. I'd recommend you to others.

The construction was well done by Julio and Sebastian and team. The owner, Bernard, spent limited time on the job. The finished product is a different story. From the beginning, we told Bernard, we wanted a Semi-Transparent stain since we were replacing all decking and wanted to see the grains in the wood. He wanted to put on a solid stain. He did not follow the directions on the stain cans and failed to pre-sand the deck as well as stained in over 90 degree heat. They brought the rep from Sherwin Williams when we complained, she conquered, they did not stain correctly. He attempted to correct the problem. They did not finish the job correctly, leaving unstained areas and dirt stains all over the deck. When I brought the issues to his son, I was dismissed and the crew left without completing the job correctly. Bernard refused to address the fact that part of the deck was not re-stained. After 2 weeks from the time they left, we are getting the wood bleeding through the stain, I was told at the paint store this because the wood was not allowed to breathe before staining. Bernard got nasty when I told him, he would not get extra money, he was paid the amount on the estimate. Bernard did not even return to see the finished product, nor does he care. Bernard's only concern is how many stars will I get on the review. Would not use him again.

The Crew that did the work were great! They showed up on time and worked through some of the HOTTEST days we've had this summer. They repaired the wood rot issues at both locations and cleaned up every splinter and nail!

I hired them to do a job on my front walk way. When completed they left concrete stains and mortar stains on the work area. They did clean up in the garden area but when I contacted them about the concrete stains, I was told for $150-200 they would come back and pressure wash the area. Over all it was sloppy workmanship.

The best part was that they offer financing or else we would not have done our renovations. Bernard was a pro the whole time always answer my phone calls. Great work and customer service

Recently used Tool Time to update and expand our half bathroom into a full bathroom. Bernard (the owner) and his team were extremely professional, prompt and very considerate to our needs (especially having two young children running around.) The quality of their work was top notch. They had to pretty much demo the existing bathroom, break tiles, frame an extension for a shower, seal an existing door, redo the pipes, install the shower/sink/toilet, full tile work and paint. They finished the job in about 8 days starting around 7:30am and working usually past 6pm. Price was very competitive and Bernard was very flexible on payment. All in all, was such a great experience going to start our next project (driveway and portico) with them within the next couple weeks!
