We really can’t praise Matt Sussman at Liberty Moving for the two teams he sent us. Alex and his packers were excellent! So thoughtful and meticulous and everything is perfectly labeled. They were not fazed by heavy furniture or large animal heads or rain. Franklin and his movers were breathtaking, honestly. Orlando, in particular, amazed us when he suggested moving the piano to a different location, which also involved re-moving 100 book boxes he had already moved. And he made the space so much better. We both think he should be an interior designer in his next career. From start to finish, we were surrounded by professionals with so many skills and unfailing good humor, which made the day, well, both days, so much better. Moving is hellish, but the people at liberty are Heaven-sent.

I moved with this moving companies many times, they were the best mover near me and after doing research I found out they are the best mover in the northeast. I moved long distance from Jericho NY to Jupiter Florida. They packed all my breakables, Very pleased.

0 friends 17 reviews 1.0 star rating 2/15/2017 They told me I needed 4 guys for the job, when 3 were needed (even according to the crew that day). They later said the 4th person reduced the man hours needed, however the 4th person identified himself as the "driver only" and did very little to help the other 3. He supervised, put some boxes together, and hung out. I'm not sure why I had to pay to have a driver/supervisor on the job. Also, Gary was such a good salesman (liar) that made all kinds of promises but failed to deliver. He knew I had another mom and pop company who would do the move with 3 people in the same hours for less money per hour. But his nonsense sales pitch of how I should spend the extra money having a real professional company was nonsense. He told us how great Liberty was, the best in the business, and was an honest, fair company. Yeah, they baited and switched on me and really let me down. To rectify they refunded one hour of labor that they charged me extra for after the move because 2 of the 4 workers (the 3rd worker was lazy and very inexperienced) did not pull their weight. Liberty (in writing) even told me the crew who "won the job that day" was known to be slow, so they overcharged me because they are known to be the slow crew and refunded me for something I should not have paid for anyway. No refund for the 4th worker who didn't do anything and the 3rd worker who was inexperienced and slow. I am so disappointed with Liberty. Oh yeah, we were told we were VIP because Douglas Elliman referred them an would get priority treatment and the best crew. More lies by Gary and Liberty! Lol, I can't believe I fell for their "we are so customer focused and treat Douglas Elliman customers like gold" routine, only to get ripped off and very upset on moving day.

Ed was the head of the crew and he was excellent. Jose and Louis were absolutely excellent as well. They were very careful, there were no damages, they were prompt, and efficient.

This Company contracted with us to pack our belongings here on Long Island and unpack them in S. Carolina. Although they showed up on time and the three men who packed the truck did well, they came without enough room on the truck to fit everything that was contracted. They didn't give us any options and off they went. They arrived in S.Carolina on time but with same driver and new crew to unload. The crew there threw boxes up the stairs and broke valuable pieces. We watched a video before signing with them about their professionalism and how they would put runners down on carpets as to not dirty anything. also blankets were to be put on stair railings and that wasn't done. We contacted the company and they told us we should have called for another truck on moving day but how were we to know that when the ny crew didn't tell us that. They just wanted their tips and out they went. We have now contacted them 5 times and still they haven't rectified the situation. We get 'we will have to speak with our manager".. The manager never calls. They said we should expect paperwork in the mail about the broken items and it is now a month and nothing. Knowing that we returned to Long Island They sent a check for a refund of the weight contracted verse what the actual weight was. That check was sent to Myrtle Beach!!! And upon our last conversation 2 weeks ago, they offered us a 200 dollar rebate and told us they would move the rest of our belongings for an additional 1700 dollars. Those items were under the first contract. Trying to suck us in once again I think not. Must be a game for them to overcharge or RIP unwitting folks off. I would never recommend this company to anyone and rest assured I will be calling The Better Business Bureau. That original salesman is a liar. They didn't do what he said they would provide. What a Joke they are. And also the JOKE is on us. Beware and never use this company. Also I will post on any social media I can about this terrible company!!! here is an update for you all. After seeing my negative review this company had the nerve to contact me and tell me they are still waiting for a manager to contact me.what a joke!!!! a message to you united/liberty van lines, I am contacting the BBB and see how you like that! Moving 33 years of accumulated furniture and other "stuff" is a difficult, and an anxiety ridden event. The staff of Liberty, from start to finish, made it a much easier, and an almost pleasant experience. Stephen Talenti, the estimator, and Tom Pendleton, the move coordinator were always available and answered our questions, and addressed our concerns in a timely manner. The moving crew, headed by Nestor, did an outstanding job of moving our belongings under difficult circumstances. Both our old home in Chappaqua, and our new home in Bethel had snow and ice covering much of the area surrounding the houses. The crew had to shovel snow, or chop ice, to provide safe passage to and from the moving van. They did this with no hesitation and in good spirits. The men were courteous, friendly and obviously very capable as they effected the move with absolutely no damage. Although the shoveling and ice removal added time to the move I was not charged for this time, and the price I was quoted by Stephen was the price I paid. It was a sincere pleasure to deal with such an honorable organization, and I would recommend them without hesitation, or qualification.

We were extremely pleased with Liberty/United Van Lines from start to finish. Gary, the consultant came to our home and gave us a thorough presentation of the company and gave us brochures along with a checklist to help us with the moving procedure which was very helpful. Gary then took his time to go over each room to give us an accurate quote. On our moving date, the driver Nick and crew arrived early and the first thing they did was to pad the oak railings on the stairs and covered the carpeting. They were very careful and all went very well. Gary and the crew were all very courteous and worked professionally. The delivery in Florida also went extremely well. We would highly recommend Liberty/United Van Lines. They are very reputable and everyone in the company worked courteously and professionally to make sure that our move went smoothly.

The first quoted me $7,913.68 then once moved charged $12.209.69. They dont know how to quote their prices properly. They also damaged my property like my sleep number bed and a grandfather clock. I put in a claim and never heard back from them.

n.No breakage. Very prompt, speedy, considerate, and friendly service. They arrived at my house in NY at 9:00 am on August 25 and finished packing and loading the truck by 2:00 pm. They delivered everything on September 4 which gave an opportunity to drive from NY to Texas without rushing. The workers were very respectful, attentive, and worked hard. The driver and the coordinator were magnificent. The original plan was to take two days to pack and load, but it ended up only taking one day. Also, nothing was broken upon arrival. Everything went great.

Couldn't have had a better moving experience. First, Jason in sales was extremely helpful in answering my initial questions and setting me up with Garry Ferrero, the estimator. Garry arrived at the estimate appointment on time and was professional and courteous. We went through the house and was able to give me a quote for a furniture only move and a total move (with all the boxes). Near the end of the quote I had a family emergency to attend to and Gar was very understanding and saved all the data. Later that day, I contacted Gary show great compassion and asked how everything was. We were able to complete the quote over the phone and scheduled the move. The day of the move - David and his crew showed up on time and meticulously packed our belongs in a quick and efficient manner. One senior member of the crew, Jovanny, really stood out as he took care to check in with me to see how everything was going all the while packing some of the large pieces of furniture was had. Upon arriving at the storage unit (10X30) - which already had items packed in it - the men had to arrange a whole bunch of things in order for all my furniture to fit. They did the job in about 5 hours which is unbelievable. I cannot say I had one negative aspect of this move and I have moved (both big and small) about 10 times in the past 15 years. I highly recommend Liberty Movers - they work hard, care, and are extremely professional.

They arrived early, were thoroughly organized, careful packing and moving the equipment. All the guys were pleasant and did their work proficiently. The company handled all the office building paperwork at both locations, which in New York City is no small task. I would absolutely recommend them!
