ALCAMO POOLS

Alcamo built our pool 20 years ago. They came for an estimate exactly as promised, and the man who built the pool recognized us. Four men plus one of the owners did the repair today. They needed to remove the bluestone, put in new hosing and replace the bluestone. The men were courteous and EXTREMELY neat and clean to the point of scrubbing every stone on their hands and knees. They resurfaced the spa in a few minutes (Gappsi said it would cost $6000 to do this work). When they left, the pool was running better than it has in years. We are going to use Alcamo for all of our pool servicing from now on. They are real craftsmen.

Once they get your money, they don't care what you think. So unless you are a relative, think twice - or perhaps three times -- before you use this firm. If you are going to contract, have your lawyer look over the arrangement and put funds in escrow until they perform.

The customer service department is horrific. There is a huge lack of communication with them and they flat out lied to me. On their web site, it says that they do not use any sub-contractors. They had sub-contractors doing the sand blasting and the marble dusting. The marble dusting looked terrible and there were foot prints all over it. It took me three months just to get them to come out again and evaluate the situation.
