Excellent. The plumber arrived on time. Suggested one item wait as it was a lot expense for nothing, and suggested the heating people check the furnace before starting. It was a good call as a valve needed replacement. Mohawk Heating did an excellent job fixing the furnace. Also found on angieslist.

Had a toilet that was going down slow while the washer was also draining and it didn't seem to be a clog.  We had the septic pumped out 6 months prior after not having pumped it for a decade. The plumber came out after I was given a few things to do to try and narrow down the issue before dispatching the plumber.  Well "some" water was going out to the septic, I could hear it so the toilet was removed after snaking it and a new donut seal was installed, new toilet inlet line installed and the flange was reattached to the floor by drilling some new screw holes, ALL required but the problem turned out to be the septic was not clearing fast enough possibly due to issues at the out going pipe, junction box or leach field. The plumber spent a few hours and apologized for not better diagnosing the issue initially and only charged me for the toilet work which was needed anyway, very professional and I think I contributed to him not figuring out the issue sooner.  He did remove the inspection plug to verify the pipe to the septic tank 20 ft away was clear and then I had to call a septic service to diagnose the real problem and continue with the repair.  I even got a follow up call from Rooter-Man, all very much appreciated so their magnet is on our refrigerator now for clogs and internal plumbing issues.

A troublesome reinstallation required three tries before the toilet was fully re-seated on the wax seal.  All work was done in a professional manner with any water and debris cleaned before he left my home.  They did a very good job.

While I didn't have a lot of current experience about prices for this kind of work, my first reaction was the repair was more costly than it should have been.  But on reflection, I had a plumber who showed up early in the morning of the day after I called, he had the proper tools and he knew where to find the replacement part.  He was also very personable, and provided me with some education.  So all in all I was very satisfied, and would call him again.

The service people fixed both quickly and effectively.  I gave them a B for quality because they beat up the nickel finish on part of our kitchen faucet.  My husband could have fixed the faucet but we went with a professional because he was afraid he would do exactly what these guys did because the piece was hard to remove.  What was even more upsetting was that the service guys did not point out the damage to us.  We noticed it later.  I gave them A's in the other categories because they were great in setting up the call and following up on it.  When they did follow up on it, I told them about the problem with the sink.  The owner called back several times that day to find out what happened and then to offer to fix it.  He was very apologetic.  He offered to order a new piece and have it replaced, free of charge.  Assuming they do so (and I think they will), I feel happy overall with the job.

I called them and got a same-day response--I was concerned about a possible leak because of dampness in my basement wall near where the sewer pipes run.  He ran a camera down the outflow pipe and found no cracks, but spotted some roots and removed them as far as possible.   He put a lot of effort into figuring out various odd places in the old pipes and explained their condition to me, as well as making some suggestions about possible other causes of the dampness.   It turned out the pipes were not my problem, so there wasn't any major work to do, but I would certainly have them come again for any plumbing situations.  Very professional.

This is my 2nd time using Rooter-man in less than 6 weeks.
From earlier sewer services(over the last 30years), a clean out pipe was installed in the back yard. Roots had always been a problem in the past. Since one of the neighbor's trees had been removed, the root problem had disappeared. One of the tenant's children or relatives had removed the covering from the access point and filled it with dirt, sticks, stones and rocks.  I called Rooter-man again (based on my previous dealing with them) Paul and Marty came out to 'scope' out the work. The children not only filled the access pipe but upon camera display, clogged up the main sewer. Arrangements were made  to bring in a backhoe to dig out the area and do what was necessary to fix the problem. They cut the access pipe at the junction of the main line and cleared out all the foreign matter from the line. A new access pipe was fitted in and a more  secure cap was put on. Marty put it into perspective. This event was just the results of kids play (all the children associated with the apartment house are under 8). With the new cover fitting if it happens again call 911 cause now it is vandalism.

As i mentioned, this is the 2nd time I have used Rooter-man in 6 weeks. In both cases I spent more than I had originally planned. However I feel I received EXCELLENT value for the services provided. I was given an estimate of the costs so there were no surprises. My only surprise was that given the disasters, it did not cost more.

I do not look for the cheapest price when finding a service provider. I look for the best price.  Rooter-man has given me the best price with complete satisfaction. I really cannot say enough about Tim, Marty and Paul.  Let me not forget  Tammy, who answers the phone and coordinates the requests.

As a side note: This is how that garden trowel made its way into my sewer system. It took upwards of two years for the trowel to cause the completer blockage as noted in my previous report.

I noticed a small leak a drain pipe in the basement of my apt house.. I thought it was going to be a simple task, so I went home to get my tools. As I thought about it, it was too simple. I had numerous easy access points to clear the drain. So remembering  Murphy's Law and it being a Saturday, I checked out Angie's List and called Rooter-man (based on his reviews).  They sent Tim. Tim arrived in less than 90 minutes.Tim took a quick look an showed me a small crack in the pvc drain pipe.  However, there was no clog or water when he arrived. He said, "something made the water back up this far, but it's gone now."  Well something does not come close. In years past I have had roots removed from the sewer line and expected more of the same. He brought out his cleaning snake and went to work. About 20 feet in there was a massive clog. He had to run the snake down a dozen times to get it all. Out came a few roots, but the majority was non bio-degradable paper products. These item would have been flushed completely to the city sewer line. He kept 'hitting' something 30 feet in that was stopping him from further snaking. He sent down a camera to look. Something metallic appeared on the screen. After another few snake attempts, the claw hooked on something. It was a GARDEN TROWEL.  Only in my sewer would you find a Garden Trowel.  We had to photograph it.  After that was removed. all went well. The trowel was the real problem in preventing a clean flow to the city sewer. A 2hr task went almost 6 hours (in 95 degree heat). Tim was truly great. You could see the frustration of snaking and resnaking in the heat, but he was not going to let the drain beat him.  I am so glad I called for a professional immediately. I would have spent time and money fixing a small leak only to be surprised by the bigger problem later.

I discovered our 1st floor toilet overflowing while our washer was draining.  Plunging did nothing.  I got online and looked for a plumber-drain cleaner and went with Rooter Man who was A rated.  I called and spoke to Tammi who told me she would call the technician she wanted to send to us and would get back to me ASAP with a time he could arrive.  She called within 15 minutes and said he would be here in 40 minutes.  He was here within the 40 minutes. He asked a few questions then went to our main sewer line clean out pipes and came up with a plan to snake  back into the house from the main sewer access because it seemed like the clog was within an elbow adjacent to the sewer access area.  It worked!  The clog was released and my whole house drained into the sewer line.  The tecnician put a camera into the line to see if he could figure out why it clogged in the elbow and he said it was not apparent.  He then methodically checked every drain and toilet and bathtub to make sure none were blocked.  After 40 minutes of work he stated all was cleared and he was confident the clog was gone.
The technician is a genius he figured out how to clear the clog with a minimum of spillage of sewer water!  I am very pleased with the attention to detail, pleasant interaciton with Tammi the receptionist and our service technician.  I will not call anyone else in the future!

They were very helpful. They came and tried to snake it.  But I have had some specific problems there. They were really nice and checked it a number of times.  The workers were pleasant and very professional. They did their work.  He came back twice wanting to fix it really trying to find what was wrong. They were very good. I would recommend them.  They are worth what they charge. I would use them in the future.

They were prompt about when they said they would come. They did what we asked them to do. There was a little bit of an issue which was not necessarily their problem but he fixed it. They did a good job in resolving the issue.

The worst thing could have happened to us when it comes to plumbing and an old house - and on a holiday weekend too.  I found their name on Angies List and Paul answered my call immediately.  I called them on Saturday (the day before Easter) and the guys came out the same day and worked until they could get us up and running.  Then came back on Monday to finish the job...that took another 6 hours.  We had a mess but were really happy, considering the cirucumstances, to have found a company that could handle the challenge.  The guys, Tim & Marty, found all the problem pipes, the results of the cold frozen weather.  We really appreciated the quick response and the ability to recognized all the isses involved.

My husband was in the basement looking for Christmas decorations and I was upstairs washing clothes. He yelled to me to turn off the washer that there was a leak. He tried to snake the pipe and thought he had taken care of it but it continued to leak. I went on Angie's List and I also remembered that our neighbor had contacted Rooter-Man. Our neighbor's were very happy with them and how professional they were and there price was excellent. When I called I spoke to the receptionist who was such a big help. She got me the information I needed and had scheduled an appointment for 9:00am the next day. The whole team was above and beyond what we expected. Thank you Angie's List Andrea & Anthony F

We were very pleased with Rooter Man's service. We had a very significant leak in our shower and were not sure where the water was coming from. Their plumber came and was able to quickly identify the problem--one of the plates on the shower wall needed to be sealed. We haven't had any leaking since and it?s been a couple of months now. What's better is that Rooter Man only charged us for one hour of labor and no other fees to show up, etc. And they didn't push to sell us any other hardware or services. Their plumber was professional, pleasant, and easy to do business with.
