Roof and gutters look great. I have nothing but praise and plaudits for Glaison, Thais and crew! Gleison is personable, polite and responsive. So is his wife Thais, and his crew. Having some experience in construction, I asked many questions and received detailed written replies, all to my satisfaction. While it took a bit longer than I thought it might to complete the project, I valued slow and steady over speedy and shoddy (my neighbor's roof was done by another contractor in one day - 14 men tripping all over each other!) A condition that could not be known until the gutters were removed (fascia improperly installed by previous roofer rotting behind gutters) required a mid-stream adjustment to the contract price; I could have been held up for a large amount, but once the issue was discovered and explained, it was fairly and promptly resolved. One other thing, Pollon was not the lowest bidder by a few hundred dollars. But, when I interviewed the lowest bidder (who also had rave reviews) I was turned off by the fact that he disparaged competitors in the area. I didn't appreciate that, nor did I like it as a way of doing business.. I would rather pay the extra dollars to a contractor who stood on his own merits rather than one who disparages others to gain a contract.

Reputation is everything when it comes to a major project like replacing a roof. Unlike a paint job, it's hard to tell if someone did a good roofing job or not. Polom Contracting had a few strong reviews and I reached out to them first. Gleison came to my house, gave me a very fair estimate and explained the process in a nutshell. Once the permit was approved, his team came on site within a few days and got to work. He was on site every day. There was a small hiccup with the cleanup process at the end but Gleison came and addressed it right away. Overall, the job was very well executed and I can give this business a strong recommendation.

Gleison came to give me an estimate. He said the work would take about 2 days. After I hired him, his team came and left after about 5 hours including time they were idle for lunch. I called that evening and asked when they will return. He said they were done. I surveyed the work and I doubt he did half of what was required. When I questioned the work, he started cussing and swearing at me. I would not recommend him.

As a general rule, we try to not use only the lowest cost providers (one gets what they pay for, right?) . As such, we hired Pollon even though their price was slightly higher BUT it was because Gleison (owner) was such a professional and educated us on the right way to do the job (roofing). Once we hired them, they started on time, cleaned up everyday and finished within budget and the results were stellar. Further, their office staff was very responsive and everyone with whom we worked at Pollon (a woman names Thais) was responsive and displayed great integrity. In fact, we also asked them to do an additional project as we were so pleased with the experience. For jobs/projects that are within their scope of services, we will only use Pollon going forward.

I had a leak onto the ceiling of one of my bathrooms and Pollon came out right away to take a look. They took a look around and were able to determine that it wasn't a roof issue but a pvc pipe in the attic that was leaking. Though they didn't repair the PVC themselves (because it's outside of their scope of work) I'm greatful for them coming out, determining it's not a roofing problem, and being able to identify the problem for me. I'm very satisfied with their services.

Pollen Contracting went well above our expectations. The work done was excellent and the crew was talented, friendly and professional.
