Update as of 1/17/13: The contacted me within 18 hours of posting the review and were very concerned about the difficulties that I ran into. They also made an honest promise and I am confident they will address the issue. Based on their call and earnest comments, I have upgraded them for their responsiveness and professionalism.
I found someone to clean my gutters for $60.

They also gave us an estimate for replacing our roof boot vents which we thought was ok. But then we had another contractor come in and he replaced them for a quarter of the estimate.
They also never called to follow up on the estimate. They sent a letter instead.
My husband and I own our own business. When we send out an estimate, we always follow up with a phone call and ask if there are any questions.
I do not recommend this company. If you decide to use them, I strongly advise that you get another estimate from another contractor so that you can compare prices.

I had taken some time off from work for the birth of my new son, so I want to apologize for the delay in posting a response to this review on our company. First of all I want to say that I apologize that you didn’t have a good experience with our company. I looked into your account to see what we could have done differently that would have made you happy. That is our number one goal here, to not just make every customers experience with us a good one, but to make it a GREAT one. The proposal for the new chase cap and vent stack pipe boots was done on February 2, 2012. A follow up letter was mailed to you on February 3rd and after verifying with our phone records I see that a follow up phone call was placed to you on 2-8-12. (Your review was posted on 2-7-12) I don’t know where we could have done a better job with our follow ups to you. I am always open to new ideas and feedback from our customers on how we can better serve you. Please contact me at our office, 914-837-0411, with any suggestions you may have In regards to the pricing: There are several different types of chase caps that can be installed (Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Stainless Steel, etc.) of these there are different ways to install them. Differences like soldering the nails that hold it into the home, installing a base support or just a cross beam, soldering on collars to block wind driven rain, and so on. The price you were given was for the top of the line chase cap so it doesn’t surprise me that you were able to find a cheaper price. Also that particular chase cap has a lifetime warranty for labor and materials. If we were given a chance to discuss the difference between our work and the other contractors work, we could have pointed out the differences and helped you to understand what we call “The Honey-Do Difference”. What a bummer. We always prefer to give a local company a shot, and even after a couple of negative reviews here we gave them a shot. We had a couple of holes and damaged gutters after the October 30th storm. They came out 2 days later and looked. The guy was supposed to be there by 1, he showed up at 4. Told my husband we'd get an estimate in the mail asap. 2 weeks later, nothing there so we called. He said he sent it to the wrong address but would send it out again and also email it. Still nothing. 4 more calls by my husband, then I took over. After talking to the office, I was promised an immediate call back as they were "so upset about this occurance". Still nothing. Went away, came home, called again 3 days ago, and was promised an immediate call back - nothing. Now we have substantial water damage from the holes being left unfixed.
Too bad, we just bought an old house right in their town, they could have had a customer for life. Now I will never use them.
"To be honest, yup, we blew it. We dropped the ball on this one. We had two names and two addresses for the customer and being a company that works strictly with paper files and not digital files, the ball was dropped because we couldn’t find the customers files. For the year 2012, we are fixing the problem to make sure it doesn’t happen again. We have installed a new computer program that will make it easier for us to track customer’s information, work, and all follow ups. We are sorry the negative experience you had with us, but because of your experience, we have taken steps to ensure that no one else goes through the same situation. Just to update, they responded and fixed the problem. I would use them again.
The Honey-Do gutter gentleman showed up to my home on time and was very professional and thorough. I wanted to wait until his work was completed before posting here on Angie's List, but saw the previous poster's comments and realized that it must have been MY appointment that delayed his. My gutters required so much repair work that I requested a written proposal from him for a total replacement while he was there and feel badly now about getting this guy in "hot water" with another prospective client.
UPDATE: Work has been completed as promised and I would recommend the Honey Do Men to anyone with gutter problems.

"Dear Member, We were surprised to see that you gave us an “F” rating. Upon reading your review, we then reviewed your file and we did note that the estimator was out to see you on the 17th as stated. It was also noted that you were sent not only 1, but 2 detailed proposals. The first proposal was for the requested roof installation. The second was for a new gutter installation, as requested. Each proposal is very detailed, starting from removal and disposal of existing roof and gutters and is followed through a detailed material list to the final cleanup and warranty. The proposals were emailed to you at your Gmail account, as per your request, on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at exactly 3:48. Is there a possibility that the email went to your spam folder, or perhaps you overlooked it? I can provide you with any documentation needed to show you that the email was sent.
