Workman cleaned and checked the fireplace and chimney on first visit. He advised I needed a double cap on chimney, as the one there was insufficient for both furnace and hot water tank. Should a bird or other creature get in, CO2 would build up because of the small opening.
Fireplace had several gaps, breaks that were advised to fill. He filled them neatly, using duct tape to cover nearby areas he didn't want to smear with mortar.
Work was done in both visits in under 1 1/2 hrs. Advised how /when to build first fire.

Everything went well.

We're on time and did good work. To today the problem has been resolved

Superb job! Ben was very helpful because he explained the design of the chimney and how to open and close the flue. I rated B on punctuality only because his previous job ran over and he arrived ~1.5 hrs later than the window quoted.

I had a less expensive bid from one of the top chimney repair services on Angie's list, but they wanted to reduce the 7 foot chimney to a three-foot stump. I wanted to maintain the historic character of the chimney, and the height for air flow and safety reasons, which Clean Sweep clearly explained. Clean Sweep Chimney Service rebuilt the brick chimney from the roof line that included---at my request---maintaining the nineteenth-century cobbled effect. It's perfect! Ben and his team are highly skilled masons and they reproduced the artistry and skill of their historic counterparts---by taking photos of the original and reproducing the details. Now the new chimney will last another century! They are willing to listen, make suggestions---plus checked air flow from the boiler and hot water unit afterward. I couldn't be happier with the company's masons, service manager and chimney sweeper. Highly recommended.

They did a terrific job especially Mark, one of their guy. He was professional and on time.

I don't know if this company does good work or not. I called and left a message but they didn't bother calling me back to discuss what we needed done. Now maybe this business couldn't do the type work I asked about, but I could have been called saying as much. The other company that I called, initially, said he didn't do that type work. However, after he and I talked he came out and found out that our issue WAS something his company could fix. So we are going to use them.
This is why I have graded them as I have.

The person who handled my initial call was the technician who serviced my fireplace and chimney. At the initial call, he asked me some questions, provided an estimate of cost and time, explained acceptable payment methods, and set an appointment. On the appointed day, the technician was on time. He introduced himself and was polite. He was friendly and made some jokes, too. After that, he got right to work. First he asked me if I had any concerns about the fireplace or chimney, and he asked me how much wood we tend to burn, if there was any history of prior chimney cleaning or repairs or professional recommendations. He wanted to be aware of these things in order to do a better job during the inspection. He was efficient and finished within his time estimate. His cost estimate was accurate, too. The technician gave me a general and quot;state of healthand quot; report of my fireplace and chimney. He also made some sound recommendations that were designed to save me money (rather than get me to spend more, unnecessarily). He assured me that the minor wear and tear was not a safety concern and he instructed me on how to watch for problems that might indicate a bigger problem starting, or a hazard. He also pointed out features of my fireplace that would allow for easy upgrades should I ever wish to consider them in the future. When he left, there was no mess. My experience with this company and thier service was flawless and met my expectations in every way. I will use them again in the future.

I called them on Tuesday and got a appointment the next day for a problem the home inspector found in a house we are purchasing. They drove 75 miles round-trip and worked for over two hours freeing up dampers, cleaning flues so that they could do the video inspection. They put down cloth to protect the floor and surrounding area. They provided me with both written reports, pictures, video and an estimate to fix problems. They were both knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I have never called them before, but have no hesitation in recommending them as their price and services were Incredible.

.I was not very happywith this company because they did not follow-up on giving me information on how to fix the problem with my chimney. After the inspection the company never called back with an estimate after they told me they would get back to me in three days. The actual work he did on the inspection was good and he kept things clean but I would not use them again after they didn't get back to me with an estimate after they told me they would.

We are very pleased with their work, they did a good job, very professional, We have recommended them to others.

The fireplace is less than clean, and they did damage to my house, and were unresponsive and unprofessional in settling the issue.

Service tech was on time, polite and professional. Took measures to protect the area around the fire place. Would never know he had been here. Suggestions were offered for comverting the fire place into a gas unit. He also checked an old wood burner, recommended not using as a heat source.

I had Clean Sweep (project manager: Mark) quote and then subsequently rebuild two chimneys on my house. In terms of quoting, they weren't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. The quoting process was very professional. After getting proposals from 5 companies, they were by far the most professional as well as reasonably priced. I hired them to rebuild two chimneys that were beyond repointing. They were very prompt, professional, and on-time. They completed the two chimneys in three and a half days. Everything looks great and has functioned well so far. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for sweeping (which I had done the year before) and chimney repair/rebuild work.
