About us

Buffalo Glass Block Company is part of the RGF Industries family of companies; we started growing in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania more than 40 years ago. It began with the mission of providing easily installed, fully-assembled glass block windows to the Western Pennsylvania market. As the industry grew and changed RGF moved with it, we now have 5 full service locations; Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Dayton, Buffalo and Rochester, serving the Midwest and the Northeast since 1965. We began with manufacturing glass block basement windows, and then developed fresh-air vinyl vents specifically designed for glass block windows. We now produce fully-assembled partition walls; glass block shower kits that include specially designed bases, and our new nail in place CrystaLok® vinyl framed glass block window for new construction applications. We also distribute individual glass blocks from the finest manufacturers worldwide, along with a range of installation products to make any project easy for the contractor or do-it-yourselfer. Our installation departments are capable of handling any application, from the largest commercial installation to residential basement windows. We have installed glass block products for more than 200,000 customers. We believe in producing, distributing and installing high quality products; but our job doesn’t end when the product leaves the factory; we provide the tools and the knowledge necessary to ensure our customer’s success.

I'm happy with the windows and that's the main thing but once the weather gets warmer I'd like someone to take a second look because the finish doesn't look as smooth as I thought it should be with the cementing.

The installed was on-time and very quick with the work. Everything turned out great. The installer cleaned up his mess and the area very well, to the point you couldn't tell there was an install that day. Along with that, all debris was removed from the previous install which was nice to not have to deal with. They ask that you don't touch the windows for at least 24 hours, we gave it 48 just so everything could set without any issue and they are still perfect to this day. Great work and highly recommended.

Bought the two window special on Angie's List. Was contacted shortly thereafter and met a representative at the site (it is a new build) to go over the details. A couple of days later the windows were installed. They did a great job and gave me the special price for the third window.

Bought through Big Deal. Estimator came out to inspect windows and we requested to have vents in, as deal was for glass block only. Cost and extra $15.00 per window. Worker came out when promised and installed windows. Did mess up drywall around windows. Stated he tried not to, but in order to get windows in, had no choice. Windows look nice, but am going to have to get drywall repaired.

Buffalo Glass Block came out to give us an estimate for 8 glass block basement windows in our home. They were very courteous and professional. We ended up going with a company who have us more vented windows for the same price. But had we not received the second estimate we would have utilized Buffalo Glass Block.

We hired them for the work after finding them on Angie’s List. We received an estimate from one other company. Buffalo Glass Block Company came in at a lower cost and was able to start the job sooner. He did a wonderful job and was very professional. Initially, one of the windows he had brought had been made the wrong size. He had already torn out the old ones and made sure they had a window that fit that same day.  They did a great job with the work!

They are a very established company and have been around for quite a while. They have a great history with a good reputation and that was very important to me. They were very professional and went above and beyond!  They had one person initially come and scope the job out and then they sent a crew out to complete the work. They even gave you quite a variety of glass block to choose from the texture to the insulation. They were very neat and clean. They completed the job in one day and cleaned up very well after the work was complete. They arrived and finished the job on time. Everything turned out exceptional!
