The 2 plumbers can in at 8:30, 1/2 before the were to arrived and because working on clearing the drain. The job was very difficult because the kitchen drain does not clear debris very well and it cannot be clear simply with a snake. The plumbers work hard and finally cleared the pipe. They explained to me every step they were taking. They cleaned up after themselves and left when they were done. I will contact them for all of my plumbing needs.

Purchased my own shower valve body to be replaced by professional plumbers. Scarponi sent two young guys to give me an estimate. They came, saw what I had purchased, explained that the tile in the shower would need to be removed and hole made in the wall since the valve body is located behind the wall and gave me an estimate. I was told it would only take a few hours.
I agreed to the price and they began work. A few hours in, the guys needed some parts and left. When they returned they ran into another problem and seemed to be trying to figure it out on the fly.
Hours and hours passed by and they were being called by the boss every half hour apparently who kept asking how long they'd be at this job. The guys seemed like they wanted to finish my job, but the boss ordered them to the next ones which were backing up.
I told them they couldn't leave me without a working shower and they put the boss on the phone.
Anthony, I beleive his name was, started cursing me out saying his guys couldn't spend all day at my job, that they had other jobs backed up, that this was my fault because I bought the valve body and had not let them supply the valve body. I responded back, that the fact is they inspected the valve body before any work was done and agreed to do the job. If they couldn't, wouldn't, or whatever, they are the and quot;professionalsand quot; and should have known better and not taken or started the job leaving me stranded with no shower.
He told me to F off and hung up.
They left, leaving me with no shower and after speaking with a different boss, the guys returned the next day finshed up the job.

I understand there may be unforeseen problems in any job, but I'll never use Scarponi again because that is NO WAY to treat a customer, ever, regardless of the circumstances. I mean he cursed me out for his team's mistake. Unbelievable.

Both Richie and later his crew arrived promptly, set to work promptly, and worked diligently. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and responsive to any questions and most requests. Two negatives, both relatively minor: (1) when they replaced the basement toilet (this had to be pulled out to run the inspection line into the sewer line), the re-installation resulted in messy grout around the base of the toilet; (2) the sump area was left coated with icky paper and other matter residual from the backup (although I'd requested they clean it out).

The quality of their work was not bad.
