Roof Masters did not call back as promised. Probably a minor issue that could have been resolved had I contacted the company again, but I didn't have time.

They did a very good job and I am happy with the results!

You know the old adage "You get what you pay for?". Well in this case it is absolutely true. From the outset, Mike Sapirstein was highly responsive, returning all of my telephone calls, arriving when he said he would arrive, answering all of my questions thoughtfully and patiently. Since my problem with leaks was primarily snow and freeze/thaw related, I was comfortable waiting for an opening in his busy schedule to get the work done. We both agreed that it would be possible to wait. Once the work started, Mr. Sapirstein arrived with an excellent four man team. Because it was necessary for them to access the roof from the back of the house, they carefully prepared a path through the house, cleaning up at the end of each day. No one would ever be able to detect that materials, etc. had to be carried through the house. They were that careful. Mr. Sapirstein was also willing to accommodate my request to retain a special protective gutter, not regularly used on flat roofs. The team was creative and successful in keeping that gutter in place. I also trust that they would have been honest with me, if it were not going to work. The roof job is impeccably well-done. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the job and would recommend Roofmaster highly

We had a few problems and he came back to fix those problems for the same price.

I don't know a thing about roofing so I can't tell you in detail what they did, but it seems to have gone well and fixed the problem. They worked really fast, were up on the roof and out within a half hour. The repair seems to be holding.

Mike Sapirstein, the owner, is very serious about his work. I was very satisfied. I would definitely recommend Roofmaster. Very professional.

Mike promptly came out to the house for an estimate and fully explained the proposed plan on the roof, including cleaning some VERY hard to reach windows and gutters. The leak situation was quite tricky with lots of guesswork required as to where the various leaks were coming from (not visible). He got most of the leaks the first trip out, and the remaining (minor) leaks were winnowed out in subsequent service calls. Mike always responded very promptly and courteously (the guys were generally at the house the same day or the next day) to my calls. I really like that I have a contract and he is 100% good on it -- there was no difference in service from the initial consult to the subsequent visits covered by the contract (as I have experienced previously with others). Mike is super friendly and professional and his crew is a delight. I felt fine leaving them at the house when I went to work, and they let themselves out. Honestly, a pleasure to deal with from start to (hopefully) finish! I will DEFINITELY contact Mike if I need further repairs.

***Update***After some particularly heavy rains we developed more leaks to our roof about 16 months after Roofmaster performed the original work that was reviewed below, some in the same places that leaked before, and some in some new places. Mike visited our property to inspect the roof once again and said that, although he was very busy, he would respond with an estimate/work plan. I understood that the work from Roofmaster's original job was no longer under the 1 year warranty and was fine paying to have additional work done as necessary. I followed up with Mike by phone and email several times (and over a long period of time) after his visit, but never got a single response, not even an acknowledgment that he was too busy to do the work now, etc.. Part of the reason that we had chosen Roofmaster in the first place was their responsiveness/willingness to stand behind their work, and I did not appreciate being completely blown off on our 2nd time with them after it was obvious that some remedial work needed to be done. ******************************************************************************************************************************************** We developed some leaks in a few different places on our new construction flat roof after the heavy spring rains. Mike showed up on time to evaluate our roof and thoroughly inspected it, pointed out potential problem areas and explained the corrective work that he would perform. He gave us an estimate on the spot and when we accepted promptly followed up with a written contract and scheduled a date to perform the work. While Roofmaster's estimate was higher than others, Mike's thoroughness in inspecting our roof, diagnosing and explaining potential problems and willingness to stand by his work after it was performed led us to accept his estimate. Mike and his team showed up on time on the scheduled day and performed all of the repairs. We haven't had any issues since and Mike has even checked in with us a couple months later to make sure that we haven't had any further problems. I would use Roofmaster again in the future and would recommend them to others. They are more expensive than other roofers, but you get what you pay for in terms of the quality and thoroughness of the work and reliabilty of the workers.

Mike and his team came over to fix a very problematic roof on my A-frame house. Instead of suggesting a roof replacement, he replaced gutters and patched the existing roof to stop a series of leaks in the apartment below. Even after the original work was completed in February, he checked in with me and came back to do additional work sealing the roof. Highly recommended.

Mike would not return calls left on his voice mail. After he finally showed up to examine the roof, he did not bring a ladder but just looked at it from the ground. Would not provide an estimate for the work. He just said that there is a dent in the roof and that he is too busy on other projects to take care of my roof. His exact words were " I'm not interested to do this job" Would not explain what is wrong with the roof It seemed that the Roofmasters have reached their capacity and are not able to take on new projects.

The whole process was easy and pleasant from the first visit to the completion of the job. They went beyond what had been initially suggested and closely examined the whole roof fixing other stuff- and cleaned the roof and the gutter. They "couldn't leave the job until they had covered all the potential problems" Everybody involved was good to deal with and professional.

Our experience with Roofmaster has been amazing from start to finish. Mike responded quickly to our request for an estimate, and explained everything very clearly. once signing contract, we were scheduled in within days to start. The roofmaster team did an excellent job. The new roofs are great and they did sme fantastic problem solving on our very old vestibule roof. The team was very repectful to our home and very conscientious during the job. The left everything clean, removed the trash. In addition, Mike went above and beyond by speaking with our home insurance adjusters (about the damage that caused us to have to get the new roof!), and sent detailed notes to our insurance comany. We also appreciated that he communicated via email as well as phone -- which was very convenient for us.

Existing gutter was leaking. Came as requested for estimate,good price for copper gutters,crew came on the day and time specified to attach it. Cleared off snow,checked placement many times,pointed out masonry problems but worked around them. Left roof neat.

The person who came was rather young and new in the industry. Yet he was very professional and did a very good job. He asked me not to go to the roof so that the glue dries up. There have been no leaks so far.

The owner of this company, Mike, was very trustworthy. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. He even came back to the building to show me what was done. He wasn't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I got great quality work from them and I would use them again.

A glass pane from one of our older skylights had slid about two inches and left a significant gap open to all weather. A few years ago I had our roof done by Roofmaster and was extremely pleased with their work and professionalism, so they were the first (and only) company I called as soon as the problem was identified. Mike answered my call immediately and actually remembered our specific job. They were already booked solid for the day, but I was told if it was at all possible they would come out that afternoon and fix my skylight before the expected rainstorm hit. Mike told me he would call around 3pm and sure enough, that afternoon I received a call saying there would be enough daylight to come over and fix the problem. The crew arrived exactly as Mike promised and went up on the roof quickly. The glass pane was re-secured into the place and all of the glass panes on the skylight were resealed. The entire job took about 20 minutes, including the time it took unloading and loading the ladders. It had been agreed that Mike would call me the next day with the cost of the job, as he would speak to his crew and find out how complex the job was, etc. The next day I received a call from Mike - because I was a previous customer, Mike had decided not to charge me anything. I cannot explain how shocked and impressed I was by this - it really made realize further what a great company this is - to not only come out at a moments notice and to fix a potentially damaging problem as quickly as they did - but also a company that appreciates their customers so much that they take care of them years later. It spoke volumes that this company - that could have easily charged me and moved on - decided to help me with a problem unrelated to the work they previously had done - just to make sure we continue to be happy. I cannot praise Roofmaster enough for its stellar business practices and fine work.

Michael's crew arrived on schedule and completed the work as promised, in one day.

From the beginning, Mike was responsive and knowledgeable. Completed work on time and did what he said he would do. He made a special trip to repair a bad leak before he started work on the job. His price was reasonable. He supervised the work himself. He was very pleasant to work with.

I had contacted Mike after finding Roofmaster on Angie?s list. He came by for an initial consultation and we discussed the different options for the roof. The original roof was poorly done from the contractors who built the roof and we had been having leaks on and off for 2 years before I had finally decided to just redo the entire roof before the winter season. Mike was very knowledgeable and offered many different suggestions and ideas for the roof. In the end, we decided that putting an entire new layer on the roof would be the most headache free solution. I had also asked to have it pitched on one side so that the water flowed more evenly and not have massive standing water as I did before. Mike and his crew came on time for the job each day and did an excellent job redoing the entire roof. They were very professional and thorough during the entire process. As a female home owner, it was nice to work with a contractor who was personable, easy to understand and one who explained the entire job process. I will be using Mike and his crew again for future needs.

Fit us into the schedule on short notice, dealt with our co-op's contractor paperwork requirements, showed up on time, did the work quickly, followed up to check a month later that the leak was fixed. Very happy. Thanks, Roofmaster!

We had an excellent experience. The quality of the work is good and was completed in a very timely manner. Roofmaster clearly explained our options to us and how much each type of work would cost. The contractors cleaned up thoroughly when the work was completed.

As the President of my building corporation, it was my duty to find, interview and hire a qualified roofer to repair our gutter which had broken off in one section during a heavy Nor'easter. As time was of the essence, Mike from Roofmaster answered my call and from the very beginning was very prompt and professional and we went with his company.

These guys were wonderful. This was a particularly difficult time since my family just experienced a recent death. Mike was very clear, specific, innovative, and sensitive, and kept us informed at each juncture. I liked his thinking through all possibilities and presenting several ways of completing the work. I say, look no further--yes, I know this is said in commercials, but in this case it's true. The work has held up. Other contractors come to the house (for other things) and say he's done a good job--without my prompting. Plus, they left the place cleaner than it was...I'd use them again in a minute.
