On time, on budget and didn't sell me on a new roof. Made some recommendations which we will follow up with in the future. I recommended his to four of my neighbors and a client.

From the initial contact until they came by to put on the final coat of reflective paint, it's hard to imagine a more communicative, trustworthy, and skilled roofing company. We had used Roofmaster a few times before to patch issues with our building's roof (we are a co-op building), and each time (even once right after Superstorm Sandy!), Roofmaster Mike and his crew were prompt, polite, and able to converse about details. They also offered a competitive and fair price for each patching/sealing job. When it came time to fully replace our roof, there was no doubt that we would choose Roofmaster NYC. Mike gave us three different options for the new roof, and exact costs for each. Our contract was delivered in a timely way, and despite delays in starting the work, due to terrible weather conditions this winter, Mike & Co. were very communicative throughout, advising us that once the weather cleared and the roof was dry, he would be able to begin. On one of the clearer days during which the crew couldn't begin the full roof repair, he and his crew even came by to protect and seal the old roof to help with our leaks before he began the complete overhaul. After clear communication (both a phone call and an email) to coordinate the start of the job, Mike & his crew delivered all of their supplies at the exact date/time promised, and put down protective covering near the roof hatch exit, so that we didn't get any black stains from the materials. They came on time, as promised, EVERY DAY they said that they would. They were thorough in all of the steps that Mike had described in his contract, and great at keeping our building updated as to their progress throughout their time on our roof. And now it's all shiny, secure, and dry! Plus, he even removed and reattached our skylight so that it would stop leaking. I wholeheartedly recommend Roofmaster NYC to all of the Angies List Community and will most likely offer, unprompted, high praise in casual conversation about Roofmaster NYC and our experience for years to come. I chose Mike at Roofmaster to do this job because I felt like he related to us and our home more than the other two guys I got quotes from. His quote was about $4000 lower than the highest quote and probably a little more than the lowest quote. (Hard to say exactly because that quote wasn't all inclusive.) Several bonuses of working with Mike. We were also getting the brick pointing done around the same time and he called the mason to coordinate. I also ended up with several phone numbers for Mike and Christina in the office so I felt like I could always reach someone. Office calls were returned the following business day. The work itself went very smoothly although weather extended our timeline by a day. All up it took five days of work. The crew did a great job of answering all my questions when Mike couldn't be there. The thing that impressed me was that Mike clearly cares about the quality of the job. I'm extremely happy and I'm already getting Mike to do another smaller roofing job on the back of our house.

When we called Mike he was very prompt in returning our call and then went out to our home the same day. After spending some time on the problem he recommended we get a plumber instead, and emailed us his assessment (not leader pipe problem, rather plumbing drain issue) and include a very responsive plumber too. When we asked what we owed for his time, he replied by saying "nothing, estimates are free". His service was prompt, his interaction with us was very patient and pleasant, and he was honest enough to recommend another artisan without charging us. This was all a pleasant surprise. We definitely would use him again.

Mike and one helper identified the source of the problems and repaired them effectively.

He was responsive and professional. He did a good quality job. We have even used him more than once. He always does a great job for us.

He was responsive, provided an estimate, came when promised, did what was needed. The price did seem a bit high for the task, but he said that was his minimum and I understand that getting a truck here, setting up a ladder etc. is all necessary, no matter how small the job. I liked the fact taht he sent an email afterward (as I was not home when he did the job) telling me what he did and explained what would be needed to fully repair the gutter in the future.

I called 4 times. Twice left a message and twice talked with a woman. when I spoke to the woman she said I would get a call back. My first call was on 5/31/13 and my last call was on 6/5/13. I understand people are busy but, the woman who answers the phone should state right now, we are not taking any estimates as we are very busy.

Totally ignored my calls. Never returned them.

They were very good and professional. Everything was fine and they were very prompt. Their price was reasonable for what they did.

The whole process from coming to giving an estimate to finishing the job went smooth and easy. In one day they removed old layers of roofing and prep the roof for new material and final application. They arrive with a hard working crew. They came and went before you knew what happened. I waited close to one year before writing a review. Time is a true test and so far everything remains great. No problems and I would recommend them in a heart beat.

I think they could improve on response time generally, but other than that they are excellent and do very good work.

There was a leak from my roof into my bedroom. Roofmasters shows up at my house, climbs their ladder, notices the gap around the chimney and repairs it within one hour. Have not had a problem since. Also, Mike is a nice guy and gives you a good feeling that what he prescribes is the right thing for you. He also noticed some small items that he could get to at the same time - like cleaning out the gutters and repairing an old patch that was wearing out - and just went ahead and did the work while he was up there. This is the 2nd time that he's come in and solved our roof problems, quickly and well. Highly recommended!

I had a couple of other repair people try to fix my roof, one of them from Angie's List, but they never got it right. Mike gave me one of two estimates that month. His explanation seemed intelligent and he showed me why he thought he had the plan. I'm glad I chose Mike. He was punctual, professional, but best of all --- No more leaks even during downpours and hurricanes. It's been almost a year and I am very happy with the results. This is the roof repair your house needs.

I sent Roofmaster's an email because I couldn't reach them by phone. I received a prompt response which was most informative, We arranged an appointment time, but unfortunately never did meet. I decided to put the project off until this spring at which time i would consider their services again.

I am pleased with the work and there were no more leaks!!!

RoofmasterNYC responded to my estimate quickly, gave me good information and options, and scheduled the work quickly. They arrived on time and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. As it was soon after Sandy, I appreciated their honesty and availability for a small job. Mike is very personable and easy to work with.

We had a slow leak coming from the front part of our co-op building's roof, which Mike came out to inspect in the days right after Hurricane Sandy hit, despite his heavy workload. (Note: we are returning customers, as we had had Roofmaster NYC out to fix a problem with our gutter and the slant of the roof back in 2009. We are still beyond satisfied with that work!) Mike responded within the hour to both a phone call and email. He was prompt and clear and we set up a time to do the inspection for the next day, a Saturday. When that didn't pan out, he notified us, and was able to reschedule for the next day, a SUNDAY. Mike came to the building, talked with the affected apartment and made it clear that we did not have an emergency. He did recommend that we have some patching done, and to extend the life of the patching, paint over and seal it up. We set a date for two weeks in the future. When the time came, there was both email and phone confirmation, (I am SO IMPRESSED with Mike as a communicator!) and he and his crew were prompt and efficient (and fun to talk to.) The work took the better part of a day, and Mike and his team member were really polite & knowledgeable. There was documentation, with the contract guaranteeing his work for one year. Kickass. When the time comes to re-do our entire building's roof, I will strongly recommend that our co-op chooses Roofmaster NYC again, as the communication, the work, and the attitude are so off-the-charts reliable, impressive, and pleasant.

I had several problems with my roof and gutters. My call to Roofmaster was quickly responded to. Mike showed up as promised and gave me a clear evaluation of my problem. A date was set for work to begin. But then Superstorm Sandy hit. Mike called to delay the start of work to help emergency situations. About ten days later, he called to set up a new date. He showed up early on the promised date with a crew of five men. I was greatly impressed with the professionalism of the crew. Each man clearly knew his job and they worked together smoothly and efficiently. When the job was finished, they cleaned up thoroughly with no piece of shingle or wood left behind. Mike's initial assessment of the work needed proved to be right on target and I gladly paid the agreed amount. I was totally delighted with Roofmaster and will certainly call Mike again when my main roof needs fixing.
