Iceberg Mechanical Corp

Paul, the owner of Iceberg Mechanical, came and gave me a detailed and reasonable explanation of what would work best for me and what needed to be done.  I had other less-expensive bids, but I didn't feel as comfortable with their presentations and had trouble getting back in touch with them, something that never happened with Iceberg (Linda would always take my call and questions, and Paul would always get back to me before the end of the day).  I really needed to make sure this was done correctly, because I live in a COOP that was a little hesitant to grant me the permission to do this - and I'm very glad I chose Iceberg.  The crew - especially Leonardo - came in right on schedule and very calmly, efficiently - and cleanly! - got everything finished in one day.  True, it was a little more expensive than I had expected, but thankfully they honored the Angie's List coupon I had stumbled upon, and are working to get me a rebate from Con Ed for installing an energy-efficient system.  I'm also glad to know that they will be the ones honoring the Mitsubishi warranty, as well as extending it themselves for another two years.  I definitely recommend them and am glad to use this opportunity to thank them for a job well done.

It went well. The company showed up to do the work. I will call on Iceberg next spring to help keep this system going.

Some decisions about placement of the air handler units should have been thought through better -- e.g., placing the kitchen unit directly across the room from the gas stove. Exhasting these units can be tricky, and some of the workers wanted to take the easy way out. But the owner / manager was willing to make sure the job was done as i wanted. Overall, the job was done well, with no major complications.  They even had a worker to patch and paint the walls to finish off the job.

 I spoke to Paul Hamel on a Monday, we set an estimate for Wednesday. Paul came on time and gave us his proposal - spelling out exactly what had to be done. We had met with other contractors but Paul gave us the best details of the job, a competitive price. He was very polite and had a professional demeanor. We agreed that work would begin on Friday at 8:30AM. The work crew came on time and the job was finished all in one day. The men's work was excellent and they did a great job with the clean up. All in all it was a very positive experience. I certainly would recommend them. 

Paul arrived on time as promised, we went through the house, he was very professional and explained what was involved, A few days later he emailed a proposal, it was much higher than I expected and after receiving several other estimates we decided to go with someone else.    

They did a very good job. We were very pleased and the workmen were very professional. They were punctual and they got the job done within the time frame. They cleaned up after themselves. It was a very complicated and big job. It was a relatively good experience. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable. The price was fair.

They were fantastic and professional. The owner Paul was honest, fair and his workers were excellent.

They were knowledgeable and have an excellent website. They do commercial and residential work. What they wanted to do was a little more expensive. I did like them but I ended up using another company for what I needed.

They are diligent and professional. They are not the cheapest but they do a great job. They guarantee their work and are very thorough. I was completely satisfied with them.
