The repair person, Dominick, came and immediately misdiagnosed the problem without even trying to really ascertain what's going on. I knew that because I'd researched it myself first. I insisted he contact Frigidaire and, after they walked him through steps, he concluded what my research already showed. Since then, he's blown off 3 appointments, never once answered his phone, and once called to confirm an appointment on a day we didn't have one. I'm going to lose the money I paid for his first visit because I now need to try another company. Stay far away from these people.

I called Herb's and a service tech, Dom arrived promptly the next day. He evaluated the situation and called Frigidare tech support. They discussed the issue at hand. The Frigidare tech support asked the service tech to check some items, which he did. After that they came to an agreement as to what the problem was. It appeared to be the user interface touch pad. The tech then ordered the part. It arrived the following week. Herb's called me and set up a date to install the touch pad. Dom arrived replaced the part within 5 minutes. Problem resolved. He was not only knowledge, but friendly and pleasant. My only issue was that at times the phone at Herb's was often busy. I would not hesitate to call Herb's Appliance Service again.
Description of Work: The problem was an intermittent false door ajar alarm. The alarm should sound only when any door remains open for approximately 5 minutes. This was on a Frigidare refrigerator. The service call was an in warranty problem.

My Washer Dryer Combo is under warranty. The warranty company arranged for Herb's appliance to repair my Dryer. Dominick arrived a few hours late. He listened to the noise my dryer was making and said he would order a part, and be back the next Tuesday. I never heard from him again. Herb's Appliance never returned my phone calls. I called the warranty company and they set up another appointment for someone from Herb's to come out. This time no one showed up at all. They still won't return my phone calls. I haven't given them any money, but they've taken up a lot of my time. Stay away from these guys.

Man came over for estimate charged $80 for service call which would be applied to overall final bill. Said he had to order the parts which would take two days. This was on a Tuesday. After not hearing on the weekend I called on Monday morning and you can't ever get anyone on the phone. Finally got a call back and they said the technician would come on either Tuesday or Wednesday. I had asked the technician to be the first call so that I could go to work. the technician or Herb never ever called me. After finally calling on Wednesday afternoon and actually getting someone I was told that someone would be there at 10AM sharp the next morning. At 10:30AM no one showed so I called and was told that the technician was just getting into the Holland tunnel which meant that he wouldn't get to my apt. in Manhattan till around 12 Noon. I demanded a reduction in price for having been jerked around. The technician finally arrived @ 12Noon and just charged me for another service call. What unprofessional people! I would never use them or recommend them to anybody!

I was extremely pleased with Herb's. After dealing with an appliance repair company that is not good in the past, I know a good one when I see one. Herb's charges reasonable rates and they use good skills to figure out what the problem actually is.
Description of Work: Herb's repaired my washer. It is a front loading washer. It smelled like mildew. Herbs came, assessed the situation, took out the seal and inserted a new one.
