As I said above, the woman who came to my home was very professional. She did everything I asked and paid mainly attention to the kitchen which is as I requested. She did everything I asked of her and did a very good, thorough job. It obvious that she was not used to coming to this part of Queens and it was some difficulty for her. I don't think the company usually works in this area. My experience with the one woman was quite good but the company, by telephone, was something else. First of all, as I said above, they promised to send a person (male) to my house on a Saturday. When Saturday morning came and afternoon wore on, noone appeared and I called the company to inform them of this. They were surprised saying they had just spoken to the man the day before and couldn't imagine what happened to him. They offered me an extra hour for the same price and I accepted. They sent a woman on Monday and she was great. The company kind of gave me the run-around because when I called to speak to the man to whom I spoke at first, they denied that he worked there and had me speak to someone else. I thought this was silly but not too important.
As I said the woman who did arrive, did a splendid job and the only reason I won't hire them again is because of their price which is too much for me to pay ($50 an hour).

I use them about once a year and use the same two people. I have had a relationship with them for 5 or 6 years. They are absolutely extraordinary. They do very thorough and consciences work.

It was quite good regarding the cleaning.
However, the cost was way more than what we expected. The so called additional cost was computed in such a way that we did not get any benefit from the deal Angie's List offered.
The most annoying aspect of the experience was the indisciplined behavior of the cleaning crew. Even though they had their break periods, they requested to use our toilets and our microwave oven. This was embarrassing.
We will not use this service in the future.

They (two female cleaners) arrived on time and were very friendly. They divided the job between them, as we have two levels in my apartment - bedrooms upstairs, living room /kitchen downstairs. I stayed in my home for the first 4 hours with them, and then had to leave briefly to pick up my son from school.
They are required to check out with me before they leave the job, and this was done when I came home with my son. It was done very quickly, it seemed they were in a rush, and I thought this was because they didn't want me to incur extra charges for additional time. Upon the speedy review, everything seemed fine. The cleaning was nothing special, especially for the price. The windows did look nice, and the floors felt clean - everything else was just satisfactory.
Unfortunately, when I went to get my good jewelry for my wedding anniversary in August, it was all gone. I last saw the jewelry in late May, then I had the cleaning in June, then I left for the rest of the summer until I came back in mid-August. No one else had access to my apartment, especially the bedroom, except my husband or our Super, whom I trust completely. We have never had any problems in the past.
Therefore you can see why I am unhappy with the service performed, and why the grade F was given overall.

The housecleaning itself went fine. She listened to my instructions about what was to be cleaned and what wasn't. (Not all housecleaners do.) Things looked pretty good when she was done. She was prompt and cheerful, brought her own liquids. I provided anything bigger than a bottle. She had no trouble communicating with me at all.
The only issue was with scheduling. I came down with a pretty bad cold the night before the cleaning and called to postpone til another day so I didn't get anybody sick. But the dispatcher never told the cleaner. So she showed up per our original appt while I was in bed with a cold. But we figured it out. Apparently this is not unusual for this company.

I hired Great Green Cleaning Service to clean my entire apartment as I moved out. Joyce arrived early and for 5 straight hours worked to make my apartment look brand new. She did everything from washing the walls and floors to scrubbing the bathroom and cleaning the refrigerator. I couldn't have been more impressed with the results.

My experience with this company was excellent from start to finish, including the initial phone call just to set up the cleaning date. The people who answered the phones were consistently friendly and helpful. On cleaning day, Ofelia arrived on time and with a smile on her face. She was slated to work for 4 hours in a studio apartment. It was in the upper 90's that day, and we had not yet bought an air conditioner, although we had a fan on the floor. Everyone was sweltering. Ofelia climbed 3 flights of stairs with her equipment in tow, entered a small oven of an apartment, and remained cheerful throughout. She worked non-stop for 4 hours, all the while telling me how much she loved her job. She was a delight. Ofelia was thoughtful enough at one point to call me over and show me a crack in the windowpane (which I had noticed myself before). She wanted to make sure we told the landlord about it so he would not accuse us of having caused the damage. I definitely felt like she was looking after us and genuinely cared. When it came to the actual cleaning, she was like the Energizer Bunny, going, going , going, and she did an excellent job cleaning the apartment.We could not have been more satisfied.

I have used this company before and was happy with the results, and I don't like to give a bad review, but this time I'm afraid I had a necklace broken and despite sending two emails about this to the company, received no reply at all. I was also disappointed to find that my own cleaning products were used instead of, like advertised, them being brought with the cleaner. The offer also promised $90 in vouchers which I never saw. The people I have dealt with and the cleaners themselves seemed lovely people but this was overall a very disappointing experience and so in the spirit of Angie's List I had to share this with other users.

The young lady was very polite and I trusted her. It went ok. Not as detailed or as much cleaning as I expected for a tiny apartment at $89.00. Nothing special. I've had much better housekeepers for $60., and got the whole job well done.

DEALT WITH CLEANING COMPANY'S BEFORE AND THEY ALWAYS BRING WHAT THEY NEED TO THE JOB YOU PROVIDE THEM WITH THE HOUSE AND NOTHING ELSE!!! NOT WORTH THE TIME TO CALL!!! We did our best to work with the member but were unable to meet her expectations for the service she had purchased and asked her to please get a refund from Angie's List. We chose not to provide her with service and believed it would be best if she chose a different cleaning service in order to avoid any undue frustration for us or the member. Our price is always set in advance and we never have any additional hidden charges. We always bring all of the liquid and powder Earth Friendly Hypoallergenic Cleaning supplies. They did a fantastic job. The oven in the kitchen was so filthy that I thought we would have to replace it. One of the cleaners spent at least an hour on the stove alone. They literally made it look brand new. They also spent over an hour each cleaning the floor covered with paint. It now looks spotless. Both employees were prompt and professional. They asked me to check their work to see if there was anything they missed, or that I would like them to re-do / spend more time on. In one case, I asked them to try to get some spots off the wall. The employee working on it said she had tried, to no avail. But she spent more time on it, during which point I saw she was right -- those stains just weren't coming out.
They also use environmentally friendly products, which is a bonus for those with children and pets. I found that these products had the additional benefit of being gentle on delicate surfaces (such as hardwood floors and finished cabinets.).
Great Green Cleaning is not cheap. They charge $50/hr per person, which is more than most comparable firms. But they did an outstanding job. If you need a deep clean, I would highly recommend them.

Went fine overall. Actually they didn't use (or need) the string mop requested by the company. Although the company quizzes you on the specifics you want in order to give you an estimate, which I appreciate. tell the cleaners exactly what you want . One of my requests was to wash, not just dust the baseboards. I'm short so I told them to wipe off tall things, such as the light fixture in one of the bathrooms, valences, etc.

They said they did have someone so I booked him. His name is Ray and he was very, very helpful. He was able to accomplish all of the things that I needed. Once the air conditioner came back, I called back Great Green Cleaning and asked for Ray to come back. He was able to come back out and connect everything and set my entertainment system up again. I'm very pleased with his work. Ray is a very good employee. I would use this company again for handyman services. Ray was very helpful and he came early. He is very polite. This was my first experience with the company and it was a very positive experience. There can be a transportation fee if the person is out of your area.

The sales person was very nice and helpful. I needed the work done on my small apartment in a few days and they were able to accommodate that. There was some confusion about what was going to be done that was lost in translation between me, the sales person and the house cleaner. After asking me what I needed, and sharing that, the sales person asked me to "prioritize" two things. I did not understand these two things were going to be the scope of the work done. When I spoke with the cleaner she indicated that if I wanted more than the 2 things, then I had more than 3 hours of work, she'd have to stay longer, thus being charged more for the work than initially negotiated. In the end the cleaner and I worked out a compromise, which was totally fine. The company just needs to be clear on what can and cannot be achieved in 3 hours. Perhaps using square footage and "clutter" as an indicator of the scope of the job. Also the deal said I would get $90 in coupons but those never came.

Absolutely excellent and thorough service. Naiomi our cleaner was running a little late and the service called us promptly to let us know there was a delay on the train and that she was running late as a result of that. She arrived 10 min post scheduled time and really did an excellent job. There were surfaces I hadn't ever seen my reflection in before prior to this cleaning that she made shine. You get what you pay for and this investment was well worth every penny.
