Terrible Experience with Junior Waite via Angie?s List ? Avoid at All Costs. I am beyond disappointed with Junior Waite and Angie?s List for recommending such an unprofessional service provider. Found through Angi List, Junior charged $80 upfront to diagnose my appliance. I warned him I?d be at work (healthcare) and had my brother would let him in. When I could not answer his call immediately, he rudely complained to my brother, ?Why request a service if you are not available?? He demanded payment details multiple times before even finishing the troubleshooting, then quoted $510 to replace a part. I politely declined, explaining to him I would be better off with a new appliance with a five-year warranty cost. He left without reconnecting the part, leaving my appliance unusable. When I called him to ask to put the appliance together and how he found it, citing that past resets make the appliance work g8v8ng me more time to buy a new one. He dismissed me, claiming it ?was not possible. After he reluctantly reconnected the part, I found a wire deliberately left unplugged? one of three! (unless he does not know how to put it back). I checked online to find out where to plug the loose wire, and once fixed, the appliance is now working(giving me time to buy a new one). Junior was rude, dismissive, and incompetent, possibly sabotaging my appliance to make a point. This is my second awful experience with Angie?s List providers, and it? is my last. Avoid Junior Waite, and do not trust Angie?s List?s vetting. Rating: 1/5 Stars

We had a dishwasher problem and these guys were very responsive and quickly set up an appt to check it out. They were able to come late (@7:30pm) and quickly diagnosed the problem. They were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Our fridge s compressor stopped working the morning we were leaving for a two week trip. With only hours before we had to leave for JFK, Junior prioritized our emergency and solved the issue. He was efficient and professional. Highly recommend.

Super fast, professional, great communicator, Very nice people. Our fridge got broken on sunday morning and they contacted me within 5 mins, came in the same day on SUNDAY AFTERNOON and fixed our fridge within 30mis. Highly recommended and I will definitely call them again if any of our appliance will get broke in the future.

Contacted me quickly. Came to house the next day. Diagnosed and resolved the problem with my clothes dryer. Just thought the price might have been a little high but the repair is guaranteed for one year, so pleased.

FAST, HONEST ,EXPLAINED ALL MY NEEDS

Junior is very knowledgeable. Pleasant personality. Our clothes dryer was squeaking, which can be dangerous to operate. He told us about what needs to be done to repair the clothes dryer and on the next day he came with the needed kit to replace a part and to clean all the lint. He worked for about an hour and gave us a one year guarantee. I highly recommend him.

They were very professional and the response time was amazing. The whole staff from the customer service representative to the technician were a pleasure to work with.

From the first contact with Gemma (,who was very friendly and professional ) this company was wonderful. She was very accommodating with our work schedule. Junior was very professional and knowledgeable. It took him less than 15 minutes to diagnose, educate my husband and repair my dryer. He saved us $800-$1,000 because we did not have to purchase a new dryer. I save their contact information to my phone. Being a home owner you need to have this company in your contact information. Very highly recommended.

They did not get there within the timeframe given, but were an hour late. The diagnosis was good, but then wanted to have additional service done until I told him I didn't think it was worth it. Junior then was able to make an adjustment that would hold off the larger fix, if it would be needed at all.

Another shop came in and gave me the absolute wrong diagnosis. Trade got it right, saved me money, and were terrific.

Terrible experience. I will NOT be using again and I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone. I had 4 specific issues with them. 1st issue: Their process of confirming appts is by sending multiple text reminders. I had booked an appt for the following day so didn't need the 3 or so texts to remind me of my appt so I ended up ignoring the texts. Then came a text (from the same number, mind you) that was from their actual technician. I naturally ignored because it was from the same phone number. Because I didn't respond they canceled my appt. unbeknownst to me. By the time my appt time rolled around, I called them wondering where the technician was and then learned of their policy. So, I had to schedule for the next day. 2nd issue: Knowing their policy of canceling appts if no response to their technician's texts I proactively texted the technician (I already had his number). We were in touch throughout the day and I was told a specific time he would be there, which happened to be at 8pm on a Friday. But he was 2 hours late. Kind of a pain but not the end of the world. 3rd issue: In my form fill on home advisors I explained that I believe I knew what the problem was but needed help confirming and potentially a new part to resolve the issue. FYI, this was for a washing machine that had a broken water pressure switch. When the technician came, he confirmed that was the issue. He did that by putting a new part into the machine and it worked perfectly. Then he told me it would cost me $200, which is more than half the amount of a replacing with a new version of that model washing machine!! I naturally said no thanks and he took his part out and charged me $60 for the house call. I then bought the part from an appliance store around the corner for $20 and installed on my own (took less than 60 seconds). 4th issue and the one that I find the most frustrating: When I called to tell them I had 3 issues and an overall poor experience I was told they would not offer me a refund of any kind, including a partial refund. They then went on to defend their business practices. So, I have no recourse other than to tell others about my experience. And there you have it.

The freezer worked just fine but the fridge was warm.......‘Junior’ fixed it within an hour And I didn’t have to buy a new fridge..... Would I recommend him and his company! YES ! YES! YES!

Junior was diligent and determined to get my dryer fixed. It had two different problems and he had to return a 2nd time with the correct parts. He worked late into the evening and got the job done! Thank you Junior! Thank you Trade Mechanical!
