"We are located in NYC, however we move people all over the US. As far as I remember this client was from center NJ -really deep in NJ :) We honestly informed that we can help with the move, but due to the fact that we need to pay tolls and gas price will be higher. Most of our client are repeat and recommended due to the fact that we are honest and not applying hidden fees or charges, taxes etc....we honestly stated that this move will be more expensive before client hired us. Prime Meridian arrived early for our 9am moving appointment. They provided 4 guys all of which were very professional. They wrapped everything including old IKEA furniture I could have cared less about. They were very efficient and moved us quickly out of our apartment.
Two Negatives
1) Moving into our townhome was not so easy as some stuff was slightly damaged as they moved them upstairs and they hit serveral walls which had to be spackled.
2) The price.I received two quotes prior to the final amount. The first (over the phone) was for roughly $800, the second (which was the morning of the move) was for $1200 and then the final was a little over $1500. I was told this was because they had to provide extra boxes for things that needed to be boxed such as floor lamps, smaller appliances which were in small boxes, pillows and blankets. We had pillows in large plastic bags but they said they could not take them in a bag and that literally EVERYTHING needed to be in a box (I have used other moving services and this was not the case). They also charged us for three boxes which they used to put down over dirt so they did not track into my new home. I was very surpised by this as I was doing them a favor by suggesting they use a back door and then I had to pay for them not to bring dirt in my home. Also there was addiional time spent on the move because they hit traffic moving us.
Overall, I'd def recommend them and use them again because even with the final cost being $1500, they were still the most reasonable and reliable
