AMazing crew! Great job!

These guys are very good.  From estimate to packing to moving stuff to two different locations.  They were ten bucks off on the final bill from the estimate, which was more reasonable than the other estimates I got.  Highly recommend these guys.  Vladimir gave me the initial estimate and the team that did the actual move....all first rate professionals and workers.  No complaints at all using them.

Went well/ no main issues.

It went amazingly. These guys kept us almost 2 thousand dollars under quotes from other moving companies. They accurately quoted despite being hourly and not by the job. We were worried about it. We did not need to be, they kept the whole thing within a couple hundred dollars, and who can be mad at that? Amazing.

They were fast, efficient and we couldn't be more pleased. We had issues lugging our sofa up the stairs due to its size, they managed through clever worksmanship, managed to get it through our window. So impressive.

There was a small mishap with regards to a table that got damaged. They are taking care of it, no questions asked at absolutely no cost to us. I am thrilled with the work they did and how they handled every single aspect of our large move.

Jon Stout came to look at our apts in order to build an estimate for our move from Manhattan up to a new house in central Connecticut. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and sent us a quote that was less than the other 2 companies we contacted for on-site estimates. His deal was also much more straightforward and understandable to us.
They completed the move in the two days they contracted for, and didn't damage a thing. They packed all our things carefully and carried them without damaging the walls in either location. The movers were cheerful and extremely hard working. We were very impressed. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends and family. A rare find: an excellent, honest, reliable moving company!

Very well, arrived on time, timely packing & moving of items.

First, I will say that moving is one of my least favorite things in the world, but the crew I had from Moving Man made it almost enjoyable.  Fernando, Hector, Juan Carlos, and one more gentleman whose name I'm drawing a blank on right now (not at all an indictment of the job he did, but of my memory) were absolutely fantastic.  We were not as prepared as we thought we would be so I was still frantically packing some stuff when they showed up.  They immediately went to work packing up the additional items left out and got us moving pretty quick....they worked fast, but carefully, in moving all of our furniture and boxes and took particular care with all the framed pictures/artwork on the walls.  They took apart the bed frames and reassembled on the other end as well.  Unloading at the new place went quickly and smoothly....with the exception of the box spring not making it up the stairs (despite great effort on the crew's part).  Other than that though, they placed all the boxes in the correct rooms and unwrapped and placed all the furniture in the right places.  All in all, I can't possibly do justice to the work they did in this review.....very pleased, highly recommend.

I had a similiar experience to the reviewer below me.  Contacted them to ask for an estimate, was told I'd be contacted by an estimator.  Three days went by, no call, so I called again; was put on hold for about  5 minutes, finally gave up.

Not sure what happened.  Contacted agency based on Angie list reviews.  They immediately contacted me and sent an estimator to my home to review the move.  He was very pleasant, professional and helpful.  He gave me an immediate quote that included both storage and non-storage services.  I received other bids but felt best with the one from Moving Man.  I sent an email the following week informing them that I would like to go ahead and hire them.  I did not receive a response.  I called the office and was told that if I was going to change dates than it might change the quote and the estimator would contact me.  He never called me.  Two days later I called the office again and was told only the estimator could contact me and they would leave him a message to call me.  He never called back.  Its now been over a week since I attempted to give them my business.  Obviously, I 'm going with someone else but would have appreciated the courtesy of a call.  I have no idea why they would go through the trouble of giving a quote if they had no intention of doing the job.  Very disappointed.

UPDATE: After posting review, the company contacted me and explained problem with communication.  I was a little apprehensive but decided to go with them.  I'm very glad I gave them a second chance as they did a wonderful job.  The crew were punctual and extremely friendly and professional in packing and preparing the apartment for the move.  The guys on the delivery and set up end were equally professional and wonderful to work with.  There were a few very minor damages which were appropriately dealt with.  I highly recommend them.

Absolutely flawless, utterly stress-free move; I would not have believed moving day could possibly go so well.  The guys showed up right on time, they worked like a well-oiled machine, packed my kitchen, packed my TV's, protected all the furnishings as well as the floors in both places.  It went so fast I couldn't believe my eyes.  They are real professionals.  Then without missing a beat they took furniture out to my daughter's 2nd floor walk-up in Queens.  And all this for $1500??  An incredibly reasonable price.  You absolutely cannot find a better moving company than this.  Don't bother trying.

Amazingly.

As great an experience as one can have moving.  I received a visit and estimate within 48 hours of calling Moving Man.  Obtained one other estimate from another A-reviewed Angie's List provided, which was substantially higher.  At that point, I just relied on great Angie's List reviews and booked it.  Team of 5 movers arrived right on time and were professional and pleasant.  They were also quite efficient and worked very well together.  When I changed my mind about the placement of a (quite heavy) piece of furniture, the response was "no problem Ms. ___" and they took care of it.  Price also came in slightly lower than the estimate.  I recommend Moving Man without hesitation.

Super job. Great guys, very careful.

.First of all let me say "I have a lot of big heavy furniture".  The 4-man team was definitely punctual arriving at 0756 in the AM for a start time of 0800.  The foreman evaluated the furniture and they were off.  They worked steadily up until around 1200 and took a 1/2 hr much deserved break and returned to finish the work They were efficient, fast, pleasant and very appropriate.
Getting out of my high-rise apartment wasn't too bad but putting the furniture into the duplex was a little more challenging as I have a few steps going into the duplex and some steps going into the bedrooms downstairs.  They completed the task in the 7-hrs that was estimated by the estimator who came out days before the move. The estimator by the way was excellent-right on point and even set me up with a box delivery before the move so I could pack some things that I wanted to pack to save on money.  They were careful with my breakable items and the glass shelves in my curios were taken care of in a very particular manner.  The only small issue I had was a personal one at the end of the move.  The balance of my payment was to be placed on my credit card which the foreman wanted to write all the information from down on a form and take back to the office-which is their standard procedure.  Because I have had credit card info stolen in the past I was hesitant to write that information down and I ended up calling it in to the office which was no big deal for anyone.
The price was acceptable and I plan to move more furniture out of my storage in the future and will definitely use them again.

From the first telephone conversation I knew this was the right moving company. They were professional and listened to my needs and gave me a great price with an hourly rate. Since they are located in New York and I am in New Jersey, they followed up with email confirmations and reminders when the date approached. The crew arrived right on time the morning of the move. They walked through both places with me so that I could show them what was going. They were so professional and caring about wrapping all the furniture so as not to damage anything. They wrapped up a very large 3 x 5 foot antique mirror with extra care. The hourly rate was fantastic because we were able to add items to the move that we didn't originally tell them about. They worked quickly, which was great since we were paying by the hour and still had the 40 minute drive to New Jersey. They actually made it to my house faster than I did and my husband was there to meet them. They moved everything in, unwrapped it, set it in place where I wanted it. Everything arrived in the same condition as it was before; nothing was damaged, including that beautiful mirror that I was so worried about. They did not leave a mark on the walls either - what a great team they were. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
