AFA Plumbing Heating Mechanical Sewer & Drain

We needed plumbing put in for a washer and gas dryer. From the beginning of the experience, this company was extremely communicative. The workmanship is excellent and I look forward to working with this company in the future.

Anthony diagnosed a water leak located in the wall of my basement as coming from the main waste line of the house, located under the slab upon which half the house is built. It was going to be a large, expensive undertaking.
I needed some time to consult my insurance provider.
After a few missed phone calls between Anthony and myself we were finally able to arrange a date for the work to be done.
Four men arrived on the appointed morning, on time, and began the excavation. They were very careful to lay down plastic on my tile floor and hang plastic  sheeting around the work site to minimize the spread of dust. They located a leak in a section of the drain line about 4 feet long. The senior plumber of the crew expertly cut removed and replace the section of what looked to me to be 4 or 6 inch cast iron sewer line. Afterward they tested for leaks, finding none they filled the hole and cemented a patch in the slab floor which I will later have covered in matching ceramic tiles.
I was very satisfied with the professionalism of the work crew. They completed the job in one day, just as Anthony said they would.

It went great.  He also tightened another faucet that had been leaking but didn't need to be replaced.  No charge for that one and it's very nice to have faucets that don't leak.

Everything went very smoothly.  Although they showed up 1 1/2 hours late (due to an emergency call which they apologized for), the service was performed courteously, efficiently and exactly as specified.  The owner was very easy to work with and the technicians that came to our home were excellent.  They took the time to explain the work performed to my wife and made sure everything worked to our specifications before they left.  Would highly recommend.

The work went well. They did some work on our bathrooms. The price was reasonable, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Anthony's price was fairly reasonable. He was very professional, punctual and completed the job in a timely manner. His crew was neat and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend Anthony to family and friends. A true professional who stands above his colleagues.

Did such a great job I had them come back two more times in the next month to do my Dishwasher install in and emergency when the old one broke and install a faucet and sink for me as well - they are really great!

They showed up did the work and made sure it was done right, this was my 3rd time using them and they are now my GO TO plumbers!!!

Contacted Anthony from AFA for an estimate and had it scheduled for a week and a half in advance at 6pm on a Friday evening. The day of the estimate was February 7th 2013, aka Winter Storm Nemo. I obviously didn't expect Anthony to come so I got drunk in preparation for the storm, and the next thing I know Anthony is at my door to give me the estimate. Not only did he come in lower than every other company I have contacted, he seemed the most knowledgeable and very honest. I had to call him back a couple days later to confirm the price, since I was drunk I thought i was hearing things.
A couple times throughout the process I gave Anthony a hard time (im very annoying). I changed my mind on some of the equipment (Anthony originally suggested that I purchase a PVG5 instead of a PVG6, and a 40 gallon heat-flo instead of a 60 gallon). I went with the higher capacity water heater just in case I expand my home in the future and add a bathroom, and also because my wife loves to take 2 hour showers.
The higher output boiler was purchased due to the availability of the PVG5. The manufacturer originally had a problem with these and delayed shipping them out so they can do further testing, relating to the accuracy of the AFUE ratings. When they started to get shipped out, I was unable to secure one so I ended up taking the PVG6 so i can finish up the installation quicker.
Throughout the entire process Anthony was very patient with me and answered all myquestions. 
His workers are also very knowledgeable and polite, it was a pleasure working with them. I installed my own sump pump a couple months before this was started, and i had a bunch of PVC pipe coupled and lead outside my house onto my driveway. His workers offered to help me out by offering to properly attach the pipe because it was leaking, since i didnt completely attach them to one another due to the fact it was only a temporary solution until I find a better spot to dump the water on my property. 
I also had AFA install a Natural Gas line for my Grill, and install protection posts for my Gas meter, since its in my driveway.
I will absolutely use and refer Anthony and his team at AFA in the future, it was a pleasure dealing with them.

There was some confusion with the appointment time but I was home and all went well.   They changed the outside faucet in a very efficient and professional manner.  The faucet part was recessed into the brick of the house making it more difficult to change. They had to chip away the brick in order to install the new faucet.  After installing the new faucet they repaired the brick work and did an excellent job.

The first time they came to see about a sink backup in the basement. When they arrived the water had drained but the technician took the time to check every sink in the house - stayed over an hour and made recommendations for future prevention which have paid off. There has been no recurrance to date. Also, they came on a weekend to handle a major leakage problem which occured. We recenytly hired them for a large project involving testing our water for a central filtering system as well as several repairs and enhancements to a very old bathroom.
Always professional, pleasant, honest and helpful.

When I first called I was inquiring about a tank less water heater. Anthony was the only plumber who explained that very expensive heater would not be a good idea for my very damp basement due to the electronic panel.  He spent about 10 minutes on the phone discussing my needs and basement issues, (there are many) before he even came over. He arrived promptly at our appointment time. He understood my flooding problem and suggested a shorter water heater that he could raise off the floor. I also needed a sump pump installed for my french drain.  His price was $500.00 less than the other two plumbers I called.
We scheduled the installation.
Today was the day. Anthony was not here for the job but his three employees showed up at 9:00 on the dot as scheduled. By 11:15 they were finished with the installation of both the hot water heater and the sump pump.  They even installed some sort of valve in the french drain pipe to stop the water from backing up thereby burning out the pump, which is what they surmised happened originally. No extra charge for this!
Wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend  AFA and will use them again whenever I need a plumber !

Anthony and his team are true professionals.  My step-mother was quoted over $1,500 to do this job by other companies and Anthony came in at $350 to do the same work.  His team were courteous, on-time and professional.  I could not be more pleased with the work they accomplished.  It is nice to see there are still true professionals out there.  It was an extensive amount of work that needed to be done and they cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant to deal with.
