Follow up at my house after I started email blog on "Facebook" resulted in a personal threat, denials of what happened on the job, no accontability taken. Responses from other disgruntled customers have been coming in fast and furious.

Auchinachie replaced circuit card 2 times claimed it needed to be changed out again, said house was not grounded, cellar too cold and drafty.  Had an electrician come and house was grounded.  Payed to have grounding stake installed.  Still had furnace issues.  Auchinachine then tried to say it was a drafty cellar, but this was not a problem when they installed the furnace in 2006 after the flood and charged $10,000 to do it.  After several trips to the house, missed time from work and everything being blamed on the house, hired handyman and within 30 mins furnace working fine, no issues for past 3 months.  Spent far too much time and energy on Auchinachie.  Filed with Better Business Bureau and had last submission to them on 4/3/14 still waiting for response from Auchinachie.  Would NEVER recommend them, would actually tell people to avoid at all costs.  Ref BBB Claim Number 9935345

I called Auchinachie to come look at a water leak from the furnace. After the tech look only at the outside- told me That I need a new expansion tank, so we were charged almost $900.00. A week later I call Auchinachie back and Tell them that it is still leaking. They come out again and look at the furnace and I am told they have to replace The valve on the side of the furnace. I'm told that there is a co2 leak but only after 4 visit. I now have to buy A new furnace. I was give. A written estimate for the work and talked to a supervisor to get the price knock down. Price was written for $5,550 and got a verble agreement to $5,000. Once the furnace is installed - I now was told that I needed 3 new valves because they were not working. I told them that the valves worked before why are they not working Now- they had no answer and wanted to charge another $1,000. I fought with them. They eventually agreed verbally To charging $500.00 I was not happy with their techs, as they had to bring in 3 other tech to try and get the valves To work with the furnace. In the end, it was a rotten experience, they charged $5,589 maybe more, and it took just about a month to complete. It took 6 visits and I was over charged from the original written quote and our verbal contract was discarded and we Wound up paying a lot more. Some Of them were no shows. It took 7-8 techs to complete the job. I got yelled at by sale man and the VP. Never ever will I uses them- they took it hands down for the very worst customer service, poor tech service, price changing, Rediculous time to complete work and the owner does not care about their customers and I was told the owner will never Call me back, and the employees do not care for their customers.

Didn't..... Yes I was told air was old on inspection 6/5/13. I mention at this visit only fan would run & it ran forever  with no cool air blowing. when they left they left me with everything ok . They didn't suggest anything.  I Went away & shut system down & when we returned turned on (BEGINNING OF HOTTESTWEEK)  . IT WAS DOING SAMETHING I HAD MENTIONED. called THEM THEY SAID I NEEDED NEW AIR. I asked how came they  couldn't tell when they did diagnostic testing on 6/5/13. Answer    It wasn't hot enough!!!OK  They sent a  estimator right over & workers sat right here for it all.   I decided to hold off .....for ten years ago  I had purchased my new furnace from them & was told by people I was over charged. Sooo I got estimates from others & the price difference for the one of same size $ 3300 difference.    I am now very happy I waited for other estimates & the people I chose were excellent in every way.

Periodically, the heater kicks off and has to be reset manually. A real problem when you are in the middle of a shower. The contractor made 2 attempts to fix the problem, and then stopped returning our phone calls.

I Bought a central ac/heating unit 4.5 years ago and did not have any problems for 4 years then the compressor went, when they were able and after I agreed to pay a service fee they came out to fix it. I did not have the unit serviced for sometime so they said the warranty wasn't valid but I paid the service fee and now have the warranty again. They have always helped when I called even on the weekend. Not too happy about the service fee but hey you have to pay for everything these days. Not too bad. Plus I have a warranty again. Good for 5 more years. I can't say enough about the service people great job and very kind and professional.

Well my central A/C unit has frozen over once again. 06/27/12 after the 5th time out here to "fix" the problem, I am done dealing with this. BBB here I come.

They had people work all three days, and they did not slack off once. The part I needed was rare, so they were having some troubles with it, which is why it took three days. I thought that they did a good job. They respond very quickly, and they have a good reputation. They also stuck to their original estimate.

They're pretty thorough. I like that they come when you call them. They discuss everything with you. They let you know when something's wrong, when something's not correct, or when something goes bad. The only thing I have to say negative about them is that their prices are the highest in the area. I have a service agreement with them. If I have a problem with them, they will come immediately.

We reported our negative experience to the BBB for NY because there was no way to correct the situation.  We asked for the money back but of course they refused.

Telephone communication was good up to the time Auchinauchie got my credit card number.(I'm an out of town landlord)
They did not install the PEX piping as I requested, but substituted copper without notifying me.  After a bunch of lame excuses I come to find out their "super truck" did not have PEX on it.  Besides substituting a material I did not ask for the workmanship was shoddy and less than amateurish.
The kitchen drain they worked on backed up within two days.  After spending another 4 or 5 hours working on the drain a second time
the "professionals" threw up their arms, gave up and left knowing the drain was still not working properly.  I was told they were done
and maybe I would want to call someone else to fix it properly.  The "supertruck" was also ill equipped of rags and drop cloths and my tenant provided bath towels for these alleged professionals to clean up after themselves.
Above and beyond the $567 they charged it cost me an additional $400 in personal expenses to do they job myself with a $13 drain snake rental and an hours time.
After being lied to about what took place on their first visit and after fighting with the service manager I was refunded $277 for the drain cleaning charge.
My multiple requests to speak with the owner were rebuffed and I was always pushed back to the plumber or the service manager.
Apparently Mr. Auchinauchie doesn't care if he has dissatisfied customers as long as he has their credit card number.
I would never hire this company again and I would never refer them to anybody, except maybe the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint.

They do really good work but they are expensive.  I don't remember how much I spent when they did the work for me.  I just know their work.  Everyone one in town says they do good work but they are expensive and they are.  They are good.  They come on time.  They are very professional.  They clean up everything.  It is just the expense and I don't know how to factor that in.  It is expensive and I am glad they did the work rather than somebody else.  Somebody might say they are expensive or worth it.

It went very quickly once I won the argument with the "water conditioning specialist"  that I was NOT gong to purchase a water analysis or water softener from Auchinachie...

Like others hit by Tropical Storm Lee flooding, I am scrambling for contractors, in particular plumbing and heating as my furnace, water heater, and appliances were all destroyed and plumbing was damaged.  With limited state disaster-assistance appliance rebates running out I had to purchase a furnace directly to avoid losing the rebate since I could not find a contractor to sell me one in time, as contractors either did not return my calls or gave me the runaround.

I called Auchinachie and explained the exact work I needed, that I was not interested in playing games but wanted an estimate if Auchinachie was available and willing to perform part or all of this work.  I was scolded for not calling Auchinachie first, told that other than possibly installing my own furnace, Auchinachie was ready to assist, and given an appointment for Tuesday the following week.

Their estimator showed up on Tuesday, reviewed the scope of work needed and various options, took my contact info and told me he would give me an estimate by the end of the week, and that the timeframe for completing the work if I signed right away would be up to a month out.  He also told me that normally they do not install furnaces they do not sell, but that since the new model I had was the same as they would have sold me, they might make an exception.  I hoped that they would, but at this point I was ready to proceed either without the furnace installation, without the heating work, or even to buy another furnace; I just wanted to get the work done, and I made this clear.

I never got the estimate. I called back Monday and left a message.  No call back Monday.  No call back Tuesday.  I called back Wednesday and left another message.  Finally I get a call back and was told that they aren't going to do the job at all, because "It's not enough money," given their manpower and the other work they were getting.

For all their promises of availability for flood relief, both in their advertising and directly to me, Auchinachie did nothing but put me two weeks closer to winter without plumbing or heat, without the decency to tell me either up front or in a timely fashion that they weren't going to do anything at any price because they didn't think there was enough money in it for them.

The company called early on July 12, 2011. I was sad to say I had to cancel appointment for him to come. The night before, my daughter and her husband had purchased a new air conditioner for me....But I kept his infor incase i needed his services in the future....Thank you Angie's list.

The unit vibrates so loud, that I can hear the noise on the other side of the street.  I have been trying to call them from then and they have never bothered to follow up.  They vented the system in front of my house in the bushes, which was killing all the shrubs.  Later I had a pvc pipe installed to rectify the same.  I have been trying to have the issue resolved, but they don’t seem to do anything.  I have had a horrible experience with them and will never recommend their services to anyone.

Unable to locate pipe despite the fact that it was right where I told it would be. Waited hours for someone to get a metal detector. They had not dug deep enough and missed by less than an inch. Tried to charge me $600 more for the delay. I refused since the well was buried were I promised. After installation I noticed the well was very loud and when I called they said that was how it was suppose to be and refused to come back out. It was louder than the 30 year old broken one I had replaced.

A salesman by the name of Mike arrived to do an estimate. When he arrived he introduced himself and proceeded to describe how good his company was and what the other companies in their business lacked. He gave us a questionnaire and asked us to fill it out and proceeded to talk about financing and various other things related to the installation, warranty, etc. When it came time to inspect our current furnace (they had a special- free furnace with central air install) and duct work he said that we weren't eligible for the deal and that he would have to "re-work" the estimate he had before he arrived. He couldn't find the door fast enough. Apparently our house was "too small" for his time and effort. Keep in mind he knew the square footage of out house before arrival so it seems to me that he should of know what system to install. It's been about a week and our call the company wasn't returned.

They gave us an estimate and arrived on schedule. We had a on line coupon for $15. per job (which they agreed we would get $60. back) When the job was done they refused to give us the $60. claiming the salesman that agreed no longer worked there. Then after one year we had to have some work done on the heater (which we paid for a 10yr service on both heaters) and they were still under warranty. They told us that since THEY didn't do an annual cleaning (@$150. per heater) that they voided our service agreement (even though it does not state that we have to have anyone do a yearly cleaning). They were rude to us every time we called after that. We ended up using another dealer for our warranty.

Called and arrived just as scheduled. Frost free faucet on "special" for $329 (very expensive come to find out). They then offered me service on furnace and a/c, told me about new hot water heaters, etc. I took them up on the furnace and a/c services. They found mice had chewed some wires in central a/c unit. They said it needed a new contactor (even though unit worked) because of the wires, so they replaced it. I wouldn't ever have them back after finding out how over priced the faucet was. I want a professional I can trust taking care of things I don't know about. Still don't know why a/c wires couldn't be taped since the unit still worked. Felt I had been ripped off afterwards. Ben, the dispatcher called and I said I had spent a lot more than intended. He didn't offer to explain or anything else.
