Description of Work: I did not give them the job. When they arrived I was stunned that I had to do the introduction and his estimate was outrageously high. He came up with a "ballpark figure" of $3000., $1900. more than the highest of three estimates that I had already received.

Description of Work: Installed a stainless steel flue liner, fixed damper in fire place, and patched fire box. Everything went very smoothly with multiple guys working on the job and one additional person providing overall oversight and coordination. Workers were extremely courteous and took exceptional care to be clean and neat. Packed all the garbage up and cleaned up nicely. I was extremely pleased with the results of the work done. Prior to starting the job, they careful went over everything they were going to do with to make sure that I understood the process and was what I wanted done. During the job they kept me informed of the progress and updated me as necessary. A very professional company that is proud of the work they do and puts the customer first. I am having them come back to do some additional repair work on the outside that could not be done during the first visit due to the extent of work and weather conditions.

Description of Work: They put a cap on one of my chimney's. They were on time and did a good job.

Description of Work: I called them and left a message the previous night. They called back the following morning, schedualing an inspection within an hour. They came right on time, and after carefully evaluating the situation, gave me an estimate for the job and explained what needed to be done. Upon my approval, they did the job (putting in a liner and cap, and enlarging the hole into the chimney which the original installers neglected to do) right away on the spot in less than 2 hours and cleaned up all debris.

Description of Work: We needed to have our chimney rebuilt from the roof line up due to leaks in the house. We selected Ageless Chimney based on their reputation and ratings on Angie's List. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the work that was done, the price we paid and the professionalism we received. They were on time, kept us informed and it was a pleasure dealing with them. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I contacted Ageless Chimney via Angie's List Message late at night on 9/11/14 and received a message back the morning of 9/12/14 as well as a phone call in the mid-morning from Cheryl to make an appointment for an estimate of work that needed to be completed. Arrangements were made for the morning of Saturday 9/20/14 between 10 AM to 12 PM as I work during the week and needed my appointment to be on a weekend when I would be home. I was called approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival as agreed upon. Bobby and Christian arrived at approximately 10:30 AM and I showed Bobby photos of crumbled concrete due to water damage outside by the foundation of one of two or our chimneys (we have two furnaces due to an extension on our home) as well as water leaking/damage in the basement where the furnace pipe go into the foundation of the house. Bobby was immediately able to determine that moisture from the type of furnace we have was causing the damage and that installation of a chimney liner would be necessary in order to stop this damage (water would drip when the furnace was running). He also noticed that repairs had been done to our other chimney and advised that if no liner was present, further damage might occur to that one again as well. He gave an estimate of $1200 for each installation and said that he did have the materials and did have the time to do it this same day. I agreed and had chimney liners installed in both chimneys. Due to difficulties with the installation in one of the chimneys, the process took several hours. Additional repairs were completed to reinforce the crumbling concrete at the base of chimney/foundation outside as well as around the furnace pipe going into the foundation wall in the basement. These additional repairs were included in the total cost. Following the repairs, I was shown both inside and outside what was done so I would be aware of what was repaired. Bobby was friendly and polite, answered all my questions, and I felt confident in his skills to assess and repair the damaged areas. He and Christian cleaned up all the areas, both outside and inside sufficiently. Due to the present warm weather, I have only turned on the furnace that had the dripping problem one time, but I feel that this situation has been resolved, though I will monitor it further when the furnace is running more consistently. I would use Ageless Chimney in the future as I have stucco touch-up needed around the foundation-base of the house and some of the windows, as well as joint repair for a stone stoop.
