SavATree - Bedford Hills

Savatree was immediately responsive to my request for an estimate...about 20 minutes after submitting through Angie's List. Someone was by the same day to survey the property. An itemized estimate (as requested) was returned the next day. The Savatree rep was a true expert in trees and tree maintenance. He identified immediately by sight the problem spots and made very valid suggestions about what needed to be done to properly care for our large trees and keep them, our house, and us safe. All work was completed neatly during the day while no one was home. An invoice was sent via email promptly after work was completed and approved by me.

I spent $ 3000 on that service. My experience with them was excellent. The gentleman that came was very knowledgeable and he gave me a lot of hints on things that I could do myself. He and his crew came when they were supposed to and they left quickly. They did an excellent job cleaning up. I would probably continue using them annually.

They came and did the work and that was that. Very friendly service.

They responded quickly when I called them to come and look at a large sugar maple tree that I was concerned about. The representative told me it would require pruning, but there was no rush to get it done - it was done within a couple of weeks. The work was done professionally and quickly. I felt that the price was on the high side, but because I was familiar with the company and had used them previously, I was willing to pay the price they set. They are reliable and I feel that I can count on them to do the right job.

I've been using them for three or four years. They come about seven times a year. I have an annual contract with them. There are not many that do what they do and they do a good job. They know what they are doing. They are competent and knowledgeable.

They came and surveyed the property and then suggested what needed to be done and the cost. Shortly afterwards I received a printed copy of the plan. The first service was performed 2 April. For tree work it is essentially the same. They looked at what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. Within a week I saw the men with their saws up in my trees. They removed all the branches etc. and left the property neat and clean.

They were excellent and they knew what they were talking about. It was a good experience with the company. it was a little pricy, but that was expected for what they had to do.

I was pleased with the initial visit and the estimate provided. It took two days in between our schedules to complete all the work. They did a really nice job, opened up the yard with a more spacious feel to it. They were neat, cleaned up after with the chipper and came back for the larger logs. The representative was professional, friendly, candid and honest. He understood my concerns and helped me to identify specifics about my trees and shrubs and then offered explanations and solutions. Overall, it went well.

As we have a rather large forest for a backyard, it is necessary to groom and ensure all the trees grow properly. Between pruning and taking care of them, we are so glad we found Save A Tree. They do a fantastic job of keeping our forest very healthy and I recommend them to anyone who has trees that they want to see stay healthy as well.

They did the work at the planned time. However they left the logs from the ash too close to the house. I attempted to get them to move the logs further back and to hire them for an additional job removing a large fallen limb. The contact person became very difficult to get hold of and twice failed to show up for estimates. For at least three weeks I put up with his non-responsiveness because of huge wind storm we'd had here. After he finally did the estimate I left a message to OK the job and again he didn't call back. At that point I canceled the smaller order and abandoned any attempt to have them move the logs. In a final conversation, his excuse for not calling to confirm the estimate was something like: "No hurry to call and tell you that it would take several weeks to get to."

THEY WERE FAIR AND DID A GOOD JOB. THEY ARE ACTUALLY STILL IN THE PROCESS OF FINISHING. I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE, BUT THEY ARE DOING A GOOD JOB SO FAR.

We have been generally happy with their work. They originally came out and saw the trees were concerned with and then either removed them or outlined strategies to save them. The tree removal went safely. Our only criticism is that they left behind a large pile of woodchips for us to clean up.

The work is excellent. I found them to be professional and punctual. I am very happy with their work. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

THE TREES WERE TAKEN CARE OF PROMPTLY. IT PROBABLY SAVED OUR CHERRY TREE FROM DYING. ALL THE OTHER TREES REALLY TOOK OFF THIS SUMMER. THEY BECAME FULLER, MORE RADIANT AND LARGER THAN EVER SO MUCH THAT WE WILL HAVE THEM COME BACK IN THE SPRING TO MOVE A COUPLE TREES TO ANOTHER LOCATION. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO USING THEM FOR OTHER JOBS ON OUR LAWN.

THE TECHNICIANS AS WELL AS THE HORTICULTURIST WERE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW AN ANSWER TO ONE OF MY QUESTIONS, THEY WERE WILLING TO FIND OUT FOR ME AND CALL ME BACK.(WHAT CAUSED SPOTS ON THE LEAVES OF THE PEACH TREES, OR THE BLACK SPOTS ON THE PEARS, WHAT TIME TO PRUNE AND HOW IS IT DONE.
