Your Pest Control expert in the Capital District About Family Pest Solutions is a Full Service Pest Control company owned and operated by Jack Johnson A.C.E. (Associate Certified Entomologist). Jack has 30 years of experience in the Pest Industry. His training and certifications include: AIB – America Institute of Baking certified, Purdue University – correspondence course, Texas A&M – Biology of Termite, ACE Certification – Associate Certified Entomologist. The combined training and certifications allow Family Pest Solutions to use the most advanced methods available to treat your home or business. Our service reports and recommendations will communicate our findings, our recommendations, our treatments, what to expect, and what we’ll do at the next service. Family Pest Solutions takes an approach to Pest Management called Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This service will allow us to inspect the home completely before treatment and design a customized solution for control and elimination, while being environmentally responsible and effective.

Great, after calling another supposedly high rated pest service to be told they would come out in 2 days for an estimate but not do the work for another few days, I called Family Pest Solutions. Within an hour Jack called back, I explained that a bunch of bees broke through the wall board and were swarming in the bedroom trying to get out the closed windows. He advised me exactly what to do (open windows to let bees out) and place a piece of tape over the small hole under the window sill where the bees broke through. I said I still would like a professional to come out so he promised a visit from Gary the following day, provided a very accurate and reasonable quote that was emailed to me immediately for electronic signature, and said the work could be done at that time. Solved the immediate problem with his guidance and put in place professional treatment the following day. Couple of hundred for the hive removal and another hundred to treat the entire two story house with spray around the foundation and all windows. They even treated the large shed in the back yard and took out a second ground hive in the garden. Immediate service A+, guidance to customer to handle an emergency situation A+ and price A+. Thanks Jack and Gary for a serious problem expeditiously solved. Will certainly use again, as needed! Thanks!

Jack, the owner, was very quick to respond to my e-mail. He eliminated 4 nests from my property, examined the exterior of the house, and sprayed the exterior of the house to deter other nesters. He arrived on time, was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would hire him again in a minute and recommend him to others.

Jack, the owner of Family Pest came right on time the day after my call and did a walk around and gave me an estimate. I considered it very fair and the next day his employee, Gary, came out and filled all of the holes on the outside of the house where mice might be able to get in. He also put 2 large traps outside and several areas inside my home. He was also right on time. They were both very pleasant and answered any questions I might have. They also sprayed around the targeted areas.

Jack and Matt were great. They displayed great knowledge of the causes of our problem and quickly came up with a plan that was affordable. There was a nest in the bedroom wall that was treated. The Basement Sill and Sill Plate where they were coming in was treated and around any damp places and water pipes. The full Exterior Foundation was treated around the house. I was very happy with the service , price and results. I have already recommended Family Pest Solutions to my family and friends. Fantastic! Jack picked up immediately and asked us to detail exactly what we were hearing and seeing. We agreed on a date and time, and Jack and Gary arrived on time and ready to investigate. Jack came the first time and explained about carpenter bees and gave us suggestions on how to treat - no charge for his time and advice. We called him again when we spotted moths in our home. He came and treated the whole house - they appear to be gone but he will come again in August to be sure. He was fast, responsive and very good. His price was reasonable.

Jack answered my call right away, arrived just when he said he would, did just what he said he would, and provided a written warranty for ongoing monitoring and care. I'm so relieved! Jack also treated the yard of a family member for ticks, using a kid- and pet-friendly substance - before the treatment, they had been finding several ticks a week on the dog, but not a one since! We intend to use Jack exclusively from now on.
