The room was constructed late fall 2014. We shopped several places for furniture in the Capital District and Mooradian's had the best selection. We started with Gigi but were assisted greatly by Annie. Spent 4 hours with her at one sitting while she patiently formatted our room on their computer with different possibilities of furniture pieces to be sure everything would fit nicely. She also was wonderful with choices of fabrics, wood, sizes, and shapes of individual units. Due to limited selections we shopped elsewhere for lighting and also reupholstery of an existing chair but consulted with her several times to be sure they would match with what we ordered from Mooradian's. Delivery of the furniture was at the far end of the estimated time frame with the exception of an area rug that is back ordered 2 months. Physical delivery was on time and done by 2 young men, Devon and Dominick, who couldn't have been more careful, polite, and cooperative. Our table was missing a leveler on one leg but they arranged to have it replaced within an hour of delivery. The overall experience was superlative.
Description of Work: Through their Clifton Park store aided us in selecting furniture for our new three season room and delivered same on 5/15/15. Pieces included a table with 4 chairs, 3 end tables, a swivel rocker, a love seat with a chaise lounge and cushions, and an ottoman.

It was a very nice experience. I needed a couch and loveseat in a short amount of time. Jason checked the stock and told me what was available within the time frame I needed it. Very helpful, not pushy at all. Also bought two end tables and a cocktail table the night before the other furniture was to be delivered. Although the warehouse was closed for the night, Jason managed to get it all delivered the next day, saving me an extra trip.

Sales was mediocre - seemed somewhat uninterested in my not spending so much money - $800 Problem with mattress set - defective YET I have to pay to have it taken away AND then that is deducted from my store credit. NOT to mention I will have to pay to have a new one delivered. I WILL say that the service person they sent out to check on the defects WAS excellent. He is basically the only saving grace. ONLY doing business here again because of the store credit. When I received a less than receptive acknowledgement from the sales person, I should have just left.

My husband and I are new to the Albany area. We recently purchased a new home and decided to purchase our living room furniture from Mooradians on Central Avenue in Albany. Gunner, the sales associate was pleasant. However, when it came to ordering our furniture, he proved to be less than competent. We ordered our furniture on September 6, 2012. Our furniture was scheduled to be delivered no later than November 4th. Gunner explained to us that this would be the "worst case scenerio" as the company usually completes its orders well ahead of schedule. This could not have been further from the truth. On November 3rd, a customer service agent informed us that our furniture would not arrive until November 8th. The November 8th delivery date came and went. Finally, we called on November 10th to check on the status of the furniture and we were told that it shipped from the factory on that day (Nov. 10) and that we could expect to receive our furniture in 7-10 days. Needless to say, our furniture did not arrive until November 30th, forcing us to cancel our Thanksgiving day plans. To add insult to injury, the WRONG chair and pillows were delivered, and another chair had a staple in the front of it. I immediately called the store to talk to the owner, Bill Mooradian, who was less than helpful but agreed to order a new chair for our home. The correct chair was ordered, however, when it finally arrived on December 19th, the legs were badly damaged (extensive glue and scuff marks) and one of the legs was shorter than the other (it did not even touch the floor). I spoke with Bill Mooradian again, who informed me that the chair could be fixed. Great.... except that I would have to miss work again, for the 4th time (once for the original delivery, once to remove the staple, once for the re-ordered chair delivery, and again to repair the re-ordered chair). I explained to him that the situation is completely ridiculous--Why pay this much money for furniture if the customer does not get what they paid for and has to miss work on several occasions to receive damaged and incorrect furniture? Bill Mooradian did not offer any sort of compensation--not even a store credit--for this awful situation that his company has put us through. Needless to say, Mooradians has lost a customer for life. We were planning to purchase several additional items for our home from Mooradians. However, we will NEVER do business with this company again. It seems that the company once had a great customer service reputation and that they are still trying to ride on this reputation, despite the fact that their customer service is horrible, at best (i.e., communication is severely lacking and Mr. Mooradian certainly doesn't care about his customers after an order has been placed).

The service was great. We had walked into the store and a sales professional came to meet us immediately. We told them what we were looking for and they showed us around. We picked out the sofa and they set the delivery time up.
