The service person was nosey and rude. A costly repair of a pump that he told me should have been cleaned out each year. The last time they were here, they never cleaned the pump, only tojd me to use bleach each month in it.

Work done was very poor and service was very poor.  New high efficiency furnace was to be
installed.  They attempted to install the furnace in February 2014.  However, after taking apart the existing furnace, they realized that I had a deck on the back of my house and had nowhere to vent the furnace.  So they reinstalled the existing furnace and left.  I had the work done to clear a path for the vent pipes and they came back in July and installed the new furnace.  They couldn?t install the spaceguard Air purifier that I was quoted for because apparently there wasn?t enough room.  They left the condensation line to drain outside near the AC.  The line froze in the winter and I had water in the basement. They came in and redirected the condensation line to the sump pump.
I spoke to the owner who assured me that they would take care of me when I needed a new AC unit installed.  A representative came out and took a look at the air conditioner and told me he would get back to me with a quote.  Two weeks later I called and the
representative who had apparently forgot about me and had not done any work on getting a quote for me.  So much for
being taken care of.  Enough is enough.  I am getting another contractor to do the AC install.  Lousy work, lousy service.

The workers were professional. We would recommend them. They came out and did it but then they had to order a part. So, there was a little lag there. But, when they did the actual work, it was two and a half hours.

It went well.  I've always liked their quality; they've only worked for me a few times but they were thinking of getting back to me and coming out.

The service was awhile ago, but I am looking for the same services and it made me think of my experience with Family Danz...The guy who came to do the work was awesome...I can't remember his name, but he does the service work in Saratoga County. The work was done fast, he gave me useful tips, and was an all around nice guy. His professionalism was excellent and deserved an A. My problem is with the professionalism of the company. A year after I had the service performed they sent me a "bill" for my annual service agreement, something I did not sign-up for. I know I did not agree to one, so the only explanation is that this is some sort of trick get you to hire them again because they sent you a "bill" for the annual maintenance agreement - kinda like when things auto renew and you don't realize . I would have hired them anyway based on the excellent service from their technician - but their sleazy attempt to get me to sign-up for a maintenance agreement put a sour taste in my mouth so we will never use them again. I would have appreciated a letter that reminded me it was a year since my last service as a tickler to make an appointment, but their tactic of sending a "bill" is down-right  sneaky. We have since moved and are looking for a new company to do the tune-ups.

"Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I really wish you had simply called our office and you could have spoken to anyone in our service department or you could have emailed any of us, or talked to me directly. ( Todd Danz ) I assume that the address you listed is a different address than the service was performed at? I do not see it in our system. regardless if you had us come out for a check up or tune up the cost is the same as a one year maintenance contract. What this means is that for no extra charge you get priority service, a discount on all repairs and no overtime rate for emergency calls all for the same price as a standard tune up. If we have not heard from you then we automatically send out a renewal notice and a reminder that its expiring and what the cost is to renew. We do not " auto renew" anyone without a request to do so. I apologize that this process was confusing to you. Again a simple email or a phone call and this would have been explained. I hope this helps, please feel free to contact me anytime via email or phone. 518-427-8685 or visit our website to email us at [member name removed] Thank you."

Mike Waterhouse was the salesman and he met with us and we signed the proposal on 7-25-14. We told him that we did not want to install the furnace until late September. He explained the whole process of the installation. He was also very knowledgable about the different types of furnaces and what we needed.  The  2 man crew came on 9/26/14. We had taken the cars out of the 2 car garage to give them unrestricted access to the old furnace. They showed up early around 7:30 am and began work right away. They took out the old furnace and disconnected the coil for the air conditioning unit. They installed the new furnace with a 4 inch box filter housing underneath so the the furnace can take a 1 inch filter which we were using on the old furnace or a 4 inch filter and reconnected the coil and equipment for the air conditioning.  When done they took out the old thermostat in the house and installed the new one and then tested the system. Testing the heat and also the air conditioning.. They put down runners in the house so that it protected everything. They were done before noon.  Recently, before they came I had cleaned out the garage. The reason I mention this is becuase they were a meticulous crew. There was no left over debris or cut metal pieces or screws. My garage was immaculate and cleaner than before they arrived.  When they were ready to leave they made sure that they had explained all about the system and answered all our questions. They were great guys, polite, professional and very meticulous workers. I thought we were done with the process until I started to fill out the paperwork for the National Grid rebates for the furnace and thermostat. It was kind of confusing. I called Family Danz and spoke with Erica, I realized I was missing a piece of paperwork when I printed off the forms from the National Grid website. She reprinted all the forms, filled out their portion and created a PDF file and emailed them to me. I printed them off and called her back and she helped me complete all the forms. I do not have enough good things to say about every person that I dealt with at Family Danz.  They gave us a lot of information, were excellent in setting expectations about the whole process and they were very friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you Family Danz. We also get a free service next year on the furnace. We chose Family Danz based on the recommendations from our neighbors.  They more than lived up to every good thing our neighbors had to say about the company.

MoreCalled with a problem told them a zone in the house was frozen, that they installed. Tech shows up and says yes it's frozen and says YOU NEED to thaw it out and we can add more glycol to the system, then proceeds to ask for a check for $100.00 service call I refused to pay it, UM HELLO I called you to fix the problem not confirm my diagnosis. They returned the following day today 1/9/15 for 1 hour and added 10 gallons of gallons of glycol to the system and charged me $551.00 plus tax!! Avoid this company at all costs!! So they got there $100.00 and some, but what comes around goes around, with service like this they will be out of business in the near future. Make sure you share your reviews here so no one else gets robbed by Family Danz. You know the old saying Family will Screw you first, I guess it's true.

We have an annual contract and we pay $200 for the year. It covers the annual maintenance but we get a 10% discount if we have an emergency and it also gives us some priority (like calling on a weekend). I think we don't have to pay overtime if we call them on a weekend. The technicians really seem to be very knowledgeable. They're on time and nice. We really like them. They have always been able to help us when we needed it. I remember we chose them because they were more reasonable.

Family Danz did an outstanding job. Initially, Mike W. came to our house to
determine our needs and give us estimates with full details.
Our installation appointment was scheduled for today....the installers were
right on time, worked for several hours, were very professional and
friendly, went over everything with us.They left the area immaculate.
I highly recommend Family Danz to anyone in need of their services.

Things went great with those guys. They did a great job. We will continue to use them for the service of our hot water heater and some other stuff. Mr Danz senior sent one of his technician over here on a Friday afternoon for about 4 hours, and he's working on the hot sun getting the air conditioning up and running. We will recommend them.
