I was so pleased with Farrell Bros..... it was a very hot today all of a sudden my A/C stopped working, I called to make an appointment they technician was at my house in 30 mins, fixed my issue and my A/C is working again. Jason was professional very thorough on finding out what the issue was. We will definitely use them again. Thank you Farrell Brothers

When I call 462-5454, the usual greeting is "It's a Great Day at Farrell Brothers!" and that's the attitude of everyone at Farrell Brother for the smallest problem, i.e. faucet leaking to Major Major work which we just had completed (surprised to learn their services had expanded beyond basic plumbing to masonry and rebuilding bathrooms and kitchens and more) The recent work involved excavating to locate the broken pipe and masonry done to replace the 3000 pound entrance step and sidewalk affected by probing for the pipe. Every detail is done expertly and completely by extremely capable Farrell Brothers employees ,with areas left neat and clean. We confidently put ourselves in Randy's hands as we and many others have been doing for 30 years!! To know you are working with Randy, honest, knowledgeable, reliable, reachable as he responds so quickly to phone calls is worth more than a dollar value. In an emergency, the call back is speedy--a reliable employee shows up after giving us a time frame and even working over time or on weekends. The attitude is highly professional. Our most recent favorable experiences mostly involved Randy, Eric , John, Bill and Christine. Tim and Tom we had some favorable communication with. Though I am a friendly person, I am someone who does not really like having people working around our home possibly getting in the way but each Farrell Brothers employee is so agreeable and neat, even with heavy equipment ( I called the excavator our sculpture garden!) they are a pleasure to have working here. I was impressed by how unobtrusively the work was done and we can relax knowing it was all done perfectly.

We had the toilets fixed. We also had a leak in our upstairs tub. They estimated it would take 2 workers to repair the leaking pipe and cost $1.000. One worker came and did the job in one day. He was very nice. When we called Farrell Bros asking if the price would be adjusted because it was not as big a job and only one person came they said no. They were not friendly and courteous but told us that was the price, and it didn't matter if it was a smaller job than estimated. It was our loss because we agreed on it previously. I assume they estimate very high and hope you will fall for their price which we did. Our mistake, but it will not happen again. We will never use Farrelll Bros again and would never recommend them. If you want avoid an outrageous cost DO NOT call them.

Didn't show up when expected but that is my fault. They had me in their computer but did not have out new telephone number. Therefore they could not contact us. They asked me if there were any changes and I told them no, everything was the same. I messed up and I could understand why they did not show up. They were prompt at the next appt. I don't remember the gentleman's name who did the inspection. I did not think he was professional. He was suppose to empty the hot water heater but did not have a hose to do it. Asked me if I had one. I couldn't understand this. The rest of the work was done as expected. I was told that the inspection would probably take about 2 hours but he completed it in about 1/2 hour. Couldn't understand this either. I think it was all done properly but I had no confidence in the worker.

He called to let me know that he was on his way. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself.

The installer took about an hour to perform the job and was very professional in showing me the maintenance of the unit. How to turn it on and turn it off.

This is a great, honest company that I have used twice. Before buying my current house, Farrell Brothers examined the heating system (based on the recommendation of our home inspector) and repaired a problem related to the conversion from propane to natural gas that a technician from another company had completed incorrectly. (The furnace was not igniting and burning correctly). More recently, they confirmed my suspicion that something was amiss with my a.c. and, after a great deal of troubleshooting, discovered an electrical problem. On both occasions, the technicians were prompt, patient, and reliable. They explained possible causes of the problems and always looked for the best and cost effective ways to address the problems. They are an honest company that doesn't try to sell more than is required and one that I will continue to use in the future. Highly recommended.

I contacted Farrell Bros based on prior service reccomendation. The plumbers are professional and answer all questions in a manner that is understandable. I have used Farrell Brothers four different times and received excellent service from four different plumbers. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves and were polite.

I learned of this company on Angie's List and utilized their services based on their favorable reviews. I've had several encounters with them over the last few years with mixed results. My early experiences were generally good. The scheduler was pleasant, the service person came within the four-hour scheduling window and was efficient and professional and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. One service-person even instructed me in how to flush the water heater myself if I preferred to save some money in the future. During one appointment, however, the serviceman came to my door with a bad cold (which he was kind enough to share with me), acted lethargic as though he'd taken too much cold medicine, and needed to be reminded to perform part of the service before he left. He then offered me his personal card in case I wanted him to do any plumbing work for me on the side. I've had a couple of pre-scheduled appointments, including today's, in which I heard nothing from the company during the four-hour appointment window. I called them at the four-hour mark of this appointment (which I had made two or three weeks ago) and was informed by "Tim" (who has a fairly snarky telephone manner - like someone who knows he has you over a barrel) that "yeah, we've been really busy with appointments today - I'll call (the service person) to see if he can get out to you and I'll get back to you". He called me back about ten minutes later to inform me in that same sardonic tone; "I've got bad news. We're not going to be able to get to you today". Now quite angry, I pointed out that I had scheduled the appointment weeks earlier and that this was the second time that I had been held captive in my own home for four hours without so much as a courtesy call to inform me that they wouldn't be able to make the appointment. "Now, now, hang on - I was just going to make this right - I was going to give you a discount ($50), and I would have called you by 5 o'clock if we couldn't make it". How considerate. Apparently, four hours (eight if you include the earlier appointment, or ten if you include the one-hour grace period they give themselves) of a repeat customer's time isn't worth much. They're lucky we can't charge them by the hour.

Installed new furnace, removed old furnace, installed new thermostat. Turns out they forgot to connect the AC unit to the thermostat, which we didn't discover until months when we attempted to turn on AC later on a hot day, but they sent a tech out within an hour to correct it and it has been fine since. Highly responsive.

It was fgreat, he was prompt and professional. He came and looked at it, left to get parts and returned promptly, Worked efficiently, and the cost was the price I was quoted. I would definitely use them again.

Farrell Brothers provided exceptional service and I've used this company more than once (annual furnace cleaning and check-up, shower drain replacement, an outside faucet replacement, fixing a clogged sink) and they've always gone above and beyond and they warranty their work. It went fine. I think they were a little overpriced. The inspection was fine. I had them do a little extra work besides that. The price was high but the work was fine. I would recommend them for the special big deal inspection.

The provider provided the service as I requested. I was just annoyed that after I ordered and set up a time for the tech to come to my home, the person I spoke to on the phone advised me that the $49 was for the tech to only come out there, not actually "service" the furnace as I had thought. As a first time homeowner, I was mislead, and I explained it to the man on the phone. He said we would work something out. After the tech performed the service and left, I received a phone call the next day from the company that he did not charge me accordingly and said that I owed them another $100, which I paid. I guess we weren't going to work anything out. I would have rather paid $100 for the same service from another company on Angies list that was advertising a furnace cleaning, instead of the $149 I paid this company. The tech also arrived 45 minutes late, but was friendly.

It turned out fine. He did the entire inspection for 45 minutes. There were no issues. I thought the price was very fair. The quality was good. He was right on time.

They came out to inspect it and try to snake the drain. When the 2 men couldn't fix the problem they sent another guy to go into the line to the street and removed the debris. I love this company. They have always been there when I needed them and have worked with me in many ways. I have recommended them to my neighbors and won't use anyone else to service my heating or plumbing needs. I used a coupon so I am not sure what the cost was. I think they were on time, but I don't remember and I don't keep track of those. They were good.

My furnace died on a Saturday night during one of the coldest weeks of the winter. I called Farrell Bro on Sunday morning and they replaced the furnace the next morning with a new energy saving model which I had requested. I was so thankful for their concern and quick response.

They checked to see if my hot water heaters were okay which took about 5 minutes. They then went to the rest of the house and examined the toilets and faucets and other parts of plumbing. They looked at everything and did the inspection and made recommendations, but I feel like it wasn't worth $99. I could've had any plumber come out and do the same thing for less.

he didnt do anything so it didnt go well at all. the gentleman was very nice, but nice does not give me heat.

My septic backed up into my basement back in December and I had my septic cleaning company jet out the blocked pipe. They came into the house to inspect the plumbing but obviously didn't do a good enough job as the blockage returned yesterday. This time I called Farrell Bros. Eric spotted problems right away. First, some of the plumbing wasn't braced properly and it settled over the years causing a back pitch. But the real culprit came when he opened the U-trap. The first side didn't show anything but when he opened the other side (unlike the previous contractor) he found a large deposit of hardened grout reside. I guess you can't wash grout covered buckets and tools in your laundry sink (or any residential sink for that matter). Lesson learned!!! It was definitely my fault and he could have made me pay dearly by replacing that whole section of plumbing, but he worked diligently to remove the grout and clear up the system, all the while instructing me on how to keep my system running more efficiently. Eric was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and great to work with. I wouldn't for a second hesitate on using him again in the future.

I woke up to a very cold house. I called Farrell brothers at 7 AM. Answering service took my message and told me I would receive a return call after business was open at 8 AM. (I declined to request an emergency response). At 8:03 AM my phone rang and I was able to request a service call in for that afternoon. The service tech showed up that evening (5:30-6:00 PM). He was able to quickly troubleshoot the problem and fix the furnace within 1 hour. He was very informative and showed me everything that he found and what was needed for repair. I was very satisfied with the response and the service provided. I would definitely recommend Farrell Brothers to anyone in need of HVAC service.
