Roofing
Despite saying the job wouldn't be subcontracted, he did subcontract the job to a third party. My house was burglarized. A wood burning stove and pellet stove was stolen. Because my roof was unfinished and my home was exposed to the elements, the roof collapsed into the second story bathroom. I was so upset that I called the Attorney General's office. I had to hire another contractor to complete the job. I wish that the state could put civil penalties on them, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. We are going to sue him in state court, and I am going to work with our state senator to see about enforcing stricter contractor laws.
