Anthony & his brother first installed hardwood flooring throughout our downstairs. They did such an excellent job that we had them come back & install hardwood flooring upstairs (including 14 steps) They were on time, clean, and very professional. Anthony, the owner, was wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend him.

Anthony, Pascuale and Justin did a spectacular job with extrordinary attention to detail. With at least 3 different types of hardwood in our house they all came out picture perfect. They were informative, friendly, prompt, professional and always gentlemen. I would go out of my way to recommend Acme for any wood project. Very reasonably priced as well. Bravo Acme!!

I give the highest rating to this business. Acme Wood Floors sanded and refinished more than 1,000 sq. ft. of hardwood floor in our house in four days. Pasqual, who was in charge of the project, talked about various options and helped us to choose the perfect color and finish for our hardwood floor. The team was accurate and diligent in covering and cleaning the working area from dust. The quality of work was superb and we were happy with the result. Acme Wood Floors were flexible in accepting different types of payments. Conclusion: I highly recommend Acme Wood Floors to anybody as reliable and high-quality professionals for floor projects and will use them myself for future projects in my house.

Acme did a fantastic, professional job refinishing our wood floors. The floors in our 1930's cape had clearly not been refinished in a long time and were in OK shape other than discoloration and what looks like some water damage in a few places. After Acme was done with them they looked new, they even got cleaned up the areas of water damage that we thought were permanently damaged. Everything went smoothly from estimate to completion with good communication throughout. They came back promptly to clean up two small drips of stain that were barely visible in the shadows on the stairs. They finished the job early, also.

Using Acme Wood Floors for our project was the best decision we could have made. The workmanship was first rate and our old damaged floors were given new life. Communication was great from estimate to project completion so we always knew how things were progressing. Highly, highly recommended.

Everything went smoothly and the floors look great. I appreciated it that they discussed the products they were using in depth and chose finish that retains the natural beauty of the 100 year old wood. They also returned and helped me get some furniture down from a closet shelf where it had to be stowed while they were working.

Anthony and his crew did a fantastic job refinishing floors in our living room, dining area, hallway, and stairs. They were very professional. Would recommend and hire again.

They are excellent. We have an old Colonial house, probably built around 1810, the pine floors were not well taken care of. About 2 years ago we had Acme sand & refinish the floors in the 3 bedrooms, plus the halls, stairs, and TV room. They did a fine job. So we recently had them back to do our downstairs living room, reading room, and library. Their work is impressive. To see the grain and texture of the wood, now sanded and polished, it's like looking at a work of art. I don't mean to keep raving about their work, but honestly, it seems so rare these days to find someone who really cares, who really take the time to make it right. They deserve every star.

Wonderful job, very helpful understanding what I wanted and helpful selecting plank size that would work with the house. Scheduled and done on time. I have already recommended Anthony to others. I would use him again with out hesitation.

They installed 1000 SF of hickory hardwood flooring in 5 rooms and a hallway covering entire first floor and removing carpet. They removed all moldings, where I was able to sand and repaint before they reinstalled them. Went over what was going to be done each day and how to deal with certain issues. Contact throughout the day with photos/texts/calls to make sure things were done the way we wanted it done. Cleaned up well after they were finished. The price was a bit high, but we did choose the most expensive type of flooring. But we got what we paid for, a fantastic looking floor that transformed our entire house.

Anthony was very accommodating. He squeezed me in to his schedule because he knew I was eager to move into my new home. His work was well done, and he clearly communicated the limitations of what he could do (old pet stain). The end result is beautiful, and I was not disappointed. I would highly recommend him.

I recently had wood flooring installed by ACME Wood Floors in my large upstairs family room (18 ft x 18 ft), in the upstairs hallway and the stairs going upstairs refinished. Fantastic! These guys were great. We had a tight time frame on when we needed to have things done by. They were able to fit us in, showed up on time, and did a great job on our floors. The total cost was right in line with the estimate they gave us. They also checked in after the floors were done to give us information on how to care for them and make sure we were happy with the floors.

2 week wait for install, seemed quite reasonable. On time, very professional, much attention to detail, and protection of rest of house. Matched existing floor wonderfully. Good instructions for continuing care of floor.

It went as smooth as could be. He started exactly when he said he would, and he finished on time. Mr. Littlejohn and his brother, who is also clearly a very skilled, hardworking and professional craftsman, did the job together with one helper. They did not subcontract with work out. The floors are beautiful, they disposed of the rugs and they left the house in immaculate condition.

I cannot say enough about these guys. They are professional from start to finish and have always recommended the appropriate work and finish to bring out the best in the old wood. They are always very accommodating and worked with my ideas to make the room look as it did when installed over 100 years ago. They are neat and removed all old flooring and made their best effort to keep the house clean while the process went on. I have used them before and will definitely Hire them again on my next project. They are very popular for a reason so plan ahead.

Excellent. They are like Old World craftsmen. The time, effort, and detail they put into their work was amazing, they really take pride in what they do.

Excellent. Anthony came to look at the job. He was professional, patient with my questions, and thorough in evaluating the job; and I could tell he knew a lot about hardwood floors. He shared all the possibilities--meaning with the carpet not removed, we didn't know yet what the floor would look like. He didn't candy coat it. I was glad because I needed to be prepared if the floor had staining or discoloration from the padding. I was confident that I wanted Anthony to do the job. I also liked the idea that it was a family business; with his brother Pasquale; they worked together in a respectful way, as a team, each having their expertise. They were like the parts of a clock, working together to put out a beautiful product! They also had an assistant the first day, Austin, stuck to business, worked efficiently and was a nice young man. These men were RESPECTFUL, kept everything cleaned and organized, hardworking, and plain amazing. When the carpet came off, Anthony brought to my attention imperfections, and let me decide which way to go with the floor. I was glad to have their thoughts, and advice, although they said it was my decision. I was disappointed when the stairs were uncovered, they had a lot of wear on the treads, I didn't see how they could be returned to any state of beauty. Believe me, they're gorgeous! Pasquale spent so much time on all the small details--he was a master. These men did not take a minute to rest, they also moved some pieces of furniture--with such care. No rushing, running around--true care, doing it the right and best way. They earned every penny they charged. They did everything they promised, and more. This was the 3rd job of a list of projects I'm having done, I haven't always chosen the best craftsmen, some disasters for sure. Not here. I trusted these brothers, had very little stress, because of their honesty and delivering what they promised. I really felt better about the human race after working with these great brothers. Great job! Thank you!

It went extremely well. I can't say enough good things about Anthony Littlejohn. He was always courteous, very responsive and proactive in communicating. He was flexible and very helpful. The work in my new home was very neat and looked great. He showed intelligence and initiative. In particular, when he removed the carpet in a room where we were putting our piano, he discovered a hump across the whole floor. He immediately called me. I went over and we discussed options and settled on a tentative plan to plane that joist and shim others. He proceeded to remove the subfloor and called me again. He said I'd better come over right away. He had discovered a structural problem the home inspector (RSP Home Inspections) missed although it would have been visible from the basement. This problem would definitely have led to the piano and floor collapsing onto electric cables, gas lines and the water heater. The probable consequences would have been catastrophic. I credit Anthony with a major save. Two thousand dollars of carpentry from another provider and Anthony was able to put down the oak floor in that room. It looks terrific.

As seen in the pictures below, they did not hold up, just a year later. I called Anthony to ask him to fix the spots. He did not pick up until I blocked my number. I asked him to come and fix the spots and would have paid for these services. Anthony said that HE DID NOT LIKE THE REVIEW I had previously written (see July 13, 2015), and actually pulled it up on his computer and read it to me! It was a four star review, but Anthony said HE DID NOT LIKE WHAT I WROTE AND WOULD NOT SERVICE MY FLOOR. He said because I wrote a poor review I was a liability. He did not answer any subsequent phone calls. At this point, I am really stuck. To have another person come in is very expensive. They would have to redo the entire floor as they do not know the product Anthony used and it is not their work. I cannot afford to redo the floors for over $2000 (I paid Anthony in full on the day the work was completed $2400). Anthony had assured me he always follows up with his work. To not return to even look at the floor because he did not like the review was beyond unprofessional. It is also extremely unfair to me. I was a good, full paying customer who trusted his integrity. The floor stained because the finish was poor and Anthony did not back his work. If you do hire him, better write a great review!!
