It was the work of consumate, amazing professionals. Everyone there is great at what they do, they show genuine concern, and they always seem to enjoy the nature of their work.

They took down the dogs history and performed an examination. The dog was found to currently be healthy. Future issues were pointed out to us. One being a small growth at the lower eyelid. If it grows, it will have to be removed. The second item were his teeth. They were worn down from something in his past. If or when they start bothering him, he will need dental work accomplished. At present, we will monitor the situation and proceed according to what might show up in the future.

We brought two dogs in for a first appointment in our new community. From opening the front door until the appointments were over, the staff and Doctors were so considerate and caring and instructional. It was later afternoon and yet our dogs were given full attention with no rushing of time. The facility, itself -- even late in the day, was spotless and smelled fresh and clean. We will definitely return -- we were very pleased and the dogs received first class assistance.

The staff at SW Vet are always friendly and know both me and my dog by name when I call. They are helpful and friendly, efficient and only a bit pricey--but you get what you pay for. I didn't need to see the vet this visit but he is very caring and always takes the time to answer any questions about my dog's health.

I like their availability. They get you in and are very good at followups. The call in to make sure your dog is okay and things like that.

The dental cleaning/tooth extraction went very well. My dog was sedated (using the best method of sedation for small dogs) and had his teeth clean, and several teeth removed. When I went to pick him up, the doctor explained everything that was done, and showed me pictures of everything—before and after pics, pics of the teeth that were extracted, etc. She showed me where in my dog's mouth the teeth were by using a model of a dog's mouth.
My dog was given antibiotics and pain medication with thorough after-care instructions. I do not think he had any pain with the medications, and he healed very well.
Dr. Rasmussen and the rest of the staff at Southwest Veterinary Hospital were professional, thorough, and took the time to explain all the details of my dog's surgery. I felt that my dog was in good hands—as I always do when I bring my dogs to this vet.
