We were very skeptical about buying a new house. However, this house was already designed and completed - move in ready.
Thus far, we had very responsiveness sales associate. The constructions super walked us through our home - was patient, thorough and very knowledgeable. Made advisement on how to handle our counters and what to avoid. He made sure that upon on move in the house was perfect and cleaned!
Upon final walk through - he had pre-inspected and caught items which to his eye needed to be redone -had the team there to complete it in the day. I was introduced to our warranty associate on site. Again, shocked at how professional and helpful the team was. I asked for a list of the plants and color of rock in yard for landscaping purposes and they produced it same day.
So far the service from Woodside has been beyond what I expected.

They were very good. They were always very attentive. After we moved in they worked on little things that needed adjusting. They went about it very nicely. This maintenance sort of thing for a year comes with the package when you buy your home. They just make sure that everything is right and we are going to be happy. Now they don't come at all. We have been here for a year and I don't think they do anything much beyond a year. They took care of little things like the hinges on the kitchen door that were installed wrong were corrected. There was water dripping in my husband's shower and they came out and worked on that. There was a hole and they had not filled it in well enough and so when it rained the whole area collapsed our side too, that was last Spring and they came and fixed it all. Again the side walk was broken and they fixed that too. They made everything right so that we will have no problem living here and we will be happy.

Overall, we had a good experience with the sales agent, various options subcontractors, escrow company, and warranty. What we were not happy with is how we were constantly bothered by dumping on the vacant lot behind us. Up till now, the lot is still vacant, and it is being used for dumping and storage. It created so much noise, dust, and disturbance to our life. Complaints did not seem to have worked.

Overall, we would rate our experience with Woodside Homes as average. We have worked with other builders in the valley, and while Woodside is not one of the worst, it's certainly not one of the best but more middle of the road. The sales agent was polite and friendly but not terribly helpful after we closed. Construction quality is satisfactory, and the customer service reps. are polite. It was not a bad experience but certainly didn't exceed our expectations in any way.

Woodside Homes did an okay job on our home. The house itself looks good, but they didn't level out the back yard the right way. When it rained the back yard got flooded and the fence was starting to sink into the ground. They told me it wasn't their job to fix the problem because there was no warranty on the yard.

During the walk through, they were still installing the bathroom tub upstairs and we had some complaints. The front door wasn't working properly, the bedroom doors weren t closing properly and still some of these things aren t fixed. Shortly after we moved in, I was filling the large jetted bathtub in the upstairs bathroom and the water did not seem to be getting any higher after running for twenty five minutes. I was not sure what the problem was, but when I went downstairs, the water had been draining into the downstairs bathroom and bedroom through the walls. This was an enormous mess. I called the builder, and they were quick to respond to evaluate the situation. There was damage to the walls, ceilings, and flooring in these areas. The builder is still repairing the damage from the water, which seems to take a long time with the sub contractors they are using.

Woodside Homes have been very professional and helpful during all our concerns with our new home. The house is beautiful with self-sufficient desert landscaping and we had a few minor things we called them out for, like wall outlets not working properly. They were very quick to answer all our concerns; so far, no real problems have come up. If in the future if we do have any problems, we have a warranty that the company has been great to honor so far.
