Ultra came out on an American Home Shield warranty request and "found nothing wrong" with our unit despite not going up on the roof or into our attic. He just wanted to use his laser thermostat and said the unit was working, however I have my own laser thermostat and our readings were 11 degrees apart. Where our unit is blowing out hot air his read 67 degrees and mine read 78. We went to the functional unit cooling our kitchen area and with the thermostat beside us set to 65, his read 51 degrees and mine read the air coming out was 63 degrees. He said my device must be old or not calibrated so I said "let's put that to the test" and pointed it at my palm and my unit read that my skin was 87 degrees. When I pointed his at my hand it said my hand was 76 degrees... in a 79 degree room... with my 98.6 degree blood under it... he got ****** off and walk out our door and submitted the paperwork to AHS that our unit was functional, but inefficient and old. I believe this is because that's what AHS wants to hear from it's vendors so homeowners have to pay entirely for their own a/c repair or replacement. Remembering that I am shutting my a/c unit off at the BREAKER at this point and our bedrooms are 82-86 degreed at night and the air coming out of our unit when we switch it off and the fan stays on is over 100 degrees. How is this a working unit???? These guys are crooked and AHS is as well! Someone should file class action legal action!
Description of Work: Our a/c fan wouldn't turn off and our a/c wouldn't blow air out cooler than 78 degrees.
