They were great they came down gave me an estimate came up. Try to get everything done ASAP on in two days. They redid the whole yard and there’s a lot of trees and bushes to get taken care of they came in. I think they were very professional would hire again.

I called ahead and got the hourly rate. It was difficult to get through, but when I did the woman seemed nice and careful to explain that it would cost more if the guy had to climb the trees to trim them. I agreed since of course that would be true. However she named a fairly low hourly cost, which compared to other yard work on Angie's List would equal about 6-8 hours with them to be of equal cost. I knew that we were only doing our tiny front yard on the street done, so it wouldn't take NEARLY that long.
I was right. The guy came, trimmed some not very large (less than 10-year-old) palm trees of the bottom branches only, blew the loose leaves (didn't do a great job since lots were left), cut the tops off of 3 very small potted roses and even with seemingly trying to stretch it out, only stayed less than 3 hours total. I was sick in bed, so my husband paid him, and when my husband asked the guy how much, he said "she said to charge $200" which was way more that we had agreed on! The woman I spoke to on the phone (Janet I believe) apparently wanted $200 no matter what and had told him to get that, even though it should have been MUCH less with so little work done and under 3 hours!
The rest of the businesses I had considered were $180-$199 with AT LEAST four hours worked. I hadn't even considered that it would take nearly that long for such a tiny yard and little to do! VERY big ripoff! Beware of difference from what the woman tells you it will cost and what she tells them to charge you. Very shady business!
*Update* Janet called after almost exactly one month--I couldn't remember what hourly amount she had quoted me on the phone, so I told her I'd check my records. However she continued to insist she had told me $75 an hour (my records show she had quoted me under $50, except $75 during the time spent climbing the trees if necessary.) She wouldn't stop badgering and arguing with me, cutting me off no matter what I said. At the time I had scheduled with PD Landscaping, I had other companies saying they would do $200 for 4 hours, but since our yard was so small I wanted someone like PD Landscaping who charged by actual time spent. However her guy told my husband that she said to charge $200 anyway. And she stated that my "husband was extremely happy" which wasn't true, not that she'd know since she wasn't there and couldn't be reached afterwards (claiming she didn't get my messages) and not bothering to reach me for a month! If she bothered to come by and see our tiny front yard which looks pretty much the same except for a few leaves gone, and the LOWEST branches of the young palms trimmed, I think she would understand why I wasn't happy with the price instead of harassing her customers!

Response from PD Landscaping
"I finally reached (Members name removed) after several attempts. I reiterated that I quoted her $75 an hour with a 1 hour minimum and $50 for each palm tree if we had to climb them otherwise they would be included in the hourly rate. They were there for 2 hours and climbed two palm trees which totals $250. I only charged her $200 which was an error on my part. We always ask our customers if they are happy before we leave any job site and her husband said he was very happy with the service. She never called to question the price so I was very surprised top see this review."

All work professionally performed within the time quoted. Appointments easily scheduled. I have used PD Landscape for 8 years. Landscaper Danny and crew are very knowledgeable, skilled, and finish their work in a professional manner . I have specific requests and prefer hand pruning over hedger trims. They always come through for me. Prices are very reasonable.

I have been very satisfied with my experiences with P D Landscaping. The service providers are very nice. They call me before they come. He will do anything I ask him to do. They do a very good job on my lawn. I will continue to use them for future lawn care.

I was living in a rental with my first encounter with PD Landscape and just needed the HOA in the community to stop sending hate mail about out of control shrubs and weeds. I found PD Landscaping online in the Yellowbook. I called the service and got a quote of $75/hour. The next day the crew showed up, did the job and let me come out to check it out. They were very nice, professional and quick for a large front and side yard of weeding, mowing down unruly shrubs and raking gravel it took them under an hour. I did use them a second time and it costed more because they also repaired some irrigation issues. Since then I referred them to a friend and she loves them as well. Big time work done, with little dough!! Now I am a homeowner and I wish I had used them when I had my backyard done...next time for sure!!

PD Landscaping will not return to finish or repair the problems. I have dead spots, uneven turf, sprinklers broken, and large divets in my sod. I have made 6 calls and no one will come out. They do not say they won't come, they say they will be out on a certain day but never show up. We stayed home from work each time. They left a pile of top soil and dead sod in my front and back yard for over a month and a half. This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with in my life. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

P D Landscaping gave us a good desert landscape design and did a good job installing it in our yard; however, they had rotten follow up. We thought they were suppose to maintain the yard and its design for us on a regular schedule, but they were very inconsistent. Rather than tell us they did not want the maintenance work, they'd show up some weeks and not on others, so we fired them.
