I failed to ask for an estimate. He failed to give us the full discount; he said he only gives $20 to Angie's list clients after I checked online. But he did go beyond the call of duty in that he fixed two chandeliers that were installed poorly by adjusting the links so I didn't quibble. Kevin is a fine person and he is just a pleasure to be around. He is conscientious and competent. If you are a woman living alone, this is the man to do your electrical work as he is a true professional.

Kevin was terrific from beginning to end. He came in and did a walkthrough with my husband and I, then promptly faxed us a proposed estimate within 1-2 days. He worked with us to eliminate some items and help bring the cost down, honored the $25 Angie's List coupon we had, then showed up when he said he would. He not only did the work we previously agreed to on the proposal, but threw in replacement bulbs for the hood over our stove at no extra cost. In addition, the art light he installed didn't hit the painting perfectly and he volunteered to knock $50 off the total price (without my even asking)! He was respectful and pleasant the entire time, and I would NOT hesitate to recommend him or use him again in the future. I chose him because of his A rating and now he has another customer giving him an A rating!

The appliance repair technician had already eliminated my dryer as the problem and told me I needed an electrician. I called O'Connor Electric mid-morning and he arrived mid-afternoon after advising me by phone of his arrival time within 20 minutes. He started checking at the breaker box and worked his way back. Thankfully the problem turned out to be a crossed wire at the outlet causing it to deliver 120v instead of 240v. He uncrossed the wires and my dryer was drying once again. Moral of the story, call an electrician, not your brother-in-law if you need a dryer outlet with a different configuration.

After finding Kevin on Angie's List, I called and left a message. He returned my call within 1-2 hours and was available to come out the very next day. Kevin showed up promptly, even a bit early. I explained what I needed and he said he'd be able to fix it on the spot. A friend had attempted to do me a favor by running an exterior outlet for my new landscape lighting. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and what I ended up with was a really long extension cord because he couldn't get the new outlet to work. Once Kevin got in there and took it apart he commented that there was no way this outlet was ever going to work the way my friend had wired it. He quickly made the changes, explaining everything to me along the way, testing his work and showing me the test results. He explained which part of the outlet would still work in the office and which part would feed the exterior outlet. We then went outside and plugged in the transformer for the landscape lights. Kevin was kind enough to take the time to train me on how to set the timer, manually turn the lights on and off and troubleshoot non-working lights. I will call him again in a heartbeat if I need any kind of electrical work done. He really knows his stuff and he's extremely helpful and patient with questions.

Called his number listed here and left a message. He called back later that evening to schedule an early Saturday morning appointment. He called ahead on Saturday when he was on his way and arrived on time. He did the work in the time he had estimated and charged me the price estimated. He was very friendly and helpful throughout (telling me how best to use the fans' functionality, etc.). He was also easily the lowest-priced handyman for what I needed. Other handymen seemed not to consider the fact that two of the fans were already hanging in their estimates.

He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I did have to wait on returned calls but he was very responsive when I had to call him. I feel he was very professional and didn't think that his prices were out of line, but I was lucky enough to find another company that did a high quality job at a better price. I would still consider using this company in the future due to his professionalism and his complete attention to detail. My first impressions with him were great. When you make the initial call and you leave a leave a message, although you may have to wait, it's worth it.

From beginning to end, our project went beautifully. Kevin O'Connor is an honest, professional businessman who gave us a true estimate of the work, and the timing involved. When we first called his office, we were given a time when he would call back, and he did. Over the course of the project, he came to our home several times at our convenience. He was careful, instructive, personable, and left an immaculate job site after each visit. We would highly recommend him for any electrical project. His work was as good as it gets.

Our spa had stopped working due to improper installation. The wrong breakers had been installed (more like shoved) into our breaker box. (Our home was purchased resale and the previous owners could not be contacted. Our home inspection is another issue.) I had two other repair men look at the breaker box; one said he wouldn't touch it because the job was beyond his knowledge, the other said all the wires to the spa breaker box also needed to be replaced and quoted me $280 for the job. I called O'Connor Electric and Kevin came out the next day. He said the wires were fine, only the breakers needed to be replaced. He completed the job in a very timely manner, made sure the spa was working again, and gave me some maintenance advice for the spa. He seemed knowledgeable and was very courteous. The spa has been working well for over a month now. Next time I need an electrical repair, I will call O'Connor Electric the first time!

I called for an estimate. He came out on a Saturday as scheduled. He provided an estimate for the work which I thought was a fair price, so I made an appointment for him to do the work. He came out as scheduled and completed the work in about 1 1/2 hours.

Tuesday 6/19 he came by for a free estimate, he did not have a ladder tall enough to determine issue with TV, but estimated $250 for the 3 jobs. The phone line and the electrical socket were $75 each which seemed excessive. I said we would just get the TV issue fixed at this time. He stated he was busy until 6/22 or 6/25. He did not call with a date or time so I called on Friday and left a message asking when he would be by. I called again on Monday and left a message again. Today is Tuesday the 26th and there has still been no return call.

AFTER I GAVE HER THE ESTIMATE I SUGGESTED TO HER I COULD START RIGHT THEN. SHE STATED SHE HAD TO LEAVE SO I SUGGESTED I COULD START THE NEXT DAY, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20TH. THE MEMBER STATED SHE WOULD GET BACK TO ME BY WED. MORNING TO LET ME KNOW. SHE CALLED ME WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TO TELL ME SHE HAD OTHER PLANS. I STATED I WAS BUSY ON THURS & FRIDAY WITH EXISTING CUSTOMERS & I HAD TO GO OUT OF TOWN SAT. THROUGH MONDAY. SHE AT THIS POINT STATED SHE MIGHT CALL ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK. I TOLD HER TO LET ME KNOW. WHILE I WAS OUT OF TOWN THE MEMBER LEFT 2 MESSAGES ON MY MACHINE ASKING WHEN I COULD START. I CALLED HER ON TUESDAY, JUNE 26TH & REMINDED HER THAT I HAD LET HER KNOW I WAS GOING TO BE BUSY THROUGH JUNE 25TH. AT THIS TIME NO CONTRACT HAD BEEN SIGNED & WE BOTH DECIDED IT WAS IN BOTH OF OUR BEST INTERESTS NOT TO PROCEED WITH A CONTRACT."
