O'Connor Electric

It was an expensive lesson for me but not the fault of O'Connor Electric. He trouble shot the situation and had the equipment to do it. He was also going on the information that I knew where all my GFI outlets were located. When we could not find the source he told me to check in an unknown place that they sometimes put an outlet. In the master Closet behind clothes. It seems this one outlet worked the outside outlet because all other lights and sockets worked. Good person.

Came on time, diagnosed the problem, fixed it right away.

Excellent work. The office was not pre-wired for a ceiling fan. He was able to mount the fan without any distruction of wall or ceiling plaster and wallboard. The exterior work was done using standard conduit. The mounting looks great and the conduit itself is easily hid with some paint. Having some experience with electrical installation, I can say that he is very professional and takes pride in doing the job right.

Kevin came on Thursday to give us an estimate. He came on Friday to do the work, but was slightly de-railed by an emergency (ours was not) call and asked if he could come back later that day or the next to finish the job. He came back later the same day and finished. He did an outstanding job. Kevin is knows his stuff, his estimate was spot on, he was polite, not rushed but worked rapidly, and the job was well done. This man even offered to fix our sprinkler system, unasked! We will welcome him back whenever we need electrical work done.

After a negative experience with another electrical contractor, I contacted Kevin O'Connor from Angie's List. We made an appointment for a free estimate. Kevin arrived promptly on the day and time indicated. He indicated that the current panel box was no longer available due to the age of the house. Kevin further indicated that he would have to research the availability of another box that would fit after some modification to the space. He would then fax me the estimate. The next day I received the estimate. I felt that the cost was fair and called Kevin to make an appointment for the installation. Kevin called me on the evening prior to the installation date to confirm. The next morning he arrived promptly. Although the main power was turned off, Kevin provided some power to the house for refrigeration etc.The job was completed in 4.5 hours which included a complete cleanup. Kevin is an honest professional and I would recommend him to everyone.

After having the job turned down by another electrician it was wonderful to finally get a fan installed in a difficult location. Very happy that I consulted Angie's List and made the call!

Mr. O'Connor was at my front door 20 minutes after my call. He went right to work and found the problem immediately. It was a simple fix, but not something we could have comfortably done on our own. It was obvious that neither of us knew anything about our electrical system. We could easily have been taken advantage of and have been in the past. Mr. O'Connor is truly an honest and capable professional.

The first bathroom light fixture installation took some time & effort, but the second two went more smoothly. I wanted the white electrical plates to be changed to brown. After Kevin finished I realized that most of the outside of the plates were black not brown. They are close in color, but there is a difference. Kevin returned the next day to install brown plates. Unfortunately he did not bring enough so he had to come back the following day. I told him he was becoming part of the family!! We decided to replace the pendant lights since we couldn't find the correct parts to try to repair them. Since these lights need to be ordered, Kevin will return to install them when we receive them.

I called Kevin and he answered right away. I explained that I wanted to talk about my electrical dillema and he offered to come over when I was available to see what I needed. I explained to him that my breaker box was on the west side of the house but I needed 240v on the east side of the house for a new pool pump I was going to get. Kevin listened to me and then told me what he could do for me then gave me a quote. He started the very next Saturday. He put in new breakers for the 240, ran conduit from the breaker box down around the bottom of my house, up the side to the second story attic, through the attic, down the other side of the house to a new breaker box that he installed. He did a very nice job with the conduit. He put in a new breaker box on the east side of the house that has a 120v breaker and a 240 volt breaker. He also put in a new timing clock that would work with the new pump. Since I didn't have the new pump yet he went ahead and wired my 120v pump so that it works as does the timing clock and the salt generator. So my electricity is ready when I get the new pump and I'm very happy. He also checked my GFI to the pool and verified it was a problem with the pool light. He had to do the installation over a period of time (a few days) because we had such a bad rain - but I didn't care since we haven't ordered the pump yet. When he finished his work (I was at work) he showed my sister how everything worked and that it worked alright and taught her how to use the new timing clock and everything. I would definitely hire Kevin again. He was completely professional, helpful and not condesending. He was so forthright with ideas of what to do and knew what he was talking about. It helps that he has a pool also and understands how all those pieces work together. My sister also commented that he was very nice and professional.

Kevin arrived early. He showed me that this outlet was on gfi as law repuired. He showed me that old gfi breaker outlet was in bad shape and replaced it. He than made the outlet that I was complaining about a gfi breaker outlet. This allowed him to be able to rewire so my freezer outlet would stay hot even if a gfi tripped. He than disconnected my outside wiring ( that was causing the gfi to trip in the rain ). He explained how I could now install new outlets outside when the rain stopped. He showed me the parts I would need to purchase to upgrade my outside outlets. VERY thorough, knowlegeable, friendly. Will defenately use him again and refer him to others. Don't think you can go wrong.

I am usually skeptical when hiring outside services and usually feeling like I didn't get enough for the price, however, Kevin did a great job and was priced fairly. I will definitely use him again for a much larger project.

Kevin responds promptly and is punctual. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in a timely fashion. I would recommend O'Connor Electric.

Kevin was very responsive and professional. He gave me honest advice regarding all the little fix-its I was asking him to address. He was quick, efficient and friendly. I'll be calling him again.

Mr. O'Connor orginially scheduled me for Friday afternoon, but warned me that he was very busy that afternoon and that he could be late. He ended up calling me and asking if he could reschedule and offered to come out on the weekend. We rescheduled for Sunday morning and he was on time and the work was completed very quickly.

My spa/pool lights were not working so I called on Friday to schedule an appointment. The person who answered said they would call me back the same day and let me know when they could come. They called back the same afternoon and left a message letting me know the service call would be on Tuesday. When I called the next day (Saturday) to confirm the appointment, he actually said he could come out tomorrow (Sunday) and I was surprised yet pleased they could come out that fast AND on a Sunday! He said he would be here between 9 and 10 am and sure enough he was very prompt. He was only here about 40 minutes but fixed the problem and showed me exactly what he had done to do so (replacing the GFI outlet). I was pleasantly surprised when he was finished and presented me the bill for only $131 which is less than other companies had quoted me. Plus, I had the Angie's list coupon for $25 off so I only paid $106! I will highly recommend O'Connor Electric for their prompt, courteous, quality service.

I called Kevin on Sunday evening after my parents reported their circuit breaker was hot to the touch. This was affecting their air conditioning. You don't want to be without AC in the summertime in Las Vegas, and especially not when you are elderly and in poor health. I was also concerned about possible fire risk. I called Kevin, but he was booked up for Monday. The matter could not wait until Tuesday though, and I explained my reasons as above, and then asked Kevin for a referral. Here is where good old fashioned customer service shone. Kevin drove to my parents house Sunday night to checked out the problem, and ultimately fix the problem. I highly recommend him based on my experience.

I called O'Connor Electric in the morning and the technician was at my house that afternoon. He was very personable and considerate. He was very tenacious in figuring out what the problem was and was able to fix it. He offered to clean up the little mess which had occurred from taking the outlet covers off. He had explained the costs upfront and that is exactly what he charged upon completion.

With the temperature being around 108 degrees that day here in Nevada, my fish could well have died without the cooling effect of flowing water from that sump pump, which I would never have thought of without his advice. I was very, very appreciative that he came so quickly on a Sunday. I have been a customer of Mr. O'Connor for quite some time, and I recommend him wholeheartedly. He has a very pleasant disposition in addition to his superior competency.

What a novel idea Kevin has in Vegas, he will actually return your call promptly, shows up on time and was less money than originally quoted!

Kevin showed up on time, and was a very personable person. We had chatted for quite sometime and finished everything that I asked. Ceiling fan works great, and the broken light switch works. He does the job the right way meaning no shortcuts. He answered all of my questions with respectable answers and was very polite. I would recommend Kevin to anyone who needs a great electrician!

I would recommend Kevin to other people looking for an electrician. He returned initial phone calls quickly and was very flexible with working with my time schedule....he came out on a Sunday morning to do the work for me!

Mr. O'Connor arrived ahead of schedule and almost immediately found the source of my electrical problem. He removed the faulty outlet and showed me the obvious, burned area as the source of the problem. He then promptly replaced the outlet and as promised, my microwave and hallway lights were all working again.

Mr. O'Connor is very pleasant, made an excellent choice for my new lights, mounted everything neatly and properly, and showed me that everything was working properly before he left. This is the second time I have hired Mr. O'Connor.

He checked everything and discovered an additional GFI circuit I didnt know about. It was a simple fix that thankfully, didnt cost a lot.
