Work was good but price/cost was very high for a 15 minute job.

I called NOW electric because my bedroom smoke detector was beeping and after changing batteries it continued to beep. They came out and Jerome told me that the detector was no longer any good and that it needed to be changed. I asked him how long does wired detectors last Jerome told me usually 6-8 years and I informed that I had four of these and should I change them all and he recommended I should.  I asked him how much would that be and he quoted me a price of $121.00 per detector with detector, parts and labor. I told Jerome I had the detectors and he said $49.00 per detector and I told him "ok" and  I also had a coupon of 1st time customer of $30 dollars off and he said "ok" and he wrote up the beginning paper work and got started. He changed out all 4 smoke detectors, changed out the electric wires that came with the smoke detectors and the base. When he was finished Jerome finished writing up the paper work for my job and the final cost to me was $171.75. I think the price was kind of high to replace 4 smoke detectors because he was here for about 10-15 minutes at most. No major electrical work was done... I think if you are supplying the materials that should be taken more into account. I would have been happier with $39.00 per detector. I understand you have to pay for expertise with all of that being said, I will use them again.

The electrician (Juan) arrived 10 minutes early. He was very polite and professional. He quoted me the cost and after I agreed he got his tools and installed the fan. The fan needed balancing and he knew exactly how to do it.  Juan did a excellent job.  This is the third time I have used now electric. They don't mind doing small jobs and there electricians do excellent work.

I called Now Electric in the afternoon and they sent an electrician over within the hour, found the problem and fixed the breaker.  He took some time to clean the panel box.  Excellent work.

The power went out in my home at night during a storm. I called Now Electric and I got an answer to my call and had my power restored within the hour.

Whoever answers the phone was very courteous. They were timely. They appeared knowledgeable. I am very happy to find somebody that we would like to call back a second time.

I'd had three people look at it and nobody could get it working and he did. After it was installed, it had never worked. He was really good. His name was Jerome. The diagnosis fee was $422 and had a flat rate charge of $427. There was a discount for Angie's List members. He was terrific. He told me what time he would be here and he was here. I was thrilled. I'd had it up in 2 other houses so I knew that it would work. I think the other guys shorted it out. He was very quick to come out. The price was what electricians charge. I would use him again.

When replacing the main breaker on my tenant's house they left the power out for two days. I called Now Electric each day but they said it was too late to get the power company out there to turn the power back on. The problem is they could have called the power company on time. When I escalated the issue to a manager he admitted there was no reason the power should have been left off over night either time. Angry tenants cost money! The office staff seemed responsive but the electrician in charge of the job was a major failure. The electrician also put an industrial sized breaker box that is four times the size of the original. Not only does the large box look horrible, but it also doesn't fit in the original spot and I think I was charged more for the larger size. For over $3,000 you'd think they would take the job seriously. I will never use Now Electric again which is too bad because I own three homes and growing. I'm not a slum-lord. I need to make sure my tenants are taken care of like family. However they did a good job replacing the main breaker at my friends house so I don't know why they failed me.
