I REGRET hiring this company. The ONE star reviews are 100% accurate. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish we had never entered into contract with these guys. Our project is still INCOMPLETE after FIVE MONTHS. The entire team, starting from the owner, Steve, to the Sales Manager, Mark, and Office Manager, Jasmine, have all shown an appalling lack of professional customer service. Dishonest practices such as blatant lying, and the audacious imposition of additional, unexpected fees after project commencement have been the hallmarks of my experience with them. Not only did they inflate the price twice, attributing their mistakes to me, but they also demonstrated a profound lack of respect for my property. They set up their saw near our brand new pool and spa, leading to cement dust settling in and causing rust stains everywhere on the new plaster and tile. When confronted about the unacceptable 5-month delay, the owner, Steve, dismissively attributed it to a labor issue they've supposedly been experiencing for the last five years. This explanation, if one can call it that, seems a flimsy excuse to cover up their lack of efficiency and professionalism. RUN FOR THE HILLS AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We would rate lower if we could. This company is not in any way customer service oriented and they could care less. (1) It took 2 months to get a quote from them. When we finally decided to go with them because they had the best price for what we wanted done. (2) They encouraged us to use Vegas Granite for our counter tops as they promised free cutting boards from the left-over quartzite which we had plenty. We never got them. They told us to contact them directly even though we didn’t pay them directly. (3) It took them to install 3 different water heaters under the sink, even though we told them we needed a large amount of hot water to do dishes. They didn't understand nor care about what we wanted. (4) We told them the concrete floor was for an eat in kitchen and was to be at the same level as existing concrete. They chose to put a steep grade and deep grooves in 4 places. We told them we had to slide chairs over those grooves and they promised to fill them with epoxy. They never did. (5) We told them we wanted the refrigerator installed with trim; which I agreed to pay for, they did not order it at first and when they did, they claimed it was out of stock. Now the refrigerator does not have trim and still has not been leveled. They now don't return text or emails since they have their money. Get their verbal promises in writing because they cannot be trusted to deliver them. I cannot recommend anyone doing business with this company since they don't take care of their customers’ needs and wants.

November 2021, I did an agreement with Made in the Shade Patio and BBQ to build me a patio Cover 10' x 23' out of aluminum for $8k with a lifetimewarranty. The Patio Cover suppose to take 5 to 7 weeks plus 2 to 3 weeks HOA approval to be built, they finished after 8 months 9July 20220, always excuses for the delays. Now on the first week of November 8, 2022 the patio cover was leaking all around the edges and one panel, and spoke with the owner of the company, got scheduled for the next week Tuesday or Wednesday on my days off, never show up or answer the phone anymore. Call his office and scheduled another appointment for the following Wednesday.

Excellent in planning, completion of project, and follow-up. I encountered 3 issues during installation, and they were all promptly and satisfactorily addressed during the install. John ensured that all issues were addressed and also worked around our schedule.

Working with John first in designing of the project for size and shape and then going over where

to put doors and drawers, etc was great. He gave good advice and was also very helpful with picking tile colors.

The project was absolutely gorgeous and helped to turn my backyard into my favorite place.

I have received compliments from friends, neighbors and even other trade people working at the house.

The design and build quality are amazing. We were pretty particular about what we wanted but John brought in some great ideas. Only downside, is he's very busy. So it took a little longer than it might have. But overall very pleased.

Everything went as planned. We ran into some confusion over the wiring of the switch inside that operated the fans and lights, but it was worked out right away. The workers were quick and efficient and we are happy with the cover overall.

John, George and Crew ALWAYS arrived on time from first meeting for bid to completion of job. All permits were pulled and signed off complete. Every detail was taken care of. Job site was clean. Patio Cover came out better than we expected. Great Job

This crew knew exactly what they were doing. The appliances were just fine, but they had to take everything apart and rebuild the support pieces. Their workman had a great deal of experience working with outdoor kitchens, because it is what they specialize in. It took about three days for them to finish, and we are happy with the results. We should have called Made in the Shade right away.
