"Thank you for taking the time to review our company. I am sorry that you found the visit not to be to your satisfaction. I left a voicemail for you. Please give me a call when you can so that we can find a solution. I look forward to speaking with you! Jeremy Anderson General Manager 702-324-6392 cell"
I decided to call a couple of other AC companies and have them look at the coil and fan motor before deciding on what to do. I also spoke with a friend about it and he is the one who stated the coils will show freezing when exposed to the outside air for too long.
At this point, I will probably get a new unit even though they said this one could last a year or 5 years, but the seed has been planted and don't want to face it going out when the temperatures are in the 110 degree range. I will most likely go with another company that will get a bigger unit for less money and still have a tax credit.
I paid $79.00 through the special on Angie's list but then paid an additional $49.00 for the service provided which would extentd the twice a year service for the $79.00. Since I am not going to use this company I would like a refund of the $79.00.
"Thank you for talking to me today! I look forward to visiting with you about your options! Jeremy Anderson General Manager"
After Casey repaired the fan and tightened the duct work spot in the attic the house now cools better than it ever has. The house was new construction in 2007 and has NEVER worked as well. we are seniors living is a senior community. I highly recommend Aire Serv for HVAC work. The price charged includes a fall furnace inspection fee.

"We are so glad you had such a great visit! Thanks for taking the time to review our company!"
"Thank you for choosing Aire Serv for your cooling and heating needs!"
When Casey started checking our Air Conditioners, he said it needed a part that had been installed on the previous Spring service. It did not need the part since it was working. The part helps the A/C unit to start up when it comes on.
We had Yorks 10 year warranty on these two A/C units. Since our 10 year warranty with York has expired.
I felt that now I was going to be told it need parts when they were not required. It gave me an uneasy feeling since my warranty expired, that everything was going to go wrong with these two A/C units . My warranty covered parts and labor at no additional cost, if it need it. I paid $450.00 for each A/C unit for the warranty. All that was required was, one service per year for this warranty to be implanted. These A/C units have been maintained very well since we have had them.
I have used Air Serv Heating And Air Conditioning for 40 years with excellent service up until now.
I had talked my neighbor across the street to buy this warranty when I did. Of course her warranty expired the same time as mine. She ask me to scheduled her Spring and Fall service when I scheduled mine. She had a similar problem as I did with her Spring service.
I am not a Air Conditioning Technician. I am an Engineer. I know enough when I am not being told the truth.
"We are so sorry you didn't have a good visit with us this time! We certainly appreciate you having been a client since the Superior days! I have left a message on your phone and would like to discuss this visit with you. Please give me a call at your convenience. Jeremy Anderson General Manager 702-324-6392 cell"
What was to say if it even needed a repair? What if just a wire was loose, or if it only need recharging? Would I be charged $75-$85 for them to come out and tell me that? Or what if the unit was bad and they wanted thousands of dollars to fix it? I certainly wouldn't go with the first company I called without checking with others. So saying they would deduct the service call fee from the repair work meant nothing, especially if there wasn't anything to "repair".
When we called Aire Serv, they said they could send someone out that afternoon to take a look at the unit. The service technician, Greg D., called just before arriving and introduced himself once here. We explained the problem and told him that the AC system came on, but it seemed to blow warm air and not cool air. He checked the thermostat settings, then took some readings from the AC vents and the return air vent. He then went outside to the AC unit and said there was a problem because the compressor was not coming on (even though the fan was). He said he did not know if the compressor was bad or if it was the capacitor, but he would check. We asked if he thought all it needed was recharging and he said he didn't know that either, but would check everything. When he opened the unit, he took some readings from the pipes, then checked some connections and said the capacitor unit was bad. He shut off the unit and went to his truck and came back with a "good" capacitor, which he then connected to our AC unit. He also had a hard start kit and explained what he was going to do (connect both and then turn the system back on to see if the compressor would operate with the two devices he just installed). He explained what the each component did and why. The unit started up again and this time the compressor was operating. He then went back inside the casita and took the same readings as he had done initially. He explained that there should be at least 15 degrees difference between the return air vent and the output air vents (and there was) and we could also FEEL the difference in the room almost immediately. We asked Greg many questions regarding how the capacitor could have gone bad, what the hard start unit was for, etc. and he patiently explained everything to us. Greg was extremely knowledgeable regarding how the units worked and very polite and professional. Because of this we asked him to service our other two AC units to ensure there were no problems with them. We had no indications that anything was wrong with them, but felt he was very honest and knowledgeable and we would rather have him look at them while he was here rather than take the chance of something happening later and having to call him back.
He performed maintenance on both units and checked the entire HVAC systems, meaning he not only inspected and performed
maintenance on the AC units themselves, but also went up into the attic and did the same for the two furnaces there. We were extremely satisfied to learn everything looked good. Because of his explanation of the purpose of the hard start kit as well as the costs to replace a compressor unit, we opted to have him install hard start kits on our other two AC units. He did not try to upsell these to us, nor did he even imply that they were needed. He did however tell us that having them could help to prolong the life of the compressor and felt it was a good option for the unit which we had the initial trouble with. And since that capacitor went bad on that unit and the hard start kit would reduce the AMP draw when called, we decided it would be worth the investment to have them installed on our other units, considering the cost of replacing a compressor, should it go bad. With him already here, it made sense to us to install then on our other units as well. Unfortunately, Greg did not have the additional kits on his truck, so he would have to return the next day to install them, which he did.
Because of the positive experience with Greg, we have no doubt we will be using Aire Serv again when it is time to have our furnances checked in the Winter. We have already told our neighbors (some who had less than satisfactory experiences with other HVAC competitor companies) about Air Serv and how well everything went. We even asked Greg to leave us some door hangers and business cards that we could share with others because we were so satisfied with his work. We definitely recommend using Aire Serv; ask for Greg D. as your service technician. You'll get an honest assessment and excellent work performed, if needed. Aire Serv also gives Angies List, military service members and senior discounts!

"We will be contacting you today to discuss this review. There are a few things we have questions about and are looking forward to discussing with you. We have only been to your home twice. Once in October 2011 and once in April 2012. The repairs recommended where common repairs. Capacitor and a contactor, both are very very common repairs. If you have any questions before we get a hold of you please feel free to give me a call. Jeremy Anderson General Manager 702-324-6392 cell"
