Description of Work: I called the service provider and gave them a description of the work I needed. The service provider came out and said they would do the scope of work and measurements and send the estimate to a company that can do it for me. I received an email today and they said they don't do rolled flat roofs, only touchdowns and will not do the work for me. They did not send the information to the company as they promised. I don't like my time wasted, its valuable to me.

Description of Work: Our house is about 26 years old, with its original concrete tile roof. An estimator for an interior project noticed a couple of water stains on the ceiling in one room, which prompted us to contact contractors for roof repairs. We asked for estimates to repair just the area around the leak, as well refurbishing the entire roof. One company gave us a bid of $2,000 for the spot repair, and $11,000 for the entire roof. Ariat's bid was $1,245 for the limited job, and $10,945 for the entire roof. Not only was it a bit less than the first company's bid for the complete roof -- it also specified installing two layers of new felt underlayment, instead of just one. Consensus seems to be that in our extreme desert climate, the underlayment is the most vulnerable part of the roof, and two layers should last much longer than one. They arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. on Monday August 1, and finished in 4 days, one day less than they promised. They were very careful to leave the roof in a waterproof state at the end of each working day, which we appreciated because there were showers forecast each day while the work progressed. Not only that, they very carefully cleaned up the debris every day before they left -- of which there was a considerable amount. After they finished, I called their office because I was concerned about a few tiles that were discolored (as it turns out, they were just dirty). Jay Gray, the owner, and his son Josh came by today (August 8), moved some of the discolored tiles to a less visible location, and washed off a few of them by hand to demonstrate that a good rain should restore the roof to uniform color. I would gladly recommend Ariat to anyone needing roofing work done.

Description of Work: I needed to have a repair done on my roof. Missing tiles, broken tiles, and re-calking. I was given an estimate, the crew came over and did all the work that was needed. No problem what so ever. In fact, all were very cordial and friendly. Besides Angie's List, I checked the company out on the Better Business Bureau in my area. They are a good credible company. I was very satisfied.

Description of Work: There were some loose tiles that the home inspection report noted so we called a local roofer. The men who came were polite, professional and as far as we call tell, did the work of repairing the loose tiles and caulking around the vent. They assured us our roof was in fine shape and not subject to leaking.
